On Saturday May 3rd, Elisabeth Hasselbeck attended the Revlon Run/Walk for Women in New York City. The 5k event was to raise money to help eradicate women’s cancers and had about 40,000 participants. Below are some photos of Elisabeth at the event. Among the photos are her with actress S. Winnie,
I also commented under the Rosie’s crafty U “post”.
Recently I have been getting error messages, so I wanted to repeat my THANK YOU to all the comment sections , hoping that one of them makes it to you.
I am enjoying your web site and all you offer to us. It is a dedication to us, that I appreciate, as do others. I read and watch so many events and news worthy items that you have for us to see and read. It is so much fun! THANK YOU WINNIE…

“It just goes to show, she truly is a wonderful person.”
LOL. No it doesn’t. She may or may not be “wonderful’: but participating in this event doesn’t “prove” it one way or the other. Many celebs do it for the publicity, or because they care about the cause. That doesn’t make them necessarily “wonderful.” It is a wonderful thing to do, because of the money and awareness it brings to the cause. But many not so wonderful people do things that have a wonderful effect.
P.S. Why didn’t you say “it just goes to show “EVERYONE” who participated is a wonderful person” instead of just EH?

I have to agree with you Carmen. Many people walked or ran. It doesn’t make them all truly wonderful, but it is a truly wonderful thing that they’ve done.

Yes a truly wonderful thing for all the participants to have been involved in.
I recently lost a VERY dear, dear friend to cancer, and I know she would have thought that all the participants were wonderful, no matter their reason for joining in.
# marilyn,
I so agree!!! Winnie and her dedication to this blog, is outstanding,.. another wonderful person, IMO. .

Of course, the other participants are all wonderful as well, my goodness! Anyone that’ll support such a great cause should be acknowledged and complimented.

It’s a wonderful thing to do. It’s wonderful that someone does it. People with cancer don’t care what the reasons are that someone does it. They think they person is wonderful to have done it. However …
Participating in the walk NOT mean the person is therefore a wonderful person.

Lol Ah amazing how one word could cause so much debate. EH is definitely not my favorite person but if Louise thinks she’s “wonderful” that’s her opinion.

Jason, it wasn’t a “word” I was laughing at! It was the conclusion Louise drew, that doing this event “proved” Elizabeth was a wonderful person. Still LOL.

Sandy:
I’m sorry for your loss. It’s tough to lose a friend. It’s a different kind of loss. I’ve been there. So many friends with breast cancer the last couple of years. Seems like an epidemic. I was very surprised when one of them said she really hates all the pink ribbon merchandise & related events (usually in October). I’m not sure why.

# 11 Carmen,
Thank you for your kind words. It was a very tough and emotional loss. She had Leukemia, and fought it for a year. She was the best of friends, whom brought a lot to my life. One that doesn’t come along too often, and she was a pretty special person. She was a giver, who gave and gave and gave. Always a positive attitude, and she ALWAYS found good in “everyone”. She is missed by so many.
She loved all the special events,(for cancer & research) and joined in them when she could. I believe because she didn’t like the thought of others and their family and friends having to endure the grief of cancer. She herself always remained positive, and would say that there will be a cure for all cancers one day.
