Giveaway: Win Rosie O’Donnell’s Crafty U

by Winnie McCarthy

rosie-odonnell-crafty-u.jpg

Rosie O’Donnell’s new book Crafty U is a lot of fun as it provides 100 different craft projects you can do on your own or with your children or grandchildren. You can read more about it in my review of Crafty U.

If you would like to own a copy of Crafty U, you can do any or all of the following three methods of entry into our book giveaway contest.

Entries using method one or two will be entered into two separate random drawings to win a copy of the book. There will be one winner per entry method. Entries via method three will be subjectively judged by me and I will pick my favorite and award that person a copy of the book. You can do all three methods of entry if you choose, but only one entry per method. Let me know if you have any questions. All entries must be received by Sunday May 18th at 11:00 p.m. central time.

1. Simply comment on this blog entry and let me know you want to win a copy of Crafty U. Only one entry per person. You must put a valid e-mail address in the “e-mail” box of the comment form so that I can contact you if you win. I will not share your e-mail address or use it for any other purpose but this contest.

2. Write about this contest or Rosie’s book on your blog and link to this entry about the contest. Please send me your blog entry that contains the link at winnieblogs @ gmail.com (without the spaces).

3. Email me at winnieblogs @ gmail.com (without the spaces) and tell me about a craft that you made in the past. This could be a craft that you made as a Mother’s Day gift, just for fun, or any other purpose. The story can be funny, touching, or celebratory of your craft success, whatever you like. I will read all of the entries and pick my favorite. The winner’s entry will be posted on the blog for all to read, but I can keep your name private if you choose.

Thanks to Rosie’s publisher Simon & Schuster for the books for the giveaway!

  1. Stephanie Says:

Well I dont have a blog so I’ll go with the first option and just leave a message on here so you know I would really like to win a copy of this book. I’m a huge fan of Rosie’s, I think she’s incredibly talented and has the ability to make everything more fun which is why I know this book will be awesome. I sure hope you randomly pick my name Winnie, thanks! -Stephanie

  2. Lessa Says:

    Whoo! Pick me pick me!

Did you see Rosie on Rachael Ray last week? It was a fantastic show - blast from the past with Rosie’s talk show, with a lot of funny little moments and crafting too. Was fantabulous!

  3. Kyla Says:

That looks like a fun book, Winnie!

  4. Sandra Says:

Winne, what a great giveaway! Count me in. I loved the book review you did too. The cats were too funny.

  7. Gillian Says:

I so want to just say “what they said.” Instead I’ll hope the competition goes spendidly and that I almost win a copy of the book. Why almost? I want one, but I really don’t want you to have to post it to Australia!

  8. Sally Says:

Oooohhh! I so want to see the inside of Rosie’s head through a craft book!

  9. ShannonP Says:

Count me in too! I am so untalented when it comes to crafts. I have the desire but not the talent. My sister can effortlessly draw photos of people, decorate her place, do crafty things…I can barely draw a stick person lol. I have a right brained heart but stuck with left brained talents.
Your review of the book was fun and made me want to see what it was about.

  10. Sandy Says:

Gee I could probably copy shannonP’s comment when it comes to craft’s.
but I love trying, and would love the book.
I have my grandkids often and they love doing crafts. What fun we could have together doing some crafts. With Rosie as our guide.

  11. Fanny Says:

    I’m in!

  12. Alyce Says:

I would love to win the book!!! Great review. Makes me want it even more.
Thanks for doing this. Adds some zest to the mundane.
