Shirley MacLaine Interview (partial video)

by

Here is a video of the exchange that Shirley MacLaine had with Elisabeth Hasselbeck on today’s View, where Shirley could not remember the part of her book about radionics. The second video is Elisabeth reading from Shirley’s book about the subject.

  1. ShannonP Says:

I read about this exchange on another site and by the comments you’d think that there had been this fierce angry exchange between Shirley and EH and a “smackdown”. And when I watched it I thought THAT is what people are talking about? It didn’t seem that big of a deal to me. As usual EH asks WAY too long of a question and Shirley forgot what was in her own book. But I don’t think there was any “smackdown” as people were implying. Am I missing something? I didn’t watch anything other than that clip.

  2. Dee Says:

This time it looks and sounds like Sherri said something to Bits and the snot replied I am going to find it in the book. I am disappointed in Sherri, she seems to be feeding Bits by her coddling and whispering. She lost me as a fan.

I don’t know why The View has Shirley or Van Praagh on when they only want to discredit them…what’s the point, except to be rude!

I am looking forward to the CHanel movie!!!!

  3. Winnie McCarthy Says:

I wouldn’t call it a “smackdown” either, but it was a very bizarre exchange. I added a second video from later in the interview where Elisabeth quotes from Shirley’s book.

  4. ShannonP Says:

Winnie, I agree on the bizarre definition, especially when EH couldn’t just let it go and seemed SO obsessed with it. She was holding the book on her lap just waiting for an opportunity after break to readdress it and prove herself right. She looked stupid.
I just didn’t think there was a smackdown from Shirley, just EH being the typical lousy interviewer and brat we’ve all come to know and dislove.

  5. Kay Says:

Did no one think BW was rude today???

  6. LDS Says:

Shirley seemed very uncomfortable with BW. She seemed annoyed by EH. Sherrie just sat there adding nothing to the interview. Shirley thanked Whoopie for intervening and asking a questions about her upcoming movie. She also responded well to Joy. JMO

  7. LDS Says:

One other thing, why does Sherrie feel the need to always pamper EH after she does or says something to embarass herself. Sherri you are not her mother.

Watch the clip and notice Sherrie rubbing EH’s knee in clip #1.

  8. Tina Says:

I thought everyone except Whoopi was extremely rude to such a icon as Shirley. Did anyone notice when Shirley first came out that Shirley went in to kiss Barbara and then Barbara seemed to turn away or redirect Shirley’s kiss to just an air kiss. Then it just seemed that Barbara was so rude, not even bringing up one movie that Shirley has done and then the way she asked the questions just seem sarcastic. While I don’t agree on everything Shirley says, I am a fan of Shirley’s movies and would have expected a better interview then this rude display.

  9. Josie Says:

Maybe Barbara was mad that she didn’t get to plug her book yet again.

  10. Debbie Says:

I think Shirley was bitchy with EH but… Shirley IS an icon. While I don’t condone behavior like that, I’m more against acting like a two year old on national TV! Which is what EH did.

Shirley got snappy….and said, “I have no idea what you’re talking about”. Which is when Elizabeth acted like a two year old instead of laughing at herself or Shirley for that matter for being a bitch.

She almost started to argue with Shirley saying “I don’t know, I’m asking you. It’s on my card” Shirley blew her off (double whammy) and started talking to someone else, ignoring the subject completely.

Sherri gave her the “everything’s gonna be ok” look and patted her. Which made her act even more pouty, like someone understood. Elizabeth sat there, pouty, threw her arms up while looking at Barbara Walters who was probably thinking “be professional you stupid twit”. Then, when they go to commercial you can hear Elizabeth say, “I’m looking it up in her book”

She pouted childishly on TV because Shirley MacLaine made her feel stupid!

    Wow…what a pro.

  11. Yellow4Ro Says:

EH acted like a dog not willing to let go of her “bone”. IMO, EH was trying to bait Shirley MacLaine into a typical GOP/right-wing “gotch-ya” moment and Shirley wasn’t falling for it. This entire interview goes to show how Bill Geddes uses EH as a tool to push the GOP agenda and BW goes along with it.
The View claims to be a show about a woman’s view. How can this be the case when six out of the nine producers on this show are men? It’s more like a male view of what woman should think and feel. If it were truly a show about women and for women, such ridiculous interview tatctics would never be allowed.
It’s very sad that good female performers (Whoppi, Joy, and Sherri) allow themselves to be made to look the fool to prop up EH. And even more sad is the fact that BW is squandering her legacy as a pioneering woman journalist to feed the egos of Bill Geddes and EH. BW’s credibility continues it’s downward spiral.

