This week, and the rest of August, The View is on hiatus. Here is the schedule for this week, as well as links to the recaps for those episodes where available. OAD means “original air date.”

MONDAY August 4 (OAD: 3/28/08) – Democratic presidential candidate Senator Barack Obama (D-ILL.); Recap of original episode is here.

TUESDAY, August 5 (OAD: 4/10/08) – Republican presidential candidate Senator John McCain (R-AZ). Video of his appearance is here.

WEDNESDAY, August 6 (OAD: 5/6/08) – Jo Frost (ABC’s “Super Nanny”). The recap of this episode is here.

THURSDAY, August 7 (OAD: 7/18/08) – Meryl Streep and Amanda Seyfried (“Mamma Mia!”). The recap of this episode is here.

FRIDAY, August 8 (OAD: 7/15/08) – Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman (“The Dark Knight”). The recap of this episode can be found here.
