The View Hot Topics October 7th (Video)
Here is a video of a portion of The View hot topics segment from October 7th. In it, the hosts talk about politics and, among other things, Sherri Shepherd confronts Elisabeth Hasselbeck about John McCain’s lack of judgment when he left his former wife for current wife Cindy McCain.
The View, Sherri Shepherd, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, John McCain, Cindy McCain

October 7th, 2008 at 10:58 am
[...] Elisabeth said something about Obama’s judgment and Sherri said that if you want to talk about judgment . . . and then Sherri started shouting very emphatically at Elisabeth about how John McCain’s first wife was injured in an accident and McCain left her for another woman-Cindy McCain. Elisabeth asked her if it had gotten personal. Sherri said it is not personal, it is passion. During Sherri’s shouting, Joy stood up and said “It’s getting rough.” (Video now available: October 7th Hot Topics) [...]

Winnie: First of all thank you for closing down the website yesterday after multiple
confrontations between a few people.
If the want to rant and banter incessently
then perhaps they should e-mail each other.
It became quite obnoxious.
Thanks again.
October 7th, 2008 at 11:07 am
I’ve never written before but after watching the View today, I needed to tell EH to hang in there!! YOu are alone in a room of Liberals who would vote for Hitler if he was a democrate. I think it is criminal for BW to use her show for one candidate or another. I always admired her but not anymore. Sheri is a big mouth who knows nothing of the way our government works. Joy is a joke. My only question is why can’t democrats discuss Obama without getting mad and defensive. As for me and my family we will not watch the View anymore. I don’t need any Holloywood types telling me about the candidates. I research them myself. Maybe the women on the View should research before they open their mouths! Go Elizabeth!!
October 7th, 2008 at 11:21 am
Why does the view consistently allow Elizabeth to display such contempt and ignorance when discussing politics and almost every other issue. She drives me nuts, I cannot even stand to listen to her anymore, if you want an intelligent conversation about what is going on in the world today, please leave her out. I can’t believe she is still a part of this show. Time to show her the door!!!!!
October 7th, 2008 at 11:22 am
Wow. Bits telling someone else to “calm down” and “relax”??? ROTFL!
I’m surprised Barb did not do the sing-song “we love each other” bit.
Barb looks really nice. Nice cut of the top. I did not see her walk out - was that a long dress or a pants set?
October 7th, 2008 at 11:27 am
The View is my absolute favorite program - but this ranting from Elizabeth has got to stop. We all get it that in her eyes John McCain can/has never/will never do ANY wrong. Tunnel vision will get you in trouble every time - it’s called respect for others opinions and I am so very tired of her inability to discuss the McCain/Obama differences with grace and control that I will celebrate on November 5th - regardless of who wins - hopefully she will handle the outcome appropriately.
October 7th, 2008 at 11:34 am
I hate BITS she is the dumbest person I have ever seen. I wish she would leave the damn show. She never LISTENS to what anyone says to her, she is so ready to pounce its so annoying.
October 7th, 2008 at 11:37 am
Can anyone make out what Joy said after EH told Sherri to “relax.”
October 7th, 2008 at 11:44 am
This was no a good public showing, Elizabeth I do respect you for your strong ethics and support of your candidate; but, You did come across very narrow minded, just posessed on pointing out the issues that create a narrow image and contraversary. It did not show you as an active team member of “The View” which is what the show is. Even with strong personal views-one should be a good listener and provide respectful commentary on the opinion of the other views. This does not mean compromise to your own being. It is good to look beyond the mud slinging, and find the heart of the issues.
October 7th, 2008 at 11:45 am
elisabeth is extremely narrowminded. she is incapable of seeing any other point of view but her own. that type of person is very dangerous. she wasn’t listening to a single word that barbara said.
October 7th, 2008 at 11:54 am
Yes - Go Elisabeth - I am also done watching the View - The ranting is on the side of Barbara, Whoopi, Joy and Sheri - they do not let Elisabeth get a word in. It seems as if Barbara Walters and Bill Geddy have made this show a support group for Obama. I agree with everything that Yak has said above and hang in there EH - if Mcain wins then the other ladies will have to deal with it - if Obama wins then the other ladies can deal with the fact that America will probably deal with the Impeachment - because he has no idea what he is getting into and as a member of the retired military world - he has no clue how to be a Commander in Chief. We are in a world of hurt if he is elected. I believe that Washington is drowning in it’s own sea of &^%$%^& and as Americans we ought to oust every politician on Capital Hill.
October 7th, 2008 at 12:07 pm
I too heard Joy tell EH something when she was telling Sherri to relax. I also was wondering what the note said that Sherri gave to Elizabeth. Do you think it was an apology for yelling at her?
October 7th, 2008 at 12:11 pm
I think she may have said, “Relax, you’re winning,” but I am not sure.
October 7th, 2008 at 12:15 pm
I heard the word “winning” as well and wondered why she told EH that. Now I realize she was probably talking to Sherri…letting her know she was kicking EH in the ass.
Thanks, Winnie!
October 7th, 2008 at 12:17 pm
Winnie, please accept my sincerest apology for cursing on your blog. When I realized what I did it was too late.
October 7th, 2008 at 12:23 pm
I was undecided before I heard Elisabeth un-elegantly espouse her narrow views. She not only helped convinced me to vote for Sen. Obama, but convinced my husband. We are both Republicans and this is the first time we will vote for a democratic president. In the words of Pres. Reagan, “I didn’t leave the [Republican] party, it left me.” Elisabeth has done more harm to Sen. McCain’s campaign than good.
October 7th, 2008 at 12:24 pm
Go yak! BW has lost any credibility she had.
October 7th, 2008 at 12:28 pm
Winnie used the F word in her recap! I had to go wash my eyes! LOL
Lopez: Joy said, “Girls! Girls! Obama’s winning (to Sherri). Relax.”
FYI, although I agree with Kelly #7 she is not me. And I am not her.
October 7th, 2008 at 12:30 pm
Joy said “Obama’s winning, relax! He’s winning!”
It was nice to see Sherri prepared for the discussion.
October 7th, 2008 at 12:32 pm
Kelly: Sorry to have dirtied your eyes, but it IS the name of the song!
Lopez: I didn’t even notice. I think I have become immune to hearing/seeing swear words.
October 7th, 2008 at 12:34 pm
Barbara, Joy, Sherri and Whoopie, how do you maintain your patience when Elizabeth morphs into another Ann Coulter?
After this election, it will be time for Elizabeth Hasselbach to go to FOX news with Hannity and O’Reilly or the likes of Limbaugh. She will eventually argue with all of them too. Her pompous self would fit right in with them until they get annoyed with her too.