  12. Stacee Says:

    “Wow…what a pro.”
    Debbie, I second that comment.
Wow. I loved how Shirley handled herself.

I am also curious about the knee massaging - what was up with that? Sherri is always rubbing Bitsy down, like one would a toddler that needs consoling.

The interview had a tense feel.

Barb looked very nice, I like that top. It is a good color on her.

  13. rainlillie Says:

“Wow. I loved how Shirley handled herself.”

    I agree Stacee,
Why must a woman in her 30’s act like a child, who needs reassurance from a parent. She’s married with two children…Grow up already! It may be endearing to some, but I find it insulting and annoying as hell.

  14. Asha Says:

Even though Shirley “wrote” the book, she is a celebrity and it’s not to big of an assumption that Shirley had a ghost writer or an assistant who wrote the book for her. So it could be a possibly that she did forget what Elizabeth was talking about.

That being said, that was an ambush question for Elizabeth to ask. Drinking urine is totally out there, so maybe Shirley played dumb about the Radionics. None of the host’s were particularly warm to Shirley. But I also think alot of what Shirley said was out there.

  15. Jon Says:

I would of done the same thing that EH did. You would think that Shirley would of known what was in her book. DUh! EH was just asking questions about her book like any interviewer would have. I think shirly needed to revisit what she wrote before going on national television. I like that EH proved her wrong and knew what she was talking about. GO EH!

  16. rainlillie Says:

Has DR. Phil ever been on the View? We could use him here to deal with some of the multiply personalities.

  17. Lisa Too Says:

I was surprised at how snotty Shirley was to EH. Even if she didn’t know what she wrote in her own book, she didn’t need to say that she had NO IDEA what EH was talking about. That was childish and unbelievable. Then she was so grateful to Whoppi for changing the topic. Jeeesh! EH was right in pointing out the facts to Shirley (from her own book.)

  18. B.Craft Says:

I have been a Radionic researcher for over 40 Years. It was nice to see Shirley MacLaine
Use the word Radionics on USA TV as the US government AMA and FDA has done all they could to make sure the US citizen would not know about radionics and how radionics can help there health. For true information on radionics go to http://www.copenlabs.co.uk

  19. Bob Says:

I have to disagree with a lot of you. The trying to prove herself was silly, but Shirley was rude to Elisabeth first. Instead of asking what she was talking about she just said “I don’t know what you’re talking about” and then turned away.

  20. June Says:

Ok off topic- although I do agree there was definatly a rudness to Barbara’s reception of Shirley.

Joy said for I think the 3rd time that I’ve heard it. “Why don’t we see the body bags coming back from Iraq?” and then said something about the Bush administrations blocking that from the media. I got pretty ticked and wrote the show the following:

First I quoted what she said, then I said the following:

“I don’t know what nightly news Joy is watching but I see each perosn from our state who dies in the war, on the news. They show a picture, interview the family, and give a description of how they died during service. Also, living near Dover Air Force Base, they fequently show the coffins being unloaded off the planes.

I invite Joy to join middle America in celebrating our heros. Which has nothing to do with the Bush administration. If the Bush adminstration had such influence on the media, 3 major liberal networks would not have sent their anchors to cover Obamas visit to the middle east.”

Thats pretty close to what I wrote and exactly how I feel!

  21. rainlillie Says:

Wow! What channel do you watch? Please post the station. I’ve haven’t seen one coffin from this war returning home. The media also covered McCain’s trip overseas. It isn’t Obama’s fault that people have more enthusiasm and interest in him than McCain. I doubt Hagel will have to whisper in Obama’s ear about who the enemy is in Iraq.

To call the media liberal is pure BS! If the media were so liberal people would have known as I did from day one that Bush and his corrupt administration lied us into this war. Joy supports the troops by wanting them out of harms way!

  22. Stacee Says:

Yeah, I think the “liberal media” cry is a BS too. It’s the corporate media. They are out for themselves and their self interest.
Yes, Obama is attracting attention. Why? Because there is an interest in him! He speaks better, draws larger crowds, raises a lot of money and has more enthusiasm from his supporters on his side. Also, the RNC and McCain camp made a HUGE issue of him not going to Iraq and Afghanistan and built up this sort of expectation. So now that he does go, they complain.

