Joy Behar attends Rosie O’Donnell’s Art Exhibition
In addition to releasing her new book Celebrity Detox today, Rosie O’Donnell also celebrated the opening of her new art exhibition “Solace: An Exhibition of Paintings.”
Among her friends who showed up for the opening were Margaret Cho, Susan Powter, Chita Rivera, and Cyndi Lauper. Also attending the opening was her former co-host at The View, Joy Behar.
The show is at the The Gallery at New World Stages in New York City.
Here are some photos from the event:

I’m very happy to hear this.
Will those in the press who hate Rosie report this, or will they accidentally forget to?

I wonder if Joy is sending words from Barbara… This is probably the first time Rosie saw any of her co-hosts since May.

I am so happy to read that Joy showed up! I’m so loving Joy lately! This is clearly Joy’s: I MISS MY FORMER CO-HOSTS WEEK!

Wow, good for her! I hope she mentions this on the show but thats probably unlikely.

I got the impression that Joy was delighted that Whoopie was in the catbird seat with all her fawning at the start of the season. Nice to see she may have a place in her heart for Rosie…or maybe things are not so rosy at The View and she wishes Rosie was still in the cast???
I was never a fan of Viera’s, her stage mom segments with her children and the no underwear schtick got old for me…it made me cringe when I saw the clip of BW asking Meredith if she had underwear on, how senile is she these days!

It’s nice to know that Joy and Rosie are still in contact. The way the media talked about her book , you’d think Joy would be pissed at her.

How can that hot mess be called art??? And a whole show of it???? Sheesh….how insulting to the real artists out there who would die for a chance to exhibit their work! Let’s face it, this would never happen if it weren’t Rosie O’Donnell. My 4-year-old can do as well (actually, better!).

Re:Sophie
That’s what people who knew nothing about art said about Picasso, too!
What is a “real” artist anyway? Someone who paints pictures of pretty flowers or someone who paints how they are feeling during the turbulant time we are living in? Remember, what may not be art to one, is a masterpiece to another.

Bubbles you said what I was going to.
Art is subjective. What one finds is beautiful, someone else may see as atrocious.
I am glad Joy came out to support Rosie. I am sure that meant a lot.

Frankly, I always thought Picasso was over-rated…

I have to agree with most of the others. The beauty in art, is in the eye of the beholder.
I too am glad that Joy went to support Rosie.

I got the impression from the Larry King show that Joy was glad to be rid of Rosie. I still wish Meredith would come back to the show.
