Joy Behar to Perform in Aurora, Illinois
I was reading a local news feed in my area and I saw that Joy Behar will be bringing her stand-up routine to Illinois. She will be performing at the Paramount Theater in Aurora, Illinois on September 20th.
I am pretty tempted to get tickets to go see her. I cannot remember ever seeing any of her stand-up routines, although I am sure some of the jokes that she repeats over and over are likely to pop up in the routine. While I think seeing her in person would be fun, I am not sure I can sit through her Salman Rushdie joke again or her tired Monica Lewinsky jokes. I know that she said that she is more outspoken in her routines that she can be on television, so that is what is encouraging me to consider the possibility, even though it is quite a bit of a drive for me to get to Aurora and the tickets are not exactly cheap.
Have any of you ever seen Joy’s stand-up, either in person or on video/television/internet? I wonder what View jokes she makes? I doubt anything criticizing current hosts, but she probably has some Star Jones material and maybe some Rosie O’Donnell jokes as well.
For those of you in the area, you can get more information from the Paramount website. Tickets are $58.50/$48.50.

thanks Winnie,
I have never seen any of Joy’s routine’s either in person or on TV, but I would love to….either, ..both.
I’m a fairly big fan of stand up comedy (as well is my husband. When I lived in Toledo, we’d go to the Comedy Club often.

Thanks Winnie,
I’m sure Joy will be funny. I like her off the cuff remarks. I know she uses some colorful language. Remember her appearances in the great JAHERO videos?

I wouldn’t mind seeing Joy in person too but I too have had enough of her 10-year-old Monica jokes. Let’s hope she has something more fresh. That woman cracks me up. Great site by the way. I am a View fanatic so you’ll be hearing a lot from me.

Hi Lisa Irby,
I am tired of the Monica jokes, too. But would love to see Joy in person.
JAHERO was ahead of its time.
Speak up often.