Funny, McCain holds BBQs and gets donuts from the press. He called them “his base” and enjoyes a cozy affair with them for a long time. NOW he and his supporters want to complain about the “liberal media”

McCain went and did have press coverage on his trip. He had multiple interviews and a CNN press conference. The coverage was different because if you recall, when he went the Democrats were still locked in a nomination battle! Remember Wright gate, Sniper gate, bitter gate, elite gate, and all the other gaffes, debates and fights? The press coverage during the Dem campaign was contentous, and HUGE.

The shows I watch pick apart any and everything Obama says and does. I would like to see McCain should get the same scrutiny Obama has. Maybe then people will pay attention to his many mistakes and he stops getting all these free passes.

  23. Beverly Says:

Hi All - I love Shirley MacLaine and I could just envision her (before the clips were posted) making that comment to EH all “Steel Magnolias” & “Terms of Endearment”-like.

One explanation for her spotty memory could be that as Winnie’s recap mentioned (thanks Winnie), her book is now in paperback. Seems to me that there is a time-lapse between HC & PB, right? Or, maybe she was having a Sr. Moment. Personally, I think that she just saw through to EH’s insincere sensationalism. It’s not like EH honestly wanted to know for her own benefit.

#9 Josie - That was funny!

    #11 Yellow4Ro - Guess we’ll know for sure when they air the “slumber-party pillow-fight”!

#18 B.Craft - Thanks for the link. I imagine that you do have a tough time bringing Radionics to Westerners. It’s very interesting and the results are compelling — I plan to read more about it, but I confess, for now, just to keep an open mind.

  24. Sandy Woodward Says:

My fav Shirley McClaine movie was “Guarding Tess”.

  25. rainlillie Says:

What’s with the knee rub? Sherri, next time give her a juice box and some Cheerios from a plastic baggie.

Great points Stacee. I had forgotten that McCain took his trip during the primary.

  26. Sandy Woodward Says:

June, perhaps you did not know that the Pentagon banned imagies of homecoming coffins. If your local station in Delaware is airing footage of the fallen heros homecomings, please let me know the station id perhaps they have a website.

Here is an article you might want to read:

Pentagon censors images of US soldiers’ coffins returning from Iraq

    http://www.wsws.org/articles/2004/apr2004/coff-a24.shtml

A photo of a dead soldier when he was alive shown on the evening news is not what Joy is referring too

    4,124 American Casualities in Iraq
I keep a running total outside on my window sill on a solar powered number sign.

  27. misslingdow Says:

I just watched the clips and a couple of things, did Sherry have some “work” done? Her mouth looked odd to me. In any event she looked diferent. I agree what was with the knee rub? How bizarre I loved the remark about the juice and cherrios– Rain you are hilarious!!

BW did look put off as well as the invited guest Shirley.

Finally, EH could her skirt have been hiked any higher? Good grief, maybe Sherry was trying to provide some skin coverage!?

  28. misslingdow Says:

Also– Sandy Woodward– I admire you for keeping the number a reality

  29. Stacee Says:

Hi Sandy W! I think I missed some drama last night. Were the trolls out or something?

misslingdow, I don’t tink Sherri has had work done. Or at least not that I noticed.

  30. Sandy Woodward Says:

Only a tiny little one Stacee.

Thanks misslingdow. I looked at an old clip on YouTube I don’t think she has had work done. But she doesn’t smile as much as she used to and she has lost weight.

  31. Sandy Woodward Says:

Am watching Joy Behar doing an excellent job hosting the Larry King show.

  32. shelley Says:

How long before EH has a little “work” done? I say 5 years.
    Anyone else?

  33. Lopez Says:

As the resident psychic psychiatrist, I say you’re right. That’s about the time when she’ll have to look for another husband. Since the one she has now will tear apart their marriage by having an affair.

  34. Sandy Woodward Says:

    Ugh

Joy on Larry King live played the N-Word clip and both Whoopi called in to say she did not speak for all black people. Then EH called in to take a swipe at Fran Drescher over suggesting her tears were manipulative and perhaps she was used to pulling a crying jag to get way with hubby.

  35. Kelly Says:

Well, the call-ins to Joy should make tomorrow more interesting. “We all love each other and that is why we feel so comfortable verbally slaughtering one another. Kiss Kiss.”

