The View February 28th Recap: Donny Osmond and Nate Berkus
The first topic on The View was the death of William F. Buckley. Elisabeth Hasselbeck had an affinity for him because he gave conservatives a forum and did it with such wit. She liked that he gained respect from people who disagreed with him politically. She said that we are indebted to him for the conversation that he created. Joy Behar joked that you needed a dictionary to follow a conversation with him. Whoopi Goldberg liked him and thought he was the strangest person she ever met. Joy said that he was against the war in Iraq and was for the legalization of marijuana. She said that Bill Cunningham, who claims to be a conservative, cannot shine the shoes of William F. Buckley. Elisabeth said that people highlight the extremes of the party, like Cunningham or Michael Moore on the liberal side.
Michael Bloomberg has announced that he will not run for president. Whoopi said that she likes him because his passion is to work for the betterment of the city of New York City. He could end up as Barack Obama’s running mate. Joy asked if a Black man and Jewish man a ticket would be successful. Elisabeth said that people are talking about how much more important the running mate would be because of the potential of harm coming to Barack Obama and how he will probably need extra security. Whoopi said that everyone is susceptible to people who disagree with them. One of campaign headquarters of Obama was vandalized and a racial slur was written.
Joy thinks that McCain is a stand-up guy and is glad that he distanced himself from Cunningham’s comments. Cunningham called McCain “Juan Pablo McCain” and said that McCain threw him under the bus. Whoopi wants Cunningham to come on the show and not be “slithery” and come out and say whether he thinks that Obama is connected to subversive people.
Tonight on QVC tonight at 7pm eastern time will be the debut of Whoopi’s bedding line.
Do you do things out of obligation or because you want to? Elisabeth said that being a mom, there are a lot of “have to” do things. Joy said that as she gets older, she does less and less out of obligation and more stuff that she wants to do. Sherri said that sometimes people ask her to go to lunch and she says yes, even if she doesn’t want to. Joy said she doesn’t want people to lie to her if they don’t want to do something. Whoopi said that she won’t do things she doesn’t want to. Elisabeth said that she hates to disappoint people and needs to find her “no.” Whoopi said it is because she is worried about people liking her and trying to please them.
Sherri said that people come up to her and say that they want to be an actor or a comic and she just looks at them and knows that they should be finding a regular job, because it just won’t work out. Whoopi said that if you don’t tell them, then people will think they are funny and get out there and get embarrassed. Joy said that she would rather let them have their delusion. She said that people didn’t think that she could make it as a stand-up comic, but didn’t tell her at the time. Whoopi said that there is a difference being an actor and a movie star. Joy said that there are few people that are both, except maybe Robert Redford and Brad Pitt. She then struggled to think of others. Elisabeth said we have one right here, meaning Whoopi. Meanwhile, Whoopi was looking around and under the table.
Donny Osmond was on the show to promote College Road Trip, which co-stars Martin Lawrence. He said that even he wanted to punch his character in the face, calling him the “most annoying person.” He calls the character “White Bread” because he is so squeaky clean. They also showed part of the video he made with Raven Simone for one of the songs from the movie where Donny does a little hip-hop dancing.
Sherri said that she is so in love with Donny and gave him a big hug. She said that she still remembers him on Tiger Beat. Whoopi told Donny that she has gotten like this with other guests, too. Sherri said not like this because “It is Donny Osmond!!!” Donny said if ever gets depressed, he will have to come back on the show.
Joy said that until recently he was the most famous Mormon in America. Donny said that he likes Mitt Romney and thinks that he could have made a great president. He thinks that Romney backed off so that he can prepare to be in the 2012 election. Donny really likes Barack Obama and thinks he could be a great president. He doesn’t like to get involved in politics, but likes Barack’s idea of change. He thinks that the country is ready for a Black president.
They asked him about his sister Marie being on Dancing with the Stars and whether he would be on it. Donny joked “we all know I am a better dancer than Marie.” He admitted that he was approached by the show, but said “no.” He may do it next season, but he was too busy this year. The whole family is going on tour. He and Marie are also getting back together and are going to do a show in Las Vegas.
Donny just had a new granddaughter born and said that after the interview he is heading off to see her.
The had another edition of the segment of “Whoopi’s Must Haves.” The items she talked about:
* Mr. Clean Magic Eraser
* Chocolate Bar Teas
* Ab Rocket
* Whoopi’s G. Beds bedding (what she will be selling on QVC)
* Homedics dreamshield pillow: you should change your pillow every two years due to dust mite droppings (ew.)