Her views are peppered with ineffective rambling sarcasm. One loses track of what her point may be, other than her patronizing the right wing.
I don’t know how you gals get through a show with her.
Kate
October 7th, 2008 at 12:40 pm
i am unhappy that elisabeth always has to shout above the other four ladies to get her point across. I am also tired of listening about the other four ladies pushing their canidate for president and pushing her off when she has something to say. this was at one time a program for women now it is a program for president. we would like to hear something else. i understand whoopi and sherri
because they are black they are like a lot aof other black persons they will vote for color. barbara i am really suprised about because i thought she had an open mind.
in need to get something else off my mind when i was younger and i had a lot of black friends that called me by the n-word i took it as an endearing name and was proud that my freinds consider me as their friend but now i think that this word is giving the younger generation the wrong idea and that it is ok to call each other this without the endearment. we the persons that are raising and guiding these young ones need to start a new way. it is really up to US,
THANK YOU
October 7th, 2008 at 12:46 pm
I am so sick of listening to E.H. She is totally rude and will not listen to anyone elses opinion. I used to like her, but recently she is just off the wall. I think we all get the fact that she is a Mc Cain supporter, but at least let other people share their views.
October 7th, 2008 at 12:47 pm
Winnie, Hi, first time posting. E.H. is doing a classic GOP ploy. People, people, people, E.H. is acting on desperation, same as McCain’s campaign. Character attacks is all they have left. People are losing their jobs, 401k, savings, homes, and you mean to tell me that all the GOP wants to talk about is Obama’s character? People, don’t fall for this distraction tactic.
Obama. Is. Winning. Keating 5 is relevant because it has to do with the S&L scandal deregulation of banks, where people lost their savings. The currenct economic crisis has to do with the same thing, and it was MCCAIN who was all for deregulation.
People, please, the GOP wants you to NOT talk about the economy because they were in charge for the past 8 years. I urge you to look past smears and get the facts. You are online and the information is out there. Make your own
October 7th, 2008 at 12:48 pm
Winnie, love this blog.
October 7th, 2008 at 12:55 pm
I’m sorry, but I think Elisabeth is right. Those other 4 are a bunch of whiny tree hugging hippies. They don’t let Liz get any words in, they cut her off… She has good points, but they don’t want to hear it because they think that Obama is the be all, end all.
October 7th, 2008 at 1:03 pm
Agreed! yak72745 says it all. View- you lost my vote! The only thing that I would add is if this is the national TV’s representation of today’s women as displayed by Joy and Sheri today with their “tar and feather em” attitude. We’re all in trouble! Last I looked this is America and we are all entitled to our own opinion. Even if the DEMS can’t handle the truth! Poor judgment with out remorse. Sure doesn’t spell credibility.
BTW - I am a today’s woman and in their age group. Grow up girls! Sheri it wasn’t personal! No need to get all up in her grill!
October 7th, 2008 at 1:07 pm
G O S H E R R I
What’s with “don’t make it personal”
We need a EH translation dictionary.
When she’s passionate, it’s passion.
When she’s angry, it’s because she cares.
When Sherri is passionate it’s because she makes it personal.
P U L E A Z E
P.S. Why doesn’t BW talk to her staff behind the scenes and set some guidelines for discussion, rather than doing it at the table. And then fire anyone who can’t conform. Sheesh.
October 7th, 2008 at 1:28 pm
I think they all feel like they have to get their point in or it’s time for a commercial and we all come back smiling and lovey dovey. They need more talk time and less reality show guests.
October 7th, 2008 at 1:33 pm
Hi All - I vote for The View to declare itself a Politic-Free zone. I feel like I’m watching my parents fight. (thanks Winnie for the clips) Same old stories, same old shouting each other down … never any progress to better understanding or resolution. Either P-F, or let them divorce already (like my parents did). This group of co-hosts just isn’t conducive to giving the daytime audience that for which we hunger. SUBSTANCE.
It has become ridiculous and this business of throwing the word “terrorist” around so casually is heading our country into very dangerous territory. Anyone see the story about a Palin rally attendant shouting “Kill Him” (referring to Obama)?
For EH to promote that characterization in this day and age is simply irresponsible. And it’s just wrong for McCain/Palin to incite such fervor. I can still hear Cindy McCain’s voice telling everyone that her husband would definitely NOT go negative. When all is said and done, none of us will forget this campaigning behavior.
As for the new voices on Winnie’s blog - Welcome. I must say that I am dismayed at how the worst part of The View seems to be spilling over here the past week or so. I look forward to resuming our usual thought-provoking, intelligent and informational exchanges all of which are launched by something useful presented (or missed) in the program.
Winnie, thank you for the timely reminder of the rules of comment conduct.
October 7th, 2008 at 1:39 pm
I don’t think EH or Joy listen to any one but themselves. They are straight party voters and slinging just as much mud as the politicians. They need to research for themselves the voting records and talk open mindedly. That is a joke they can’t.
October 7th, 2008 at 1:43 pm
Sherri you were magnificent. You have grown so much since you started on the show. You can give as good as you get. Don’t feel you have to apologize to someone who has no critical thinking skills and can only parrot Shammity.
It was awesome how you called it passion and literally mimicked the behavior that Bit’s uses all the time. The finger brought back the visual of Bit’s shaking it at Rosie while screaming “Defend your own insinuations”.
October 7th, 2008 at 1:56 pm
Elisabeth is too biased to be on the show she comes across as very immatureandone sided. Her racism shows through daily nd she doesn’t seem to mind? many of the comments she made were no logical and continue to create division. Give her a leave of absence until the election is over!
October 7th, 2008 at 2:03 pm
I want to defend Elizabeth, not for her view or for the way she presents her opinion; rather, for what she has to endure. EACH time she attempts to give her “view” she is pounced on by all four before she can complete her thought. Maybe if they would allow her a chance to complete her thought, she would be less strident. Why is it that Whoopie is allowed filibustering?
October 7th, 2008 at 2:05 pm
Wow…I just saw CNN version of the View…EH..is crazy…and she was very disrespectful to Barbara…BW ask them to stop the attacks on the show…and EH just had to get her last two cents in…before they went to break…she is crazy! Sherri was correct…if u gonna bring up the past..then lets go there…and with John MCCrazy wives, judgement on the war , his crazy VP pick and readiness to keep America in War!!!
October 7th, 2008 at 2:07 pm
After reading the above blogs, I know I am not alone in my thinking that something has to be done about EH’s SHOUTING!!!! Nobody can hear anybody…it’s very trustrating to the viewers.
October 7th, 2008 at 2:25 pm
re: #21…typo…I meant “FRUSTRATING TO THE VIEWERS”.
p.s. Sherri, you go girl…don’t let EH talk you down!
