Is Barbara Walters finished doing PR for Paris?

According to Entertainment Tonight Online, Paris Hilton called Barbara Walters from jail Thursday night and asked her to do her first interview after getting out of jail. According to the article, Barbara declined. I can think of a few reasons why Barbara did not want to do the interview.
Why do you all think that Barbara Walters declined the interview? (assuming, of course, that the report is true)

Sooo happy when i heard this, not that i like BW at all, but because I really believe that BW or BG might be reading some of these comments that we leave here.
I really think that it is because of the negitive publicity that Babs received because of her constant and unrelenting ‘updates’ on the Paris situation on the view over the last weeks. It was disgusting, then to see that both Kathy and Nicki Hilton showed up to ‘walk of fame’ unveiling, after BW herself had said on the view that her and Kathy Hilton not particualaly ‘close’ friends. What a croc!!

I think it was money. Possibly Barb wouldn’t pay.
I don’t think Barb is done doing PR for the Hiltons though.

Apparently, the Hiltons decided against ABC because they thought they could get a better deal with NBC. Then NBC said they didn’t want it, so the Hiltons went back to ABC. Barbara seemed to still want to do the interview after both Paris and her dad phoned her to straighten things out. But ABC ultimately nixed the whole idea.
So maybe no exclusive one-on-one interview, but I think Paris might still end up as a guest on The View after things cool down a bit. Barbara does love ratings.
