Contender for View host Sherri Shepherd is currently appearing on the cover of Figure magazine. In the magazine she talks about her life, her career, and her experiences at The View.

I liked this quote about what has prepared her to be a co-host on The View.

I do have an opinion. I’m not well traveled and I don’t know a bunch of celebrities. But I’ve struggled. I’ve gotten my car repoed. I’ve been evicted. I’ve been in abusive relationships. I’ve been in debt up to my neck. I’ve lived. That, and the way I look at things, prepared me. I think what we go through in life is hysterically funny.