October 7th, 2008 at 2:26 pm
Stick a sock in Elizabeth’s mouth. Today was totally unreeal for her to accuse Obama for the economy. It shows her lack of intelligence and Stars for Sherri for Bringing up Mccains double standard in going off with the rich young babe and leaving his wife and kids. A family tradition that little miss TooShus claims to aspire to.
October 7th, 2008 at 2:31 pm
I am a true fan of The View, and DVR it every day. I used to love the views of the women, as they truly represented some of my own views, and enabled me to broaden my horizons by being exposed to other views. I wish the screaming matches would just stop, and they would begin to express their views in a respectful manner. Passion does not have to be rude, and you can express your views without yelling. With everyone talking over top of eachother, no views can be heard!
October 7th, 2008 at 2:32 pm
Thank You Barbara! Please keep that young nieave voice on the panel. We need to hear the ignorance from the young. So the young can see the difference and once again start looking up to the elders that have been around a lot longer. When Elisabeth speaks I pray! She too will look back someday and hope nobody judges her by what was said on most of your shows topics. Oh, Elis,do you ever watch yourself on tape? just a hint.
October 7th, 2008 at 2:37 pm
I definitely think Elizabeth should leave or take a leave of absence for the next month.I watch the view for entertainment, not to see Elizabeth ranting for John McCain. Lets see what the country decides in regard to the election. If not I will not watch anymore and I am sure I am not alone…..
October 7th, 2008 at 2:43 pm
Todays show was interesting! I am so proud that Sherry reminded us of the shady concerns we have about John McCain. I for one can not trust anyone who abused his first wife so badly. Furthermore, Sherry did not mention that McCain received his marriage licence before his divorce was final. I love to hear different view points. That is what the show is all about. Therefore, EH should be challenged more often because she often bullys her view points Republican style which is fine, but others should be allowed to be just as aggressive as she.
October 7th, 2008 at 2:52 pm
ELIZABETH IS THE ONLY INTELLIGENT PERSON ON THE SHOW. I CAN NOT BELIEVE SHE PUTS UP WITH THEM GANGING UP ON HER ON DAILY. DIDN’T BARBARA HAVE AN AFFAIR WITH A MARRIED MAN? IF SHE THINKS WE SHOULDN’T BRING UP THE PAST, WHY DID SHE WRITE HER BOOK!!!!
October 7th, 2008 at 2:53 pm
wow…I love the fact that these women have asked candidates some good questions, but I end up with a headache trying to discern who is saying what..stop the yelling
October 7th, 2008 at 2:53 pm
I think Elizabeth is a republican pundant, she is interrupting, and has all the phrases used with all of the neo-cons, do they call her each day with the catch phrases?, I think she should be replaced asap. I really think she is a hate monger
October 7th, 2008 at 3:13 pm
ELIZABETH IS THE SMARTEST PERSON ON THE SHOW…JOY IS A VERY MISERABLE WOMAN AND IS SO BOTHERED BY ELIZABETH ITS OBVIOUS….ELIZABETH SHOULD DO HERSELF A FAVOR AND LEAVE…SHE WOULD BE SO MUCH BETTER OFF THEN DEALING WITH HER DAYS DEALING WITH THEM 4 LOST WOMAN..
October 7th, 2008 at 3:16 pm
I missed the view today. I wish Barbara that you would get rid of Elizabeth. She is not looking at anything from both sides. She needs to chill. Whoopi you are the greatest, glad you joined the view. I am waiting for the day Elizabeth leaves, and you hire someone who can discuss both sides correctly.
October 7th, 2008 at 3:34 pm
I THINK EH IS MORE INTEGELANT, THAN SARA PALIN……
GO FIGURE..
October 7th, 2008 at 4:03 pm
[monica murdaugh Says: i understand whoopi and sherri
because they are black they are like a lot aof other black persons they will vote for color.]
Talk about being racist. That is really an unfair comment to make.
October 7th, 2008 at 4:09 pm
Lizzie’s ineffective imitation of good political conversation and argument only serve to illuminate her lack of substance, good taste, and decency.
I used to think she was a gibbering idiot. Now after hearing her latest discharge I have a lower opinion of her.
October 7th, 2008 at 4:12 pm
#11 Kris:It seems as if Barbara Walters and Bill Geddy have made this show a support group for Obama.
Rosie O’donnell has stated that BG is a republican.
October 7th, 2008 at 4:21 pm
The View is my favorite daytime program, though these days due to Elizabeth I feel nothing but aggravated during and after. I am not even a democrat!! I am embarassed of you and for you Elizabeth!
Can we start a petition - ‘Get Elizabeth Off The View’!!!!!
October 7th, 2008 at 4:32 pm
22 Monica Murdaugh–
barbara i am really suprised about because i thought she had an open mind.
you forget…. Barbara is a republican. She just doesnt like how EH is acting. They are on the same side though.
October 7th, 2008 at 4:33 pm
Desperate times call for desperate measures. McCain has squandered his reputation, bowed to the worst elements of the Republican party in his selection of Palin and agreeing to dishonest campaign tactics - labeling Obama as a terrorist and not so subtly playing the race card - a direct appeal to the “low information voter.” Please . . . JB, WG, SS don’t back down. Get the info out there.
October 7th, 2008 at 4:38 pm
I agree Holly. Well said.
October 7th, 2008 at 4:44 pm
Elizabeth is clearly not a bad human being, but she is narrow-minded and childish. The Republican party should be outraged that their “representative” on the show cannot engage in debate like an adult. She never concedes a point, even when she’s been proven wrong. The other do, in fact, acknowledge some of Elizabeth’s points even when they disagree with her. I do not think Elizabeth should be replaced because she is a Republican; I think she should be replaced because she’s not intelligent. None of these women are educated politicos, but at least Joy and Whoopi will admit that they do not know everything about a given subject.
October 7th, 2008 at 4:59 pm
I have never heard anyone call Obama a terrorist. I have heard them say he has been dishonest. And even if they did how is that racist? Bill Ayers is a terrorist how does race play in that?
October 7th, 2008 at 5:06 pm
Rebecca
At a Sarah Palin rally, the crowd was calling Obama a terrorist, then they were chanting kill the terrorist.
It was allowed to continue by Palin which gave the impression that she condoned that kind of talk.
I dont know who called that racist but it is dangerous, and shouldnt be allowed by any politician on either side.
October 7th, 2008 at 5:08 pm
Before giving Sheri credit for blasting Sen. McCain about his first marriage, maybe she had better go to Fact Check….
Sheri has said many times about her divorce that there are two sides to every story…but I guess when it comes to MCCAIN, it’s not true. Maybe if you read what McCain’s x-wife says about their marriage.
http://www.factcheck.org/askfactcheck/did_john_mccain_cheat_on_his_first.html
October 7th, 2008 at 5:10 pm
Roger thanks I had asked what was being said at these rallies but didn’t get an answer I thought I was being ignored
I agree that should not be allowed.