Beverly - spot-on! Loved your comments.

  36. Sky Says:

Shirley was the guest and EH was bloody rude to her. She really came off like an amatuer and someone who is half her age. Her antics were all caught on camera, the hands in the air, the comments about looking it up in her book and her stupid determination to be right above all else. Who cares! Personally I think it took away from the interview.

BW is arrogant and often rude to guests as well. I don’t know how many times she’s cut them off in the middle of a conversation to ask them to plug whatever it is they were on to do or there wouldn’t be time. Surely she could master a better way to get from A to B. If not, it’s time she gave up live TV.

As for Sherry, I am still not impressed by her at all.

This show really needed Rosie and without her it is hardly bearable in the opening segments. I only tune in for the guest spots and even those they tend to ruin.

  37. Stacee Says:

Sky, well said and I agree with everything you said.

“As for Sherry, I am still not impressed by her at all.”

I’m not either. Half the time she either looks like she has no idea how she got there nor what she’s supposed to be doing there.
The other half of the time is spent with her looking bug eyes and sometimes personifying some stereotype. IMO

Yes, sometimes she is endearing and I’d rather spend a year with her than and hour with the other cohost. Still, to me, her shtick is played out and I think she was a horrible choice for a cohost.

  38. SarahS Says:

For Shirley fans, check out her 1971 appearance on the Dick Cavett Show. She is covered with George McGovern buttons because she was told by the network she couldn’t mention his name (she had taken a sabbatical from acting to campaign for him), so that was her way around the network’s rule.
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Va6cyHORcgw

  39. Jen Says:

I was confused by the interaction between BW and SM right from the beginning. It seemed tense right away. Did anyone else see SM grab WG’s butt when she hugged her? I got the feeling BW didn’t like that.

As for SM, she is by far one of the best actresses I’ve ever seen. She plays her roles as if her characters are so unaffected by what other people think of her. (In Her Shoes, Terms of Endearment, Steel Magnolias.) It would seem like that is who she is in real life, and therefore is above reporters looking for sensationalism.

That being said, a lot of the stuff she is into is really out there. Still, as a guest on the show, she did deserve to be treated with respect. EH acted like a baby both today and the other day when she wanted to be heard on her position on the N word.

It is not fair to cry to force people to listen to you.

  40. Mark Says:

I watched it live–which is so odd because I don’t catch The View with any regularity. Shirley was a guest star–there to promote her book going to paper back and her new movie about Coco Chanel…and then, she–like someone else has mentioned–is sort of ambushed by Elisabeth, intimating that Shirley drinks dog urine and hair every day…on national television. And, as someone else mentioned, Elisabeth wasn’t asking the question for any personal benefit, but for no other reason than exploitation because it’s a weird concept. And, it served its purpose because, upon hearing it, it sounded weird and untrue. In fact, when the question was asked, it was totally out of left field and didn’t fit the flow of the interview at all. If I was an Oscar winner on a show to promote my movie and book and got hit with a question like that, I don’t know how I’d react, so I sort of admire Shirley’s restraint. Elisabeth should have let it go–in fact, she should be let go. I think a lot of the “tension” that everyone was tapping into had to do with the fact that Shirley was being bombarded about her spiritual beliefs, and was kind enough to explain them in depth because they’re obviously important to her, but, she could tell that she was sort of turning into a side show–Whoopi felt it, too, because she tried to stear it more towards her upcoming movie. I, too, wish Kathy Griffin had been on there…that would have been a “hug from Jesus.”

Why not ask osama bin laden how he feels about that evil bush. I’m sure he would agree with you.

  42. Yellow4Ro Says:

    SarahS - #38

Thanks for the youtube link to the Dick Cavett-Shirley MacLaine interview. If you continue watching the other parts of that show John Lennon and Yoko Ono appear as the next guests. On YouTube search John Lennon (5/7) Dick Cavett Show Part 3, to see John and Yoko perform a song that ironically had the “N” word in it. As Ro would say - Springle! lol ;-)

  43. rainlillie Says:

    SarahS,

Thanks for the link. My mom loved the Dick Cavett Show, I’m going to send her this link.

  44. rainlillie Says:

    Thanks misslingdow,
They sure give us enough to laugh at.

