Joy Behar on LOGO
Joy Behar did an interview with Will Winkle of the LOGO network. It is a pretty interesting interview, covering topics including the changes to the cast over the years, Rosie O’Donnell, and Star Jones. At the end of the interview, Joy talks about an interview that Elisabeth Hasselbeck did with LOGO. If you missed that, it is here.

I think the guy who interviewed Joy in this video is a doll.

I like Joy, but I think she has a potty mouth. I remember she made a few appearances on Rosie’s video blog Jahero and she likes to use the “f” word a lot.

I just finished the interview and I must disagree with Joy about EH. Why should she be praised for doing the right thing. I mean, gays and lesbians are people too, so why wouldn’t she want to be interviewed by LOGO?

I enjoyed watching this. I really like Joy a lot & wish someday I could see her stand-up.
It was fun to see Whoopi, too.
However, I was dismayed, to say the least, at their response to the interviewer saying that last year had more energy in terms of talking about important issues passionately. Joy thinks that what he and other viewers are really saying is that they want the panelists to fight; and Whoopi said she doesn’t like to yell at people and be yelled at. I don’t think that’s what most viewers are wanting at all and I wish they wouldn’t reframe the question to make it seem like we want a Maury Povitch type of verbal mud-fight. They are missing the point entirely, and I don’t know if it’s deliberate or not. They are clearly skirting around and even avoiding important topics in this post-Rosie era. I’d like to know why–is it because they got scared after all the screamers on cable TV “news” shows kept yelling for ABC to fire Rosie? Did they get tons of mail from viewers asking for her head?

Thanks for posting this. I think Joy is awesome and she answered every question dead on. I’m glad she defended Elisabeth (did you notice the interview spelled her name wrong?) as not being anti-gay. A lot of liberals think EH is against anything “non-conservative” and that just isn’t true. I remember EH’s interview with LOGO (the interviewer was the same guy right?) and she was very supportive of the gay movement.
