Is Star Jones Smarter Than a 5th Grader?

The Fox game show Are you Smarter Than a 5th Grader? has released a list of celebrities that are set to appear on the upcoming season. According to Buddy TV, among them is former The View co-host Star Jones.

I think that Star Jones has a good chance of doing well on the show, as she is an intelligent woman based on legal analysis that I have heard her present, although I don’t know anything about her skills in basic math or history. For those of you who have never seen the show, the contestants have to answer questions based on the typical curriculum of different elementary school grade levels and can be helped out by actual elementary school children who often know more of the answers than the contestants.

I have tried watching the show before and while I think the questions are decent and concept is pretty good, the delivery of the show, like many game shows these days, is annoying. Due to all the “We’ll find out after the break,” the re-capping, and the frequent pauses for dramatic effect, I feel like they don’t actually answer that many questions. I would take Jeopardy! and its rapid-fire questioning over all of the newer game shows any day.

Yes, in case you were wondering, I am pretty desperate in trying to find things to post about as this hiatus drags on. New episodes of The View will begin September 2nd and although I was really looking forward to the hiatus, I will be happy when the new season resumes so that I will have more interesting things to write about.
