Elisabeth Hasselbeck Newsweek interview
Elisabeth Hasselbeck was interviewed by Newsweek. The full article is here. It seems like such a strange interview to me. I can’t help but wonder if this is just a portion of the conversation because they didn’t really talk about anything.
The interviewer asks her about her baby blog and asks her if she got the idea from Rosie O’Donnell. I thought that was an odd question because it is not as though blogging is a novel thing anymore.
They also touch on her short maternity leave and her busy schedule. At the end of the interview he thanked her for “not being mean,” which I thought was a strange thing for a journalist to say, even in jest. She responded by saying that because of the “liberal bias in the media” people think that she is “witchy” and argumentative.

Elisabeth seems like a woman who forms all of her opinions from what FoxNews tells her to believe, so maybe she truly believes that all people live that way, but I have news for her a lot of us dislike her becuase of what we see with and ear with our own eyes and ears on The View every day. And what I see is a woman who picks fights with guests, who tries to cram her poorly articulated opinions down other people’s throats, who monopolizes the air time, and who screeches her point across instead of speaking in a rational, calm, and adult manner. She has no one to blame for people disliking her but herself. It’s rather disappointing to hear a woman in her 30’s blame other people for her own actions, but considering the source it’s not that surprising. The View needs to replace her with a resepctful, articulate, grown-up conservative.

Sarah, is there such a thing as a grown up conservative?
Leave eh there, she does more damage to the kkk party than anything I could ever write on a blog.

Well what can I say..I agree with Winnie, it most assuredly is just part of an interview.
Different perceptions..I don’t see E.H. as “witchy and argumentative”.
I probably should just ignor it, ..matter of fact I know I should, however I really detest the term “KKK party”. I think that is extremely rude, and in “my opinion” ignorant.

The writer/interviewer can only do so much with an interview from EH because there’s no substance to work with.
