Dear Nancy Grace
Dear Nancy Grace,
That was a clever stunt that you pulled on The View today, showing that adorable picture of your twins and tearing up talking about them. It made me (gasp!) like you a little.
However, when you started talking about current legal cases in the news, I saw the other side of you start to ooze out. Had the segment been just a bit longer, I am sure that you would have been back to full blown Mean Nancy Grace.
You know that we have had our differences over the years, me having to remind you about that piece of paper called “The Constitution” and that little thing called “The Due Process Clause,” while you continue to shout to the rafters how everyone is guilty guilty guilty, even though there has not even been a trial. I realize that the is the prosecutor coming out in you and, well, maybe you can’t help it.
The prosecutorial sentiment of “guilty verdict at all costs” seems to be something that you cannot shake. I know that you feel that if there is a good enough chance that someone you have your eye on is guilty, that you might as well not leave room for the possibility that they aren’t. I won’t even try to explain to you the concept that all people deserve a fair trial, because obviously you didn’t get it when the Supreme Court of Georgia spelled it out for you after you committed prosecutorial misconduct.
I realize that being strong in your opinions makes for good television. I guess that I should be grateful that you are on television and no longer in a courtroom. It increases the chance that accused people in Georgia are getting a fair shake.
Just remember, Ms. Grace, that unless you are sitting in that jury box or on that bench as the judge, you have no right to condemn someone before they are tried. It is one thing for a regular news person to do so, but you, with the weight of a law degree and experience behind you, should really know better. If you disagree, maybe you should try taking a Constitutional Law refresher course. You just might learn something.
Sincerely,
Winnie

Here was this week’s assignment:
On this week’s episode of Project Runway, they contestants were teamed up and we learned that communication is everything. Communication is important in blogging too! This week, your challenge is a fun one, and its something that I do regularly here at BCS Frenzy - write a “Dear…” post. It can be to a reader, to a star in your field, to someone in your life…or to someone else! Draw us in with your post, that’s all I ask. (For examples of “Dear…” posts see my letters to Mike Hart or Bobby Petrino.)
Here, again, is what the contestants are playing for:

THANK YOU WINNIE,
There are VERY few people in this world that I loath, or have great disrespect for, however Nancy Grace is one of them. I don’t know a lot about her, but what I do know I very much dislike. So i want to thank you for your letter to her, and your words to her.
I have a sister who really likes her, and her show, and we constantly have disagreements about her. For the life of me I cannot understand her opinion concerning what Ms Grace does. And I believe I am a fairly understanding person.
Winnie, I need to ask you a question..May I please copy your letter to Ms Grace, I want to show it to my sister.
You simply have got to WIN this one. I wish I could vote 100 times a day.

I wish I saw more American patriotism like this in the face of “entertainment.”

Thanks, All!
Sure, Sandy feel free to share it with her!

OMG! I thought I was the only one who couldn’t stand as Keith O calls her “Nancy I know What You Did Last Summer Grace.” She is the judge, the jury and the prosecutor. Great letter Winnie!

I’ve hated Nancy grace for years. Having to watch a show with both her and Fox’s whore, Elizabeth, should be illegal.
It’s good to find women that also hate Elizabeth, people were calling me gay on some other boards because I hate her.
I thought it was funny that Nancy Grace lost her first fiance to violence, doesn’t appear thgat she learned anything.

Aiiiieee! I watch you site because if I listen to Nancy Grace live I will want to stick a pencil through my head.
She is like Medusa. I can only watch her through the reflection of your blog.
You don’t know me and my bushy mustache, but I am big fan of your site.
PS-I try to vote for you in the contest but the machine won’t let me…

I laugh every time I look at the picture Winnie posted of Nancy. She always looks ticked off.

I recall hearing that a family was going to sue her over the death of their daughter. Did the lawsuit go through, if so what was the outcome?
