Joy Behar on Real Time with Bill Maher
The View host Joy Behar will be on tonight’s episode of Real Time with Bill Maher. The show airs on HBO at 11:00 p.m. eastern time. Unfortunately I do not get HBO, but anyone who is able to catch the episode, please comment about what she had to say.
Hopefully some clips will be available at some point so that we can all see it.

I looked forward to seeing Joy Behar on the Bill Maher show.( I love Bill’s show )
I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED. Joy did not have much to say, in my opinion. She had a couple of zingers and that was all. Joy has great intellect and is very knowlegable regarding current events.I wish she had taken charge of the conversation, a few times. ( which she is capable of doing ) I am a fan of Joy and know she can do better.

I’m going to look on You tube for a clip. I too though Joy would be very outspoken on the show.

Does anyone else think the producers of The View have told Whoopi and Joy to tone it down in an effort to get past the messes with Star and Rosie?
I hae been disappointed in both of them when I saw them on Larry King and on the very few times I have tried to watch the program since Whoopi started. I still can’t put up with EH!
Anyway, I have the feeling they have een asked or told to tone it down.

Random Musings,
I think you’re right. From what I’ve read of the recaps they cover more fluff topics than “hot topics.”

I definitely agree. Sometimes you can see Joy looked pissed-off and frustrated when they are talking about fluffy subjects. Also, when Barbara is there (I agree with Rosie - Barb should retire), as soon as anything gets remotely interesting, she jumps in and changes the subject.

RandomMusing, this is the $64,000 question for me. They clearly have toned it down, and then some.
The entirety of Real Time with Bill Maher seems to be on youtube. Joy did her best, but Tucker Carlson was very aggressive and defensive, especially with Paul Krugman, so she was left out in the cold. I wish Bill would have mentioned Ann Coulter’s latest moronic hate-filled comments when Joy brought up her name. At least she pointed out that the Repug presidential contenders are afraid to come on The View.

#7 Peaches said-At least she pointed out that the Repug presidential contenders are afraid to come on The View.
And so was barry manilow.

If they’re afraid to go on the View, how can they stand up to Bin Laden? ( Just thinking like a Repub)
Tucker hasn’t been the same since Jon Stewart humiliated him on TV. He’s even gotten rid of his bow tie.

Barry wasn’t afraid to come on The View, he was making a statement about EH. I imagine there are several in the entertainment biz that are skipping the show. Law & Order SVU comes to mind.. after EH went after the writers and producer.

#10 Barry wasn’t afraid to come on The View, he was making a statement about EH.
And that statement was- “I think she’s [eh] dangerous and offensive.”
Since he thought she was dangerous, he must be afraid of her.

Dee, I was a little confused at first by your quoting me in your post. Barry Manilow? He’s not a presidential candidate, so what does he have to do with anything I said about the Repugs? I guess a troll must have made an apples-and-oranges comparison? (I scroll by trolls….) Anyway, you are right: Barry was just making a statement. It seems to have gone over like a lead balloon, but at least for one unguarded moment he had the guts to call things as he saw them. I think he said EH’s comments were dangerous & offensive, which is how they rub me, as well.
