Barbara Walters Special: The Royal Family
Did anyone watch the Barbara Walters special on The Royal Family tonight? I thought it was pretty interesting to see some behind the scenes of the royal family, although I think I might have enjoyed the longer version that aired in the UK over this truncated version with the Barbara Walters voice overs. I also thought that the first hour or so was edited rather oddly, as though there were segments that they wanted to include that really didn’t go together so they just sort of put them together.
During one part of the show, they outlined the preparations that took place for the Queen’s state dinner at the White House and then they showed some footage of the actual dinner. I didn’t see Elisabeth Hasselbeck, but I do believe I saw her husband Tim during the Queen’s speech. Anyone else catch a glimpse of him?
Let me know what you thought of the show

I had wanted to see this special, but only caught bits and pieces as…my grand kids were over, and demanded my attention.
One part I didn’t see or hear much of was the Queen’s speech.
What I did get to see and hear I thought was interesting. Of course with small ones making all kinds of noise, my full attention was not on it.

Enjoyed your special re the Royal Family…well done!
i have two questions: To whom do the royal properties belong, the jewels, the estates, farms, etc. Are they not Elizabeth’s through inheritance?
Second: what does she carry in those purses? Driver’s license. make up. credit cards?