  45. Desertfem Says:

I don’t know if most of you just saw the clip; I saw the whole show. Shirley was talking about something interesting, was in midsentence, and EH interrupted her to (to me) clearly bait her with the radionics question. It was clear EH had no clue what it was. Shirley tried to describe then, and later, about the homeopathic aspect of it and EH didn’t want to hear it, just cause more trouble.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about” referred to Shirley trying to grasp which part of the book EH was trying to discuss. Clearly she wasn’t trying to discuss (since she doesn’t have a brain) and that’s when SM smacked her down, which IMHO a 74 yo woman of her stature has every right to do - I loved that, there should be more of it!

  46. Stacee Says:

    Thanks for the clarification, DesertFem.

  47. christina Says:

Shireley maclain was being snippy and stuck up. I think she was her own worst enemy if her potions make you as angry and bitter as her it obviously doesn’t work.
Joy behar is white trash who somehow managed to get on t.v. and be a comedian meanwhile not being funny at all. I’m glad Sherri and elizabeth are on there to voice the opinions of other people and not just liberals.

  48. June Says:

    http://www.wboc.com/

My local tv station. BTW- the only time NBC, ABC and CBS send there top anghor overseas is when a current President travels. They are treating this like a President’s visit- sorry kids he hasn’t won yet. I figured I would be unpopular here, the way you slam EH! LOL Just for the record- I’m not a fan of hers.

  49. Stacee Says:

Christina calling Joy “white trash”. Gosh, Christina must be JEALOUS and just hates Joy because she is a democrat and has opposing views!

  50. Stacee Says:

Mark, thank you for offering your perspective on what happened.

  51. Kay Says:

Do you honestly think EH created that question??? As she stated “it’s on the card”. We’ve all seen how the view is produced. I thought the question was very clear and SM’s response was odd. However, SM was not being treated very graciously by BW from the beginning. When SM greeted EH, she asked EH who she was…and then later responded to her question as seen. SM is a seasoned star, having dealt w/all types of people and I have no doubt if she wanted to one up EH based on her opinion of her, she could and did easily do it. Look at the press…it’s about how EH behaved badly, when actually it was SM who behaved stand-offish and then had no problem elaborating when EH pulled out the book. Brilliant on SM’s part! Bottom line on EH…she is out of her league. She does not have the skill set for this type of employment. I think she gets walked on as much as she walks on others. I’m sure she’s multi-talented, however media commentary….not so much. btw, SM was on the 4th hr of Today show and was a delight.

  52. Stacee Says:

Kay, that’s what I read; that on the Today show she was joking and laughing with the hosts.

  53. christina Says:

I don’t know what everyones morbid fascination is with seeing coffins with dead soldiers in it. There are several shows that have payed respect to the soldiers by showing picture and a brief desciption Nancy Grace is one of themm she does it every night. What difference does it make if there in a coffin and you can’t even see who it was that died.
Exactly who on there is so much more experienced then EH non of them are professional journalistor t.v. host. Whoopi is an actress and Joy is a bad comedian Barbra is the only one who is experienced. That is the whole idea of the show regular people with opinions that we can ALL relate to not just democrats .

If you didn’t see shirley maclain being rude right from the beginning you are crazy and she did not say I don’t know what your talking about nicely she was trying to take a jab a elizabeth and embarrass just like other celebrities have done on the show. If you perception is that clouded you couldn’t see that you couldn’t see that you really need to have a more open mind about things.

  54. Desertfem Says:

Yes, EH definitely does not have the skill set for TV host; she was on Survivor, that’s all. I’m sure she was picked for ratings, since The View was going downhill before all the controversy with Rosie. But one doesn’t have to be a trained journalist to decide not to be rude.

And, once again, SM was right in the middle of talking, midsentence, when EH rudely interrupted her to read off her idiot card and ask that question, interrupting the flow of the segment. A young woman doing that to a 74 yr. old icon? Give me a break about which one was rude.

    I miss Lisa Ling!!!

  55. christina Says:

People are people not icons. Actresses deserve no more respect then anyone else. Elizabeth is not rude in any way I don’t know what your watching.

  56. Kay Says:

It seems like in order to get a word in or to fulfill what they’ve been told to say, they interrupt eachother and in turn their own guests. Unfortunate all around. That aside, I still can’t figure out why the big news stations keep tabs on the view and practically make them part of the nightly news. They don’t keep track of tyra or whatever other talkshows exist. So odd.

