Salon: How the Election Ate Daytime Television
Salon has an article posted today called How the Election Ate Daytime Television which talks at length about The View’s role in this presidential race.
Among other things, the author writes that “Whatever the reason, daytime talk shows have showcased some of the most sophisticated (as well as some of the most mind-numbingly stupid) conversations about what’s happening on the political stage this season.” She also goes on to recap some of discussions they have had on The View and notes Sherri Shepherd’s increased involvement in the political discussions. She also mentions the hard questioning of John McCain, as well as Bill Clinton’s interview.
The article also discusses The Ellen DeGeneres Show and The Rachael Ray Show and their role in the process.

Elisabeth is too closed minded to be on this type of program. The way she talked Oct. 9, 2008, she has NEVER had any acquaintances she wishes she did not have? However, she will castigate others. She needs to move on and be replaced on the show.

I think if I hear one more reference to the “HARD QUESTIONING OF THE MCLAMES”
I will throw up. My God those people are such fricking wimps…And just look how things are presently, how dirty they have
gotten in the race.