October 7th, 2008 at 5:14 pm
Pat- I’ve already made that point. McCain cheated on his wife and trust me I was pissed when I first heard this but after hearing the whole story I forgave him. It had to have been hard after 5 years away in POW camp and then to come back and be the same man and I think she understands that and that is why she only talks highly of him.
October 7th, 2008 at 5:15 pm
Via Huffpo, via the Tennessean, Cindy McCain says “Sen. Barack Obama has ‘waged the dirtiest campaign in American history,’ and her husband Sen. John McCain will use tonight’s debate to correct the distortions.” Huh?
EH says nothing new; it is ayers, wright, rezko.
To be fair, Anne Hathaway’s boyfriend also had some dealings with Bill Clinton, involving buying abandoned churches, I think.
October 7th, 2008 at 5:18 pm
[monica murdaugh Says: i understand whoopi and sherri
because they are black they are like a lot aof other black persons they will vote for color.]
It is very unfortunate for you, that you too like EH are soo narrow-minded. While drowning in your ignorance, you need to know that Africian Americans do have the capability of voting for someone who is intelligent, well educated,a dedicated family man, and in their opinion a qualified candidate. The fact that he too is an African American is a bonus.
October 7th, 2008 at 5:25 pm
McCain’s wife has medical care for life from Cindy Lou and Carol’s children are taken care of too. I wouldn’t kill the golden goose either.
Rolling Stone has a 10 page article on McNasty and it is bone chilling.
How charitable to forgive someone elses husband for having an affair. I myself wonder what happened to Vicki Iseman that he was close to these past few years.
October 7th, 2008 at 5:33 pm
Thanks Dee, I try.
October 7th, 2008 at 5:39 pm
Rebecca–
You seem to have an open mind. Im not sure if u saw when I posted this the other day.
http://www.rollingstone.com/news/coverstory/make_believe_maverick_the_real_john_mccain
I would be impressed if u actually read it. Id like to know what u thought of it.
October 7th, 2008 at 5:40 pm
I always read them
October 7th, 2008 at 5:40 pm
It is the article that Dee was referencing.
I should have said that in the previous post.
October 7th, 2008 at 5:46 pm
At one time in my life I thought I likes Elisabeth. (When she was on Survivor and that show on cable) Now that I have seen another side of her, I honestly cannot stand her and what she stands for. The moment I hear her shrill voice, I become ill and change the channel!!!!!
October 7th, 2008 at 5:51 pm
Carol McCain, “The breakup of our marriage was not caused by my accident or Vietnam or any of those things. I don’t know that it might not have happened if John had never been gone. I attribute it more to John turning forty and wanting to be twenty-five again than I do to anything else.”
And this on Sarah and Todd:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SnEO4eIp2eQ
October 7th, 2008 at 6:01 pm
Roger- I don’t think Tim likes McCain too much. Wow!
October 7th, 2008 at 6:06 pm
Im not sure actually….. many of the things I read in that article I had heard other places before.
I dont really think anything new was in it, but it is the first article where everything was in one place.
I think everyone thinking about voting for McCain should read it.
October 7th, 2008 at 6:17 pm
Ok then show the article that he wrote about Obama. Because Obama isnt’ perfect so he must have had something to say.
But don’t you also hear the stories that talk highly about McCain, I’ve heard men that were there with McCain in that POW camp talk about how brave he was and had only wonderful things to say.
Tim took all the bad things people had to say about McCain and then added his own opinion which was negative. You could do the same with Obama.
My point is both canidates have demons they both have faults, they both are imperfect. They are both politians.
October 7th, 2008 at 6:30 pm
I guess you also believe what the head of the POW camp said about his and McCain relationship, how they were treated so nicely and blah, blah, I don’t know I was so disgusted that they even dared to interview that guy, what was the point, I mean what did they think he would say. disgraceful
October 7th, 2008 at 6:33 pm
Roger did you watch the RNC?
October 7th, 2008 at 6:39 pm
The debate is about to start I have to get my popcorn
October 7th, 2008 at 7:42 pm
I to will not watch the view anymore. I am sick of listening to Barb and Joy. Elisabeth you go girl!! You need to leave that show and get your own, you are better than that. Stop taking the abuse.
October 7th, 2008 at 8:30 pm
Rebecca #73
A bit of FYI regarding a fellow POW’s opinion of John McCain.
http://www.laprogressive.com/2008/08/25/why-i-won%E2%80%99t-vote-for-john-mccain/
October 7th, 2008 at 8:36 pm
Judging from quite similar verbage and syntax, I get a seriously strong sense that 3 or 4 of you extremely supportive of EH are in truth only one. JMHO
October 7th, 2008 at 8:37 pm
Elizabeth is so predictable. A typical narrow minded, judgmental, republican hypocrite. If she knows she has nothing to scream about, she pouts and turns it around on someone else. I bet her GOP cronies are so ashamed of her “limited” intelligence! She is pathetic but I watch anyways just to see her swoon over Palin and McCain. It is so like high school!! HA!HA! WAY TO GO SHERRY!!!!!!
October 7th, 2008 at 8:49 pm
Yes the vets do not like mccain,
he told lies about torture and others who were with him know this,
mccain gave information in exchange for not being tortured , mc made many videos while he was in captivity which were aired around the world and have since been locked up, he also braggs about his military experience which is about 20 hours of fly time, and many airplanes and people killed, he shouldn’t have been allowed to fly but was becuase of his daddy
I’M PROUID OF SHERRI, BARACK IS A MAN OF ETHICS, MORALS, SOMEONE WHO LOVES HIS FAMILY
THIS IS SO REFRESHING TO SEE A MAN OF THIS CALIBER HEADED TO THE WHITE HOUSE,….
WE’LL BE ABLE TO HOLD OUR HEADS HIGH WHEN HE COMES OFF AIRFORCE ONE
, WITH MCPALIN WHAT DO WE HAVE TO BE PROUD OF…A WOMAN WHO CANNOT MANAGE HER FAMILY BUT WANTS TO MANAGE A COUNTRY AND A MAN WHO HAS CHESTED, LIED AND STOLEN….
ONLY A MAN LIKE BARACK WILL STAND UP FOR HIS COUNTRY LIKE HE DOES FOR HIS FAMILY,
MCCAIN FINDS A WAY TO LIE, CHEAT, AND STEAL.
I SAY GO SHERRI!!! GO SHERRI!!!!
