    I CAN’T BELIEVE WHAT HAPPENED !!!!!!!!!!!!
I WAS ALL EXCITED ABOUT THE HALLOWEEN SHOW,WITH ROSIE. THEN, MY LOCAL “FOX” CHANNEL, DID NOT SHOW IT !!!!!!!!! IT HAD BEEN ADVERTISED AND WAS ALSO IN THIS MORNINGS LINE UP, IN THE NEWPAPER.
I CALLED MY LOCAL “FOX” STATION AND SHE SAID THEY HAD NO CONTROL OVER WHAT THE NATIONAL STATION DOES.
DID THIS HAPPEN TO ANYONE ELSE? I AM FURIOUS .

  7. rainlillie Says:

    marilyn,
It was broadcast here either. I guess they’re going to show it tomorrow. I’m not sure what happened.

  8. rainlillie Says:

I meant to say it “WASN’T” broadcast here either.

  9. Alice Says:

The show rebroadcasts a day later or so on the Fine Living Channel. If you have Directv, it is on channel 232. I know it is on at 8pm and later in the night.

  10. marilyn Says:

    Rainlillie and Alice,

Rosie now has a picture on her blog, of her and Martha , in their costumes…so the show must have gone on.
Thanks for your responses. Misery loves company.

Martha comes on right after The View here.

Seeing Rosie on TV was great for me. She definitely has a TV persona.
She came out as the Queen. I thought she looked great.
She was also very funny and engaging.

Some of the costumes on the show were very creative! They had marrionettes and 4 goddessess with an ‘Its a Good Thing’ theme (I think that’s what it was!). Also an Oscar and Emmy team (girl and guy dressed as the awards). Loved that. Rosie SO wanted to give out prizes, but Martha put a lid on that.

One thing is I don’t think Martha has a great TV personality. Sure, she is great at crafts and definitely knows her stuff. But I don’t find her to be very warm. She does not engage in friendly banter. She’s definitely not funny.

I won’t critique Martha’s show any more. But I will say it was such a breath of fresh air to hear and see Rosie. I hope she returns to TV soon.

  12. kc Says:

No giveaway except for Rosie’s book, but Rosie got Martha to hug an audience member, that’s something, right? The banter between two almost polar opposite personalities was quite interesting. Rosie critiqued and teased Martha like no one else would dare (although she also gave Martha a big dose of kiss-ass, too)!

Rosie was hit-or-miss funny with the over-the-top queeny accent, but she had the conversational skill to keep things rolling during the rather ho-hum craft project and the daring to say or joke about things that others wouldn’t on tv.

  13. Stacee Says:

lol, you’re right kc. Rosie gave every audience member a copy of her book. Oh and how ever could I forget Martha’s hug to the audience member? :)

kc, you’re also right about her queen imitation was hit and miss. I really enjoyed the accent but others did not seem to.

I also think you nailed it when you state Rosie had the conversational skills to keep things rolling. That’s it right there. She’s really good at it.

And yes, I noticed the teasing too. Did you catch her references to ‘the clink’? lol.

Martha is a bit too uptight for my taste. I love crafts and her decorating and just overall style but I can’t watch her show. I tried to finish watching this show after Rosie left. I saw up to the part that she was mixing that delicious looking cake. She was terrible. With her ‘dark hair she’s a downtown girl’. haha. And Joey licking the mixer attachment made me go ewwwww.

Forgot to mention: Martha looked so nice and pretty in her goddess costume. The glampire costume was also good.

  14. kc Says:

I turned off the tv soon after Rosie left, too! lol

You can tell Rosie really wanted to hijack the show at every turn, but Martha kept a firm lid on Rosie’s ethusiasm. A real-life odd couple.

Yes, Martha did look good in her goddess costume. Really ethereal and perfect-looking.

  15. rainlillie Says:

I checked my listings and the show is going to air tomorrow. Which is strange, since Halloween was today.

  16. Peaches Says:

Oh, gee … what a sight for sore eyes!! If I had been in the audience I would have given her a standing ovation. It was SO great to see her again.

I liked her accent and thought it was funny as hell when she said she sounded more like Julia Child (more like Dan Aykroyd doing Julia Child!).

I always think Martha’s small-talk with her guests so pretty awkward, it’s fascinating, so it surprised me that she seemed a little more comfortable than usual with Rosie.

I loved everything about Rosie’s appearance: She was funny and dominant but not dominating … and of course as kc said she was dying to make it HER show … but she seemed at the same time to be pretty quick to realize it was not. She struck me as having moments of being a little unsure of herself being back on TV again. It was kind of sweet.

I enjoyed her comments about Martha having done time in the clinker, and how Martha made a face when Rosie apparently approached her back then to do a show together.

Loved so much seeing Rosie’s Broadway Kids. And loved seeing her in the audience, talking so easiliy with them about their costumes.

I hope we see more of her and don’t have to wait for spring, when she’ll probably be doing shows hawking her upcoming Craft U book. Someone give that girl a show!

I agree Peaches. The folks on the View really should have tried to be more accommodating to Rosie’s requests. She really did bring a lot to show. I started watching again after EH left, and it’s just a tad bit too boring for me.
