Joy Behar Exposed “Ugly New McCain”
In an op-ed piece today in the Washington Post, journalist Richard Cohen weighed in on The View interview of John McCain. (At first I thought the author was Meredith Vieria’s husband, but I discovered that is Richard M. Cohen, a different writer).
In the article, Cohen writes that McCain “has become the sort of politician he once despised” and this was exposed on the View by Joy Behar. Cohen notes that when Behar asked McCain about the advertisements that included lies about Barack Obama, McCain had a chance “to say that he had not really known about the ads, that the formulation ‘I approve this message’ was just boilerplate. But he didn’t. ‘Actually, they are not lies,’ he said. Actually, they are. McCain has turned ugly.”
Cohen also writes that he was properly accused for many years of “being in the tank for McCain” and the things that he once respected in McCain have now been “soiled.”

It’s very sad watching this man’s integrity crash along with the economy.

This is an excellent, excellent article. I didn’t know who Richard Cohen was before, but I sure do now.
“McCain has soiled all that. His opportunistic and irresponsible choice of Sarah Palin as his political heir — the person in whose hands he would leave the country — is a form of personal treason, a betrayal of all he once stood for. Palin, no matter what her other attributes, is shockingly unprepared to become president. McCain knows that. He means to win, which is all right; he means to win at all costs, which is not.”

I was just reading a post on the OJ2 trial, and the prosecutor started off with a quote that seems to apply to McCain:
Nathaniel Hawthorne: No man, for any considerable period, can wear one face to himself and another to the multitude, without finally getting bewildered as to which one is true.

Would SOMEONE PLEASE offer Elizabeth Hasselbeck another job somewhere, anywhere! Did anyone watch today (9/16) and see how she PURPOSEFULLY tried to spin Joe Biden’s statement? She out and out LIED and said the Joe Biden said, “if sarah palin were to make it to the White House, it would be a backward step for women”. Barbara Walters found the exact quote, which was, “I assume she thinks and agrees with the same policies that G. Bush and J. McCain think, and that is obviously a backwards step or women”. She tried to MAKE it into a sexist remark, when he was probably referring to her position on Roe v Wade. She is such a little dishonest wench. They need to can her. She’s spoiled rotten, and obviously VERY used to having HER way.
She’s the FIRST to cry that someone isn’t being honest…..look at her….she is a disgusting person.

This interview was so biased! If the public saw the interview with McCain and Obama side by side they would be appauled by the way each candidate was treated, did you ask Obama any meaty questions, you were just interested that he was sexy - is this news? You barely gave McCain a chance to respond before you riddled him with questions of some substance. Get with it ladies hopefully the public is smarter than we think and will boycott the show - sorry Elizabeth!

The name of the show should be changed to:
The Democrat View

I think Joy Behar was so disrespectful to John McCain, this is a man of integrity, a real American hero. Being the gentleman he is, he took the abuse. The View is nothing more than a platform for the Democratic candidate (excluding Elizabeth). Barak Obama is an intelligent man, but is in no way ready to run our country.

BIAS! BIAS! BIAS!
That’s why I don’t even watch this show. You’ve got four chicks so far to the left they can’t even see straight and ONE that has a brain at all.
You guys don’t even know how to give a fair and balanced “View” so stop pretending you’re all so great. I’m telling everyone (that is at home when the show is on) that this show is CRAP and don’t watch it.
“Obama, you’re so perfect and sexy.”
“McCain, you’re an evil liar!”
Hmmm…let’s all guess who each of you will be voting for. If you were good at your jobs, then we wouldn’t know.
