    Now THIS I gotta see.

    Thanks for the heads up!

  2. lisa Says:

why does this woman never wear sleeves ???

  3. msroncon Says:

They should not be doing this.

They already have their noses stuck so far up Obama and now she’s co-hosting? I’m sure EH will love this day.

  4. Stacee Says:

“They should not be doing this.”

Why not? Cindy was on. Why not Michelle?

  5. rainlillie Says:

“why does this woman never wear sleeves ???”

When you have toned arms you kind of like showing them off.

“They should not be doing this.”

    Good question Stacee.

  6. Tina Says:

I am an Obama Supporter all the way but I think this is a bad move for Michelle. I’m just wondering why she feels she has to be on The View at this time. I know she’s smart, funny and outspoken… maybe she’ll share her insight on some issues but I hope she’s prepared because everything she says will be scrutinized and challenged by those who are just looking for any reason not to vote for Obama. I’m going to keep my fingers crossed and say a little prayer that everything goes smoothly, especially if it’s a slow news week. We all know the McCain camp would rather have us focus on another overblown, insignificant Obama controversy instead of the economy, gas prices, and the war.

  7. Sandy Says:

I am very interested in seeing this show, and hope I’ll be able to. I think Michelle will make a good host.
I think Michelle is a very smart woman, she knows that the opponents will be watching.

  8. Stacee Says:

Good point, Tina. I totally understand what you are saying.

I don’t dislike Michelle Obama, but I don’t necessarily like her either. I guess my feelings toward her are ambivalant. That said, because I like Barack, I want her to have a positive appearance on the show.

You are right, people will be listening with a fine ear to what she says. Candidates’ and their wives words are scrutinized, guess that’s just our nature. I do think she’s come to the realization by now that that will happen, and I hope she is prepared.

But since she will be on, I will watch. It should be an interesting show in light of Sen. Obama’s historic win (as the Democrat nominee) and subsequently her viewpoint on it(as his wife).

  9. rainlillie Says:

I understand both your points Stacee and Tina,
but Michelle has been in the public eye for quite awhile. Remember that Obama was a Senator in the Illinois senate first. She’s use to the press, maybe not on this level, but she has some experience with being under scrutiny.

    Sandy,
I also agree that she knows her husbands opponents will be watching. I don’t think she’s going to go into sex talk or anything that could embarrass or cause her husband harm. I watched her on Colbert and she was very down to earth and personable.

  10. Stacee Says:

    That’s true, Rain.
I had forgotten about her appearance on Colbert. If I remember correctly, she did well.
    :-)

  11. Eleanor Richard Says:

    Hi there!

I am sooooo….excited & can’t wait ’til Mrs. Michelle Obama gets the opportunity to host the View.

I personally hope that Elizabeth is not present because she has so many NEGATIVE opinions about Senator Obama, i.e., racism, prejudice & discriminatory views on The View. She constantly gets away with it. Her personal opinions should be left outside of the stage door. She needs to first. grow up & face the real world.

Her face changes so many times when Senator Obama’s name or a clip is shown of him that doesn’t even pertain to him but Elizabeth will take the opportunity to twist him in it & than go on her evil pounce-she makes me cringe.

Elizabeth has never expressed such outrange & anger with anyone else, but she really shows her RACE card when anyone of color is featured.

She ALWAYS gives people she likes the benefit of the doubt. She gets extremely upset when the panel doesn’t agree with her childish pouting.

She needs to be critiqued & try to be bias with the guest instead of dragging them through the mud….Elizabeth…Is a Trip & must Get-A-Life, NOW!!!!

    Talk to ya’