  57. Aileeny Says:

EH Has no skill set.. she was a rabbit spewing crap when she should of listened then heard.. Ok Shirley is an old woman.. like my mother.. she forgets stuff.. then u remind.. its comes back.. but Eh took her on like BO or Vannity.. sheesh.. this woman is an icon who grew old and maybe just forgets.. I didnt see any shmack downs.. just one womans obsession with reminding the older one what she wrote.. Poor Shirley was a victim of her own age.. god knows we love her.. but treat her gently..

    I’m just saying….

  58. christina Says:

A snappy old women don’t get snappy with someone if you don’t want them to say anything back. Just a thought

  59. Mark Says:

Ligtning never strikes the same place twice and you can never unring a bell…The View will never, and can’t ever, get the same sort of “live television” that they had when Rosie and Elisabeth had their now infamous smack down…but, you can’t blame them all for trying. The whole issue of “it’s on the card” and “who wrote the card” is irrelevant when it comes to the bottom line…ratings and youtube hits. EVERYONE wants to hear about the “oh, snap” moment from live television, hate they missed it, and rush off to youtube in the hopes that someone posted it…example, the long forgotten Elisabeth Hasselbeck vs. Sandra Bernhardt moment–back when Starr hadn’t left yet and before the feud to end all feuds was happening on a regular basis. Lets face it, interviews have always been odd on the show–or else Kathy Griffin wouldn’t continue to get laughs from her experience with the show during her routines. Babs always tries to throw in love life when politics is getting too heated with a guest (always an awkward moment that sometimes leads to an even more awkward, impromtu commercial break) and everyone seems unprepared for each segment. Elisabeth has dilusions of importance, and given that most of the original cast has dropped like flies, a false sense of seniority that comes with tenure…or in her case, lasting longer than others. Her temper tantrum calling of Larry King Live when Joy was hosting the other evening is evidence of that. Trust me, if she were any kind of a right wing voice, Fox would have scooped her up by now with her own permanent, low rated talk show. If you watch most cable news shows, those anchors swap off more than Morman Cults.

  60. Beverly Says:

Hi All - I know that we’re past this conversation but I just had to add this snippet (from Winnie’s 4/21 recap). I discovered it while looking for Cindy McCain’s quote that her husband would definitely NOT go “negative.” (I knew when she said it that it was her wishful thinking or yet another “political promise” haha.)

Anyway - I sure wish WG would have said what she said to EH on 4/21 (interview with Chelsea on her book):

“Elisabeth asked her about what she said about redheaded men in her book. Chelsea said that dating a redheaded man is not a good thing, because when you wake up and look over at him, it looks like he has a clown in a leg lock. She added that redheaded men do not have good role models, Carrot Top being the only one she can think of. *** Whoopi asked Elisabeth why she asked her that question, knowing what the answer would be.***”

I think this comment is telling of EH’s role in these interviews — it’s exactly what she did to Shirley MacLaine.

[I didn't find Cindy Mc's quote - maybe it was on a different program.]

  61. Beverly Says:

That’s Chelsea of “Chelsea Lately” (blond comedienne) (she’s really funny and a really bad girl!)

  62. MiamiVision Says:

That’s superlady Chelsea Handler - love her show!!

  63. carmen Says:

This won’t make it past the censors, I’m sure. But I’ll give it a final shot.

Hell, I’ve posted under hundreds of names. What diff does it make? A comment is a comment. After long work days at a shit-boring job it is fun to spend a few online and cook up a screen name to take a pot shot at EH, or some lame-ass comment, or some commenter who is not being real. I miss the old days on this board, where you could just come on, pop off a line or two, and breeze away. If some people want to warm and fuzzy it up here, bare their souls, tell all, that’s cool. But why does everyone else have to? And live by your rules of which posters you think are funny, honest, trolls, etc. Someone said we should “play nice.” I don’t like being told that. I’m not a toddler. I don’t like the sand box Mommy patrols that have roosted here these days. I don’t like being told to stop criticizing EH’s hub’s or kids’ looks. This board has changed to a touchy feelly bare your soul and spill your guts and “let’s get to know each other!” vibe. Cool for those who suited up for that purpose. But, to quote my favorite musicall, “that ain’t me, kid … that’ me.” Adios, kids.

    quote should have been
“that ain’t me, kid … that ain’t me.”