* Subway: Jared came out onto the stage. He is celebrating 10 years of losing 245 pounds.
Nate Berkus was on the show to promote Oprah’s Big Give. He got discovered when he had an art gallery in Chicago and the producer of The Oprah Winfrey show at the time came in. The woman was related to friends of her grandparents.
Elisabeth said that the new show is so good and it had her bawling on the couch. Nate said it is the first show that is about what you can give rather than what you can get. The goal is to inspiring people to get off the couch and help their communities. He is the host of the show and it was different for him because he is a designer. The premise is that ordinary people are dropped in different places and have to find a way to “give big” to the community. It is more than just handing out cash. They have to come up with creative ways to give that will help the community the most.
The View, Whoopi Goldberg, Donny Osmond, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, Joy Behar, Sherri Shepherd, Marie Osmond, Nate Berkus, Oprah Winfrey, College Road Trip, QVC, Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, Oprah’s Big Give, Dancing with the Stars, John McCain, Bill Cunningham, Mitt Romney

I did get to watch the show today, and really enjoyed it.
I share Elisabeth’s opinion of WFB.
I also have to agree with her that the extreme personalities or persons, in the political parties are highlighted the most. It’s a shame i think because they don’t represent the opinions of the majority of their party. IMO.
I agree with Joy, in that I am glad that McCain distanced himself from Cunningham.
I also do not believe that Cunningham honestly believes that Barak is connected to subversive people. In my opinion it is to plant a doubt in the minds of the uninformed, and probably more so for ratings. Sadly there are people who enjoy this sort of stuff.
I think that we all do things out of obligation, at least once in awhile. I know I do.
I enjoyed the Donny Osmond interview. i know he’s been seen a lot lately, but it was a funny interview.
I love the magic eraser, it really does work well. The Ab Rocker looked inviting. I could use one.
Congrats to Jarad!!!
Oprah’s Big Give sounds great & interesting. I’m sure I’ll watch it, it is my kind of program. along with my kind of premise.

MCcain lied and said he never met Cunningham. http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/M/MCCAIN_TALK_RADIO_HOST_OHOL-?SITE=AP&SECTION=HOME&TEMPLATE=DEFAULT
Why didn’t EH distancing herself from the fox when they said Rosie called American troops terrorist???
February 28th, 2008 at 2:56 pm
Hi!! What was the flavor of the tea whoopie was talking of her must haves, are they only in New York. and does come in bags? I like your show watch everyday!!!! Thank You, Sharon Kay

I read the article above. I’m the type of person who usually doesn’t jump to conclusions.
It seems to imply that “Cunningham” says he met McCain before on 2 occasions. He may be telling the truth,.,.or not… Perhaps McCain didn’t remember meeting him, when he made the statement that he hadn’t.
He’s a politician who attends many events, fund raisers, meetings, and so fourth. Perhaps the meeting met more to Cunningham than it did McCain. Who knows? This article doesn’t prove that McCain lied, at least not to me. I don’t remember every single person I’ve met in my lifetime.
The important thin “to me” is that he did denounce this kind of behavior, as he should have IMO.

“Arizona Sen. John McCain refused to apologize yesterday for his use of a racial slur to condemn the North Vietnamese prison guards who tortured and held him captive during the war.
“I hate the gooks,” McCain said yesterday in response to a question from reporters aboard his campaign bus. “I will hate them as long as I live.” http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2000/02/18/MN32194.DTL
February 28th, 2008 at 4:59 pm
I agree he should not use that term. Not only someone running for the office of President, but no one should.
The article makes it clear that he is and was referring to his prison guards in Viet Nam. I wonder what I would call someone who tortured me and I had to watch while they tortured my friends. Knowing me, I’d probably have a string of not so nice words.
I also want to make it clear that I am against torture of any kind, by anyone.
February 28th, 2008 at 5:59 pm
“Knowing me, I’d probably have a string of not so nice words.”
Will any of the words be disparaging towards someone’s ethnicity?
February 29th, 2008 at 3:07 am
Heya peeps, back at home and exhausted, Okies my 2 cents..
I am so sorry I missed Donnie, I am HUGE fan of the Osmonds. They just make me smile from all the goodness they exude.
Sandy - the magic eraser is a homes best friend. I just always wonder how it cleans without removing paint.