UNLIKE MCCAIN WHO CHEATED ON HIS WIFE AND IS MARRIED TO THAT WOMAN WHO ABUSES DRUGS
THIS IS NOT PERSONAL AS EH SAYS, THE QUALITY OF A MAN/WOMAN IS WHAT STEERS THE DECISIONS THEY WILL MAKE AS PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES,
PRAY FOR US ALL

October 7th, 2008 at 9:05 pm
I have watched The View in it’s unstructured and irresponsible format for a while now; and have to say that this type of behavior is frustrating. I see four intelligent women who argue in a way that is very undignified and petty. I have my own view on the presidential candidates and can honestly say that this election will be the first time I vote since voting for Clinton. EH’s and Sherri’s behavior is very upsetting because this show should take a queue from Oprah Winfrey, if you can’t be objective, don’t even talk about it. Everyone has an opinion about the candidates and their running mates, but for the narrow minded and unobjective followers that vote, please ladies, be more responsible with your words. Thank you.
October 7th, 2008 at 9:39 pm
ednaegan, I never said all, I said some, and whatever I stated still shouldn’t warrant your snark and nastiness. Why should it bother you if its not talking about you?
October 7th, 2008 at 10:28 pm
Damn, I never thought Sherri was very smart, but she was ON FIRE today. I loved it. She has gained my respect.
October 7th, 2008 at 10:33 pm
After watching the View today. I was disgusted! For the first time I thought about not watching it anymore. I was digusted with Sherri’s attitude. very unprofessional behavior. You can tell she is finally doing some reading and then tries to pass herself off as knowledgeable. too late sherri! EH tries to express the opinions of millions of people who have similar beliefs! She is brave. If I were her I would walk off this bias show.
October 7th, 2008 at 11:25 pm
First I’ll state that I’m a democrat, but one that likes a good debate and to hear other opinions. There are republicans that can actually be truthful and not just spew the spin (Joe Scarborough, Pat Buchanan are two examples). Elizabeth, however is a woman that can’t seem to empathize or see that the world (and politics) is not black or white. She is EXTREMELY one sided, and often gets more time than all the others. She brings the antagonism all on to herself. She acts like a spoiled child.
If Obama had left his wife for a younger richer model, the way McCain did, she would be all over it. This was probably the smartest thing Sherry ever said … I didn’t think she had it in her.
When are Barbara and Getty going to find an appropriate level headed knoweledgeble republican to replace her. And while they’re at, get rid of the “world is flat” sheppard.
And Yes, Rosie is probably texting Whoppie, saying “I told you so”.
I don’t know their political afiliations but I always thought that Paula Zahn or Deborah Norvile would have been better additions to the panel.
October 8th, 2008 at 1:18 am
i dont understand why BW gets up EH if she speaks over someone
but its all ok for joy and whoopi to rank and rave over EH all the time.
theres a famous saying. “Treat everyone equally.”
BW isnt showing that one bit
October 8th, 2008 at 1:45 am
The Jeremiah Wright issue - I get it. 99% of white people don’t get it, won’t get, and shouldn’t have to get it..As a 36 year old black woman, you can’t understand it until you’ve been called a “nigger” to your face. It’s happend to me in my life time(more than once). So I get it.
Bill Ayers (hope last name spelling is correct)I get that too. I don’t think he ever spent time in jail, and I’m sure if he were a serious threat to America he would be behind bars TODAY instead of teaching at a university. “we find and kill the ones we real want.” I just which people would realize that we all at some time or another have not associated with the best of the best, nor have we made the best decisions in life. Bush was voted as President, even though he had a history of abusing alcohol. It’s 3 am in the morning and the RED phone rings, who do you want to answer the phone? A raging alcoholic, a guy with little experience or a guy who can’t pick up the phone at all (just kidding)I mean a guy who’s been in washington for 26 years and has just decided he wants to make a change..Give me a break..wake me when it’s over..I’m going to bed.
October 8th, 2008 at 2:31 am
I’m at the stage now where I find the View hysterical….I also think Joy, Whoopi and Sherri have reached the point where they know they are dealing with a moron and so they just cut her off every chance they get….God knows when she’s been asked a question, she somehow twists and turns till it’s all about Obama. The thing that astounds me is that EH honestly thinks everything that comes out of her mouth is right. Well honey, I got news for you, you are nothing but a groveller (sp), in other words you brown nose.
I am sick to death of people going on about her being cut off and not given a chance to speak…..works both ways, she cuts anybody off that doesn’t agree with her, at least the others can acknowledge that there is good and bad in each of the candidates….she has such a hate for Obama it scares me.
I feel sorry for Barbara, deep down I think she would love to show her the door, but she is just trying to keep the peace.
EH is doing Rocky and Bullwinkle no favours, she is so smug and cocky, this was never more evident than today with Sherri…she went off her head and Princess Muck sat there like butter wouldn’t melt in her mouth…….omg I detest her.
October 8th, 2008 at 5:01 am
I will enjoy watching Hasselback after Obama wins the election! She’s the reason you don’t give idiots a sound board. When did she become the reason of santity in america. What is her experience in world affairs. She’s no more capable than my 14 year daughter. She’s an arrogant ass and needs to be taken down a few notches.
October 8th, 2008 at 5:20 am
EH is little grasshopper to Sensei Hannity. She has been Hannitized.
Here’s one of Hannity getting the Ayers treatment. Notice anything familiar in the way Hannity deals with hypocrisy? Doth protest too much, Sean????
…and a posters comment below:
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/10/08/robert-gibbs-confronts-ha_n_132842.html
“No wonder Al Franken referred to this show as ‘HANNITY & combs’… Hannity talks like a typewriter and blurts out anything his pea brain spews forth — he’s the perfect complement to Elizabeth Hasselbeck — I’m sure they’d make wonderful nuclear distorted demon spawn together — that would emerge with the same clack clack clack speech cadence while barfing their brains out with RNC talking points…” - Bbbmer
October 8th, 2008 at 5:47 am
Thanks for the link Kelly. I watched that clip yesterday and I thought Gibbs made a great point. I think people would give some credibility to TLB if her thoughts were authentic. She really is a GOP talking points Pez dispenser.
Hopefully she watched the debate last night and realized that the people at the town hall and those watching, care about real life issues. No one mentioned Ayers or Rev. Wright.
Independents favorability ratings of McCain dropped during the debate, when he got nasty.
I find it funny, that McCain didn’t say anything to Obama’s face, yet he sends a woman out to do his dirty work on the stump. The McCain campaign should listen to the voters. It’s about the issues this time around.
October 8th, 2008 at 6:47 am
Personally, I don’t trust television (Reality Shows & The View). I think Whoopi, Joy, Sherri, EH and BW are scripted and prepared before the show starts. They prepare for the Cat Fight which makes Good TV + Ratings. The producers of the View uses EH to make the Republican Party look bad. I believe EH is intelligent and articulate but the producers “Dumb Up” EH’s conservative views, while BW plays Good Cop/Bad Cop. Shame on the View!
