Barbara Walters will continue her cross-country book tour for her memoir Audition with a stop at The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Wednesday. The show has already been taped and you can see a preview clip at Ellen’s website.

    If only they weren’t constantly mentioning Barbara’s book on The View every day, then I could really enjoy her being on a publicity tour.

    Tim Russert interviewed BW about her book this weekend on his “other” show (not Meet the Press). She talked about many View watchers (at-home mothers& women working at home, taking a coffee break from their busy day) & she said many women get their NEWS from watching The View. Interesting (and SCARY)!), no? It explains maybe why some of us get so hot under the collar when EH puts false information out there, misleads with Fox talking points, repeats these things. It’s hard for me, anyway, to assume people are not taking as truth and facts the idiocy that comes from EH’s mouth.

    Too bad BW didn’t cite any polls to back up her claim. She said it pretty definitively, though: “Many women get their NEWS from The View.”

    I so hope this is not true. That’s about as scary as those that believe those mass, urban legend emails.
    And if it is true, Barb, of all people, should insure that what is being said on her show is as accurate as possible.

    Maybe they should daily have a scrawl at the bottom of the screen saying “This show for entertainment only”.