I myself used to do EVERYTHING out of obligation and I think Whoops is partially right, you do it sometimes out of not wanted to be disliked, but I think I did it out of just needing to help peeps all the time.
Now, I just do what I can and dont over extend myself anymore. I am just to tired and would rather sit in my chair and catch up on my shows that I missed all week. Gotta love DVR.
I dont agree that Mccain should get away with using the slur, if I was tortured by black men, and I said I hate the “N” peeps, would that be acceptable? Or if they were Jewish, Puertorican, etc and the slur words to go with them. I dont think he would of been able to get away with it at all. Now if they were Irish and he called them “Mics” I think I could handle that..
I do eat alot of potatoes. But in truth, racial slurs should never be used and I think Mccain is getting away with alot because he is a war vet who was captured and tortured. That doesnt excuse his ignorant behavior. It seems he gets a bye on every turn.
I’m just saying……..
February 29th, 2008 at 6:15 am
I don’t know how EH is going to be able to defend McNasty for the coming cycle. This is a man who also cruelly told a joke about why a President’s daughter was so ugly. Using the First Lady and the Attorney General as the reason. What kind of moral upstanding man does that? To overlook all of his transgressions because he was a war hero does not wash for me.
Bit’s current guy has tanked us in the world and this guy is a ticking time bomb in his daily dailogue. He didn’t apologize when Hlllary was called a bitch and it appears we are seeing a continuation of this kind of rhetoric. He needs to be proactive in shutting it down, not meekly apologizing after the horse is out of the barn.
I like Donny and was surprised at his political leaning. Woo Hoo I still love ya!
As for my love of the magic eraser, we just had a date yesterday:) He still works his magic on me:)
February 29th, 2008 at 6:32 am
Hi All.
Sandy: “I wonder what I would call someone who tortured me and I had to watch while they tortured my friends.”
I understand your empathy but when I read your post, my 1st thought was: “Uh, the US of A!” (I’m not picking on you)
I was relieved to see that the article regarding the racial slur was from 2000. I’m hoping that he has (at least) gotten some therapy. Considering the diverse pop. we have in the US & that the Pres. is supposed to represent EVERYONE, McCain’s hatred should be a concern. It’s so hypocritical. Knowing what he knows … WHY would he support creating GENERATIONS of people who will share his utter hatred — of the US?? Here he’s an educated, man of the world and he himself cannot (will not) forgive (assuming he feels the same as in 2000). His “torturers” were just following their orders — but then, we call them Hero when it’s our orders being followed.
Re: magic erasers … love ‘em but they will damage wallpaper (found out the hard way).
February 29th, 2008 at 6:41 am
Dee - from Winnie’s recap … Donnie’s comment about Romney being a good president was in the context of being Mormon, wasn’t it? I got the impression that he’s leaning toward Obama (”… the country is ready for a black president” — in my mind, the his unspoken opinion was that the country isn’t ready for a woman.). I didn’t see the show, so I could be jumping to a conclusion. Or, is that the political leaning that surprised you?
February 29th, 2008 at 9:51 am
Donny said that he thought Romney would be a good president and thought he backed off to prepare for 2012. Then he went into the dialog about this country looking for a change and he liked Obama. It surprised me, so much for assumptions!
I wish Rosie was the host, I didn’t like WG’s smackdown of SS and her love for Donnie. It is the unscripted joy that SS shows that I love…Rosie used to be that way too.
Back to Donnie’s comment…I wonder if McNasty is the Bob Dole candidate this year.
They will lose and then slash and burn a Democrat president for the next four years as he/she try to undo the damage of the last eight. Then Romney will step in and be the Republican candidate to try and take back the office. Stay tuned…the audience has to be prepared to listen to the next four years of sniping from Bits if Obama/Hil does win the office.

I worry this is true, too, Dee. Let’s be prepared, too, for “Bits” and her mentors on the right to act like all the negative things about the new president (what a nice ring that has to it!) will be THE SAME as the horrors that Bush has inflicted on the world. We’ve seen that already when Bits and others have whined about the Clinton years, as if all the bad things they did were no different from Bush’s dangerous, reckless foreign policyi and other crimes. I’m not one to whitewash the Clinton presidency, but I sure as heck don’t think Whitewater, Mark Rich’s pardon, and getting favors from an intern are the same as what Bush has done to our country. Not even close.