October 8th, 2008 at 7:17 am
I stand corrected. Thanks for clearing that one up ednaegan. It really explains alot. I mean what else would propel a person to create so many different personas to worship “TLB-The Lovely Babe-Elisabeth.”
As long as you’re aware of it I guess it isn’t hurting anyone.
Carry on.
October 8th, 2008 at 7:35 am
I am so glad I found this website. Elisabeth Hasselbeck has been driving me crazy. She is entitled to her viewpoint and I like to hear differing views; however, she spouts buzzwords and talking points and generally brings the level of the discussion down. She needs to learn first of all how to stop spouting Fox News and talk about how she feels. And she really needs to back off of the Ayers/Wright stuff, because John McCain has a lot of people in his past as well, and that includes his association with a criminal (Keating) as well as his position on the board of a radical organization. You hear me, Elisabeth? And cheers to Sherri for gathering her facts and responding to Elisabeth. EH doesn’t want to be reminded that as far as making judgments about a candidate’s decisions, McCain is vulnerable to criticism about his handling of his adultery and marriage. Glass houses, Elisabeth.
October 8th, 2008 at 8:08 am
#53 Barbara is NOT a republican.
October 8th, 2008 at 8:25 am
Ella #87 - I agree with you compeltely.
October 8th, 2008 at 8:34 am
#78. Meleon ,
You are spot on. It shows you how small TLB’s (Torture Loving Barbie) fan base really is. I don’t watch Faux News, but I was shocked to hear about the program that the right wing parrot Hannity did. He had an anti-semitic guy on. It says something about TLB’s character if she not only watches that garbage, but she spews the same venomous lies.
October 8th, 2008 at 9:35 am
I normally watch The View clips from the ABC.com website. Interesting that for yesterday’s show they have editted/deleted the ‘discussion’ regarding with Sherri & EH.
It will be very interesting to watch from now on. Will they all be reprimanded and told to play nice with each other?
I just can’t see EH holding her cool though. SHe is a coiled snake ready to bite at any given moment.
October 8th, 2008 at 10:03 am
“They have editted/deleted the ‘discussion’ regarding with Sherri & EH.”
I also find that interesting.

this link is telling about how mccain felt about debate.
October 8th, 2008 at 11:26 am
mibi ,
McCain has no class. That’s not surprising to me that he would be behave in such a rude way.
October 8th, 2008 at 12:36 pm
#96, mibi - Thanks for the link. Wow, I gasped at how obvious he was … well, at least Cindy McCain had the decency to not leave Obama’s hand hanging there. Wow. Even the commentators call him on his “disdain”. Wow.
October 8th, 2008 at 12:43 pm
#91, Barbara has many close friends who are Republican fund raisers and her past boyfriends were known Republican politicians. I don’t think you can confidently suggest she is not Republican.
October 8th, 2008 at 2:53 pm
I’ll admit this is petty - but does anyone else think EH is looking weirder and weirder? Her teeth keep getting whiter, her skin keeps getting tanner, and her hair keeps getting blonder. If I didn’t know better, I would guess her next child would be Britney Spears. She’s starting to look really cheap, especially because it’s genetically improbable for someone with such dark brown eyes to have such light blonde hair.
October 8th, 2008 at 3:42 pm
I am really sick and tired of that Elisabeth girl she is just so ignorant when it comes to politics the country has never been in so much trouble as it is today and it is thanks to the stupid choice of keeping that Ignorant jerk George W Bush. in office. She is just trying to excuse the unexcusable please just get rid of her. She just has no place in this show She just seems to be a racist pig.
October 8th, 2008 at 4:55 pm
Deborah #92 - thankyou.
October 8th, 2008 at 5:09 pm
Joy has from day one made fun of McCain she puts him down every chance she gets but they jump all over Elizabeth if she says anything about Obama. I just watched the clip above and Sherri is really upset she implies that McCain left his wife or cheated on her because she had changed physically but he was scarred and physically broken when he came back. And they were together for several years after he was home. If he was home and not in a POW camp when she had her accident and he left her then ok maybe you could say that.
October 8th, 2008 at 5:53 pm
Rebecca -#112
Joy is a comedienne, she makes fun of everyone, she has on many occasions said that she likes John McCain and respects him.
The issue here is not the fact that he left his wife for whatsherface, but that EH aka Princess Muck passes judgement on everyone that Obama has ever been in contact with. I’m sure if she could dig up some dirt on his postman she would. She is a dick for brains and needs to get her facts straight before she opens her mouth. As someone said earlier, can you imagine if it was Obama who traded in his wife for a younger model, good God we would never hear the end of it. EH and Hannity are 2 of the most ignorant and stupid people I’ve ever had the misfortune to watch on TV, I’m sure they were seperated at birth.
October 8th, 2008 at 5:58 pm
thank you #4…how can this not be personal when its all about choosing a person who will make decisions for our entire nation! how can a man who cannot even be loyal or honest to his wife be expected to do so for his country; there is so much evidence that clearly states HE CANT BE TRUSTED!
WHY hasn’t The View gotten rid of EH! how many more hate comments does abc need to see that she is so out:
SHe is a coiled snake ready to bite at any given moment.
Elizabeth should be replaced because she’s not intelligent and she never concedes a point, even when she’s been proven wrong.
I am embarassed of abc and for Elizabeth!
Can we start a petition - ‘Get Elizabeth Off The View’!!!!!
Lizzie’s ineffective imitation of good political conversation and argument only serve to illuminate her lack of substance, good taste, and decency.
I wish Barbara that you would get rid of Elizabeth. She is not looking at anything from both sides.
waiting for the day Elizabeth leaves, and you hire someone who can discuss both sides correctly.
ELIZABETH SHOULD DO EVERYONE A FAVOR AND LEAVE!!!
I think she should be replaced asap.
I definitely think Elizabeth should leave or take a leave of absence and if not I will not watch anymore and I am sure I am not alone…..
Stick a sock in Elizabeth’s mouth. Today was totally unreeal for her to accuse Obama for the economy.
something has to be done about EH’s SHOUTING!!!!
Elisabeth is too biased to be on the show she comes across as very immatureandone sided. Her racism shows through daily and she doesn’t seem to mind?
EH..is crazy…and she was very disrespectful
I am so sick of listening to E.H. She is totally rude and will not listen to anyone elses opinion
Why does the view consistently allow Elizabeth to display such contempt and ignorance when discussing politics and almost every other issue
October 8th, 2008 at 6:53 pm
Elisabitch Hater, TLB (The Lame Bitch), has the audacity to tell Sherri to calm down. LOL!! She has spazzed on more than one occasion. She kinda got a dose of her own medicine and Joy is right..she does listen to the Ham (Hammity) too much. She is entitled to opinions and having everyone on the view agree would be BORING. What is often said about her is her inability to listen to opposing views and at least try to see that perhaps someone else could be right about an issue/topic.