Will Joy and Whoopi speak up, really speak up, though? I wonder… We need their voices, even if it is on a fluffly ladies’ talk show.

Beverly -
His “torturers” were just following their orders — but then, we call them Hero when it’s our orders being followed.
Excellent point! I believe this was the point Rosie was trying to get across on the show and you explained it better.
Bravo!!!
P.S. Thanks for the tip on the eraser and wallpaper!

# 8 Annon,
Will any of the words be disparaging towards someone ethnicity?
I sure hope I would “not”.
I doubt that I will ever have to go through something like that,..so I’ll never know. Someone.. Bev up above talked about McCain forgiving his torturers. I wish he could and would, if he hasn’t. I think he would feel better with himself.
And I liked Bev’s comment, it makes you think. Me anyways.

Re: #18 and #19:
Okay, so someone’s gotta tell me why a former poster to this blog was given such a hard time over using the initials TLB for EH, and yet now, everyone is quiet over others using the nickname “Bits.” What gives?
March 2nd, 2008 at 7:23 pm
I know I have seen Elisabeth referred to as Bitsy over on the twop.com “Admit it-You Can’t Stand the View” forum, so I am familiar with the use of Bitsy for EH, so I didn’t even notice the use here. But I can see where it would be confusing.
The “TLB” was a whole other story, since usually acronyms are commonly known to the target audience, or are useless. So I for one, and apparently many others based on how many times it came up, would try to figure out was TLB meant, and find out that former poster just made it up.
March 2nd, 2008 at 8:31 pm
I don’t think that many people had a problem with it. Some people inquired what it meant.
A while back there was a few who took offence to that term. However one in particular is no longer able to comment here.
As for myself, I never had a problem with it. It didn’t bother me, as does Bits
March 3rd, 2008 at 8:20 pm
Shelby, Sandy, and everyone who remembers “The Ballad of TLB” — re: #18, 19, 22, 23, 24:
If someone hasn’t read twop.com, how on earth could they know that “Bits” refers to EH? That site is unrelated to this one and thank goodness Winnie has not made it required reading before you post here. Take a look at their Nurse Ratchet list of rules about what nicknames will and will not be allowed, what you can and cannot say, how far you may or may not stray from the topic. Actually you can’t even really talk about the topics or your opinions about the topics. You can “only talk about the show.” No coloring outside of the lines! It’s enough to make you really happy to be HERE instead. (Thanks, Winnie! That’s another reason why you deserved to win that contest.)
Anyway, “Bits” is something someone over there “just made up, ” so that makes it no different from anything on this site that a poster “just makes up” to call the ladies on the panel. How does initials or an acronym like TLB make it any different from a nickname like “Bits”?
And what’s wrong with “making something up,” anyway? Can’t we have a little fun? Take a little creative license? Color outside the lines? We’re talking 3 little letters, not a post filled with incoherent ramblings or cryptic instant message shorthand or jargon that impedes the discussion. If someone can’t figure out what a nick name, nick initials, or nick acronym means, they can ask, and that’s that. (See #18 & #19 for a sample script.) And let’s not forget that initials and acronyms and words come up from time to time about all kinds of things, not just as repeated stand-ins for the View ladies’ names, that someone won’t know. (See louisefromalabama’s inquiry on another thread.) Do we rise up and complain about those too? Do we plain-vanilla our postings and use only the most generic words so that no one is annoyed by people writing in to ask “hey what does that mean?”?
Too bad it couldn’t have remained at what Sandy said, mere “inquiries.” As I remember it, it was a few, not “many,” people who just kept carping (some gently, some not so gently) at the former poster for using those initials because they were merely exasperated and tired of having to read a posting where someone new would ask what it meant or who it referred to. (I guess they didn’t want to just scroll through the repeated inquiries? Too much trouble?)
I don’t recall offense at what the initials actually stood for being the basis for the complaints, Sandy. (I think you must be confusing this with the infamous use of “media whore” by another poster to describe EH. And the person you mentioned who “is no longer able to post here” didn’t have anything to do with the TLB tempest in a teapot. She disabled herself all by herself from posting here by her inflammatory attacks, without any help from nicknames or initials.
It’s nice to hear that you aren’t bothered by the nick names and acronyms, Sandy. I hope you spoke up and said so at the time? Because I remember it was kinda chilly being pretty much the lone ranger to do so.
I hope that in hindsight most people here have come to realize it isn’t worth alienating a poster (especially a long standing one who contributed so much to the discussions here!) over something so silly like a made-up name (or, excuse me, intitials or an acronym), ESPECIALLY if you aren’t going to bat an eye when another cryptic nickname is used later by other posters.
What I still don’t get is:
why “Bits”? Can anyone explain? Does it refer to what TLB brings to the discussions?
March 4th, 2008 at 7:14 am
Bits=short for Bitsy.
“I hope that in hindsight most people here have come to realize it isn’t worth alienating a poster”
Unfortunately, flamers and trolls are part of the wonderful world of web forums.
I got blasted here last week for writing a fairly long post. The poster could have just skipped it, STFU and moved on to the next comment. I’m strong believer in that if you ain’t got anything nice to say, then just STFU, but obviously, some folks just feel like they have to voice their opinion, no matter how irrelevant and off-topic it may be.
We just have to live with it, I guess.
Personally, I thought that TLB stood for “The Little Bitch”. Which made absolute sense to me, LOL!
Just learn to live with it, Sybil, because it ain’t gonna change, unfortunately. That’s the thing with the WWW: you get the best, the worst, and everything in between.
March 4th, 2008 at 8:44 am
There are other sites that use Bitsy and Bits when discussing EH. One that comes to mind immediately is Crown Princess Marie Chantal messageboard which has both a television thread and a celeb thread which has discussed Star, BW and Bitsy to a great degree.
March 4th, 2008 at 9:05 am
I know “Bitsy” is a name for EH, but what does it mean?
March 4th, 2008 at 9:34 am
Actually, I’ve seen that nickname for her for ages, and never wondered where it came from.
Elisabeth is often shortened into Betty.
My take is that it’s a mix of Betty and Ditsy.
March 4th, 2008 at 11:33 am
Annon, #28: Thanks for asking that. I was wondering the same thing.
Dee, #27: I’m not familiar with the site you mentioned.
Rachel, #26 & #29: For what it’s worth: I’ve never seen Bitsy or Bits used for EH. (Ditsy–now that makes sense!). You might have misunderstood my lengthy post–I wasn’t talking about trolls & flamers, who I agree we all just have to live with. My point was that a regular poster here, who contributed so much to the discussions, was treated shabbily IMO by other regular posters–and for a lame reason. Like you said, people could have just passed by the questions she sometimes would get about what TLB meant instead of badgering her to stop using the name. Treating a regular poster in such a way is something that’s hard for me “to just live with” without speaking up.
I’m sorry you have been snarked at for lengthy posts & hope you don’t take it to heart. By the way: What does STFU mean? (LOL)
March 4th, 2008 at 12:47 pm
Sybil,
About the Bitsy thing, when I first started watching the View, I used to post on TWOP (Television WiThout Pity). Geez, what is it with all the acronyms today, LOL (Laughing Out Loud. OK, now I stop…!)
I reckon TWOP are the ones who came up with the name(though I’m not 100% sure), then it just spread out to other sites.
As for the whole TLB thing, I pretty much know the whole story; did my “homework”.
I wasn’t posting much for a while (when the comment thing wasn’t working), but still occasionally lurking.
So when I realized that some regular posters had disappeared, I sniffed good reading material, (colour me wicked, but I looove cyber-arguments!) so I hunted down all the juicy comments that were still left and figured out roughly what had happened.
I’m not gonna take position, because it’s an old story, and when it happened, I wasn’t visiting the blog too much, so I probably don’t know all the details.
I guess it just depends on the people; some will be driven nuts with acronyms they don’t understand, and others won’t care. I’m not bothered about abbreviations, nicknames and acronyms, as long as they don’t make the whole comment incomprehensible.
I post on IMDB, where there is boatloads of barely readable crap being posted every other second, so I’m immune to cryptic writing, strange acronyms and “creative spelling”.
Oh, and STFU stands for: Shut This Freaking Umbrella.
March 4th, 2008 at 12:49 pm
Rachel, I learned most of my acronyms from you (thanks) - I just google and learn. I now use ITA.
I like TLB (Torture Loving Barbie)as a nickname for EH and have used it myself. The poster explained it many times and said she made it up. I think it is an apt description.
I was off-line when all the drama happened.
March 4th, 2008 at 2:01 pm
Sybil # 25,
I agree with most points that you made.