I think it was Roger who said that mccain could tell her the sky is a pale green. She will defend it and tell us not to go outside to see for ourselves the color of the sky and that Barack is a bad man because he says it is blue. That type of behavior is what people get sick of and just find her irritating and annoying.
October 8th, 2008 at 7:03 pm
Sorry for the profanity, Winnie. That was uncalled for and I do sincerely apologized. Neva again.
October 8th, 2008 at 7:44 pm
Welcome Janice (#99). I too, am a Hassel-holic.
Rachel Anna (#109): Oh, that’s petty, but I’ll play. I did notice she is looking very fried. And she is not a real blonde; she proves that every time she tries to pass off her belt as a skirt.
Hi Maria Whisner (#110). I too, am a Hassel-holic. Welcome.
Ella (#113): Whatsherface has a name! It’s…….. IllTakeYourOldWhiteWrinklyHusbandAndRaiseYouTwoVicodinAndABunchOfStolenRecipes
“She is a di*k for brains and needs to get her facts straight…”
That must be some sort of ‘down under’ language that’s not quite translating…but I like it. J
Missy: Let it out.
TLB, Torture Loving Barbie, The Lame Bit*h, The Little Bit*h, Elisabit*h, Hasselbit*h, Hammity Parrot, and Princess Muck…I’ve waited so long for this moment.

October 8th, 2008 at 8:28 pm
I feel that EH really has to stand her ground with a bunch of liberals. It sounds like most of the people posting are liberals too! I think she does a great job expressing her Christian beliefs and political opinions. We live in America! We should all be able to express ourselves without all of this hatred. I don’t understand why people get so hostile when someone thinks differently than them!
October 8th, 2008 at 9:18 pm
EH cleans her teeth with gunpowder, she is always shooting her mouth off. Can’t stand her, never have, never will. Not because of her politics but because of how she speaks, whines and pouts. She has no inkling of politics and just plagiarises whatever that Hammity says, she can’t think for herself and has no humility to even accept she could be wrong or see any good in Obama. Get her off.
October 8th, 2008 at 9:43 pm
Lexi, your last statement sums up how EH is with EVERYONE whose views are different from hers. We cannot understand that either.
October 8th, 2008 at 10:13 pm
#119 Lexi–
Christian beliefs???
–Didnt she sell her bra for a peanut butter sandwich on nation TV?
–Didnt she get up on The View and shake her bottom for $50
–How can people that spew hate then turn around and claim Christian beliefs?

“Whatsherface has a name! It’s…….. IllTakeYourOldWhiteWrinklyHusbandAndRaiseYouTwoVicodinAndABunchOfStolenRecipes”……I think I prefer your name more than mine, lol
Sorry about the aussie slang….d*ck for brains basically means sh*t for brains or she has no brains….hope that makes sense.
kelly love all your posts…..oh and btw I think the reason my reply to your post didn’t go thru the other day is cos it was totally off topic (Rabbit Proof Fence)

My my, just watched Michelle Obama on Larry King……she is such an intelligent, articulate, thoughtful, caring lady, she is total class. Princess Muck, whatsherface and Annie Oakley need to take a leaf out of her book….but then again you can’t make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear.
October 9th, 2008 at 6:33 am
“Not because of her politics but because of how she speaks, whines and pouts. She has no inkling of politics and just plagiarises whatever that Hammity says, she can’t think for herself and has no humility to even accept she could be wrong or see any good in Obama”
Exactly!
October 9th, 2008 at 7:44 am
I guess Palin isn’t the only one with executive experience. I think Obama actually has more than she does. I guess that was just more lies from the McCain camp.
October 9th, 2008 at 7:54 am
Rebecca – come on over into the light!!
It’s mind-boggling. I just watched a terrorist inflammatory video that sounds a lot like EH – and found some weird convoluted assertions. This video tries to paint Obama as a terrorist, anti-Semite, American hater, government conspirator, Muslim-supporter of Jihad, all in one video. They cut off all of Obama’s responses when he tried to answer the questions directly! YouTube is full of videos trying to link Obama to Saddam Hussein, Nazis, and Osama bin Laden!!! What kind of people are out there among us, crawling out from under rocks exposing there once-hidden bigotry, racism, and hatred for all things ‘different?’ Does anyone really think we can create CHANGE by re-electing the same OLD familiar NOT different politicians; another old finger-pointing angry Washington insider?
And the Rush-Conservatives called Liberals “Conspiracy Theorists” when we questioned Bush’s now well-established relationship to the Bin Ladens? The man who has still not been caught! Look at our state of affairs now! Are these people for real?
Who are Joe Six-Pack and Hockey Mom? I thought McCain/Palin were appealing to middle-class Americans with that moniker. BUT NOW, I think they must be calling out the KnuckleDraggers: low-information, white supremacist voters in hopes to win the election by labeling their opponent as a black supremacist, Jew-hating, America-hating, bomb-loving, Turban-wrapped Muslim terrorist who just happened to go unnoticed all these years…until the 11th hour when McCain threw himself onto the devil’s sword!!!
Watch the video of Mob Mentality at an Ohio McCain/Palin rally. The McCain campaign is using fear…and encouraging violence against Barack and now against Barack supporters. http://bloggerinterrupted.com/2008/10/video-the-mccain-palin-mob-in-strongsville-ohio
October 9th, 2008 at 8:00 am
Ella- because Joy is a “comedian” she can be rude but because Elizabeth is not a comedian she can not. ??? Just because you think your funny doesn’t mean that gives you an excuse to say whatever stupid thing you want. And Joy says plenty of stupid things.
October 9th, 2008 at 8:01 am
How come the ladies haven’t talked about this Acorn issue. Regardless of who you are voting for this is a big deal.
October 9th, 2008 at 8:04 am
#129. Kelly,
If McCain/ Palin won’t speak out about this ugly behavior, it means they’re condoning it.
October 9th, 2008 at 8:06 am
kelly watching that video make me want to cry it hurts my heart. these people are my neigbors and sadly some are dead serious about what they said.
October 9th, 2008 at 8:10 am
All that was missing from that rally were the white sheets and hoods.
mibi, it makes me sad but mostly angry.