Perhaps it was more of a problem than I had thought it was. I honestly don’t recall it being that much of a problem. As in many people having a problem with the use of that acronym, or others. I can’t remember if I said anything at the time ?? one way or the other. All I know is it sure didn’t bother me, and I had no complaints.
I would just like to know if this is the reason that the prior poster doesn’t comment here any more?? If so that is a terrible shame. And I “sincerely” mean that.
Some times people don’t realize how much their words hurt and alienate, someone else. Or in this case perhaps the non use,…as in not standing up for or by a regular poster. I think you have to be tactful in doing that. Some times it causes more negativeness and more Irate comments.
Like Rachel said above with the WWW comes every kind of person, and opinions.
Sybil I appreciate you bringing this to light.
March 4th, 2008 at 2:38 pm
Can’t we say her name? Or do we have to act as though we are the panel on The View and pretend “Rosie” doesn’t exist.
Anyway, I doubt that Rainlillie stopped posting on this site because people objected to the term TLB. No one has that much power over a strong woman like her.
March 4th, 2008 at 2:48 pm
“Some times people don’t realize how much their words hurt and alienate, someone else.”
Totally true, Sandy.
And the internet makes it even worse, because when you read someone’s posts, there is no tone of voice, no facial expression, no body language to go with it; just words on a screen. It makes it very easy to misinterpret what ppl mean sometimes.
I know I flew off the handle on some folks before; I just didn’t get they were joking. And the opposite happened too; I cracked a joke once, and some chick didn’t get it and slammed me. I had to post to explain that I was kidding and everything was alright again.
One really good piece of advice: if you’re a coffee addict, like me, NEVER post before you had your first cup. Found out the hard way, LOL!
March 4th, 2008 at 3:25 pm
Hey, Nosey:
People leave blogs for a variety of reasons, irritation and frustration and “this is a waste of time” being very high on the list. “Weakness” or “strength” or “having power over someone” has absolutely nothing to do with it. The point I was trying to make had to do with behaviors of regular posters toward another regular. Using a specific name is so not the point and so beside the point. It was the scenario and the behavior that mattered. The comparison to Rosie not being mentioned on The View doesn’t make sense. Rosie isn’t mentioned because they are upset with her. In this instance I for one partly didn’t mention a specific name (and still will not) because I was trying to be thoughtful. And as I said, the name is not the point anyway.
March 4th, 2008 at 3:39 pm
“Rachel, I learned most of my acronyms from you (thanks) - I just google and learn. I now use ITA.”
Erika, really?
Hmmm, I dunno if that’s good or bad…LOL!
I didn’t think I used that many acronyms, but maybe I’m so used to it by now that I don’t realize it.
I think the ones I use are pretty common though.
And like you, I’ve googled a quite a few, YMMV and TPTB being two that were driving me nuts on TWOP. They’re totally addicted to YMMV over there.
GF. (Go figure.).
March 4th, 2008 at 3:47 pm
My comment was directed to Sandy’s post:
“I would just like to know if this is the reason that the prior poster doesn’t comment here any more?? If so that is a terrible shame.”
There is an implication in that statement that Rain left because of the TLB drama. Though I don’t believe she has left this site since I’ve seen her post recently.
Anyway, you don’t have to explain your initial post. I got it then. I get it now. I agreed then. I agree now.
March 4th, 2008 at 4:56 pm
# 34 Nosey Body,
I didn’t use her name because the comment I was responding to, had not used a specific name. It seemed more thoughtful, to me as well.
I’m sorry it sounded like an implication, it was meant as a “concern”. Something in the # 25 comment…paragraph 7, gave me the impression it had something to do with the TLB drama, that’s all.
While Rainville and I disagreed quit a bit, I really respect her. I very much “admire” her passion for what she believes. I agree that she does seem like a strong woman. That to me, doesn’t mean that you can’t, or won’t have your feelings hurt by something.
And I’m using a soft friendly tone in this comment.
I think we all understand and agree with # 25.

“Rainville” Are you talking about the same person? Nosey Body said “rainlilie.”

Dear Ms Goldberg,
Having had 25 years each in Australia & NZ in sales and marketing I would truly love to handle your range of beautiful bedware. I would also be interested in some of your new lines, especially the jewelry.
Do you have any interest in this? Perhaps you have already prepared a draft distribution agreement I could look at.
Whoopi, please come back to me. I would like to get this up and running as soon as possible.
My warmest regards,
Susie