October 9th, 2008 at 8:14 am
michelle obama on larry king she was class and grace all the way .i was votign for him anyway but it made me feel so good about it.
i was going to say something about seexist and palin but am over it
i want to say it worreis me that people want to say the election all but over. when the nyt is talking about how voter are beign taken off the roll in swign states for no reason.
i try no to get mad at ingnorance. willful ingnorance is just shameful but some will not be changed
October 9th, 2008 at 8:19 am
Kelly: It is videos like the one you posted that give me anxiety dreams every night. It makes me so sad. I hope they are embarrassed by how horribly ridiculous they sound, but I imagine not. So sad. So scary.
October 9th, 2008 at 8:22 am
Rebecca: I’m just reading up/watching the Acorn stuff. If there is any voting fraud, on either side, it is a knife in the heart of democracy and should be stamped out by both Republicans and Democrats alike. I’ll be reading more on Acorn.
mibi - I would say I know how you feel, but truth is, I don’t. But I’m sorry you’re feeling it.
October 9th, 2008 at 8:34 am
Bill Ayers “Kill the rich people…bomb their cars…teach the kids to kill their parents because that is where it is at…”
I want to know how does Bill Ayers feel today because he is teaching our children.
IF.. he does have the same views then what… is that relavent, that Obama would choose to fund Bill Ayers education “reform” programs???? This is the issue. We know that Obama himself is not a terrorist.
October 9th, 2008 at 8:41 am
“he is teaching our children.”
If he’s teaching your child, I take it you’ve met him. Therefore you already know the answer to that question.
October 9th, 2008 at 8:45 am
#129 Kelly - Oh my goodness. How scary the people in that video are!
#135 mibi- yes, I saw Larry King/Michelle Obama clips. I agree; very classy.
October 9th, 2008 at 8:46 am
rain- he’s not teaching my child. but he is teaching our children. Our meaning our nations children. But I think you already knew what I meant. Thanks for your input.
October 9th, 2008 at 8:47 am
I wonder if those fixated on Ayers will have the same curiosity about Palin’s hubby belonging to that Anti-American group? Survey says…NO!
October 9th, 2008 at 8:52 am
Kelly- those indiviuals should be just plain embarrassed. There is no doubt that there are alot of ignorant people in this world.
October 9th, 2008 at 8:52 am
to #59 Pat: Thanks for that link. Of course, Carol Shepp would say that (that they are friends to this day and that he is the one who would make the best president) because McCain has supported her (Carol) financially throughout ALL these years and right up thru today.
Know that Nancy Reagan and Carol are best friends and Nancy has hated McCain since he pulled this number on his first wife with Cindy McCain.
And to all, let’s remember that EH stated emphatically that a cheating husband cannot make a good father nor a president. Now she’s got her nose so far up McCain’s behind in support of him….she reeks hypocrisy!!!
October 9th, 2008 at 8:59 am
To imply that Carol would care more about money than her own self respect is just wrong.
October 9th, 2008 at 9:06 am
Rebecca, Obama has not funded any program of William Ayers. William Ayers does not have a program to fund.
Ayers sits on a board for the Annenburg Institute. Annenburg endorses John McCain.
Boy, the McCain supporters are really grasping at straws. Can’t win on issues so they go to the McCarthy playbook.
October 9th, 2008 at 9:10 am
to #45 Rebecca: I have also read that Carol has been in love with McCain all these years - I should have added that to my original post….sorry ’bout that.
October 9th, 2008 at 9:17 am
MiamiVision Says:
“And to all, let’s remember that EH stated emphatically that a cheating husband cannot make a good father nor a president. Now she’s got her nose so far up McCain’s behind in support of him….she reeks hypocrisy!!!”
Indeed.
October 9th, 2008 at 9:17 am
Rain- do you have an opinion regarding Ayers? Do you think that my concerns on whether our next president is sympathetic to Ayers radical views are irrelevant?
October 9th, 2008 at 9:22 am
So these are the rules, you can imply that a United States Senator “pals around with a terrorist,” but you can’t imply that the ex-wife of McCain’s cares about money.
October 9th, 2008 at 9:25 am
#146. Stacee,
ITA!
October 9th, 2008 at 9:34 am
Heres a issue for you. The people have been all upset about the “Bailout” saying what about us, how are you going to help us with our mortages…. McCain suggest helping those with these bad mortages and he gets slammed for it. McCain just can’t get it right.
October 9th, 2008 at 9:38 am
I think Elizabeth should be ashamed of herself. As a woman, I am offended that Sarah Palin is the best that the Repulican party can do. Of all the intelligent women who would be much more qualified, they chose a ditz. According to E.H I am to be impressed that she can put two sentences together in a debate. Give me a break!!!!! E.H needs to educate herself before she opens her mouth and research McCain. Tell us about his war record, how he crashed 4 planes and killed hundreds of people. How he does not support the veterans. Give me someone who can relate to the average person. I see foreclosures everyday, while he is counting his houses. Please Elizabeth (Survivor Contestant) open your eyes
October 9th, 2008 at 9:41 am
Elizabeth H needs to leave the view and work under John McCains campaign! I used to enjoy watching but she is so narrowminded and opinionated, she always takes over the entire conversations to voice her outlook again and again, like we want to continue hearing what she thinks- Does anyone else feel this way? GIVE US A BREAK BEFORE YOU RUIN THE SHOW! I thought this show was to Discuss current issues, not rant like a spoiled child. Come on BW get it together, Elizabeth needs to get a grip or go!
October 9th, 2008 at 9:42 am
Sitting on an Annenberg board would imply approval by the Annenbergs.
Ayers was on an Annenberg board.
He is approved by an Annenberg.
McCain is endorsed by Annenberg.
He is a appoved by Annenberg.
Therefore, John McCain is a domestic terrorist.
Makes as much sense as the rest of what I’ve heard.
October 9th, 2008 at 9:49 am
I just want to add that I hope you all don’t think am at the computer weeping my commnet was more an expression of these attacks being scary, bugging me and hiting close home for me including the rally being in ohio than actualy personal hurt
October 9th, 2008 at 9:49 am
#153. True. That also makes Bush 41 a friend of terrorists. He was at a meeting with a member of Bin Laden’s family on 911.
October 9th, 2008 at 10:02 am
I want to make it clear I do not think Barack Obama is a terrorist. I do however think he has been dishonest about his relationship with Ayers “just a guy in my neighborhood” He endorsed Bill Ayers book.
Now Obama agrees that buying back the mortages is a good idea, but only his plan not McCains.

I am so tired of Black women griping about what happened to their ancestors. We in this generation never had slaves, no Black people of several generations have been slaves and they all need to get over it!! It was there leaders in Africa that was selling them to the whites so they need to get over it and put the blame where it belongs - with their own ancestors.
Sherri - when the Vietnam War ended do you know that White Soldiers and Black Soldiers alike were also treated with no respect.
Peple - get into the 21st century and get over it!!
