The View July 29th Recap: Tori Spelling
Today on The View, Barbara Walters was absent, leaving only four hosts. Joy Behar said she was sick again, just before hiatus. This has happened each year; last year she had Shingles.
The trailer for W, the new Oliver Stone movie about President Bush appeared on the internet yesterday. They showed it on the show. Whoopi said she wants to see the movie. Elisabeth said, “Really??” Elisabeth said it is another one of Hollywood’s games, coming out right before the election. She said it is biased and suggested that people see a documentary instead. Joy said it was interesting that Richard Dreyfuss is playing Dick Cheney because he really hates Republicans. Whoopi said she is interested to see it because she would like to see it before saying it is a “piece of dog doo.” Sherri said she loves to see movies about real people to see how they got where they are. Whoopi said that Elisabeth is saying it is slanted but she hasn’t seen it. Elisabeth said from the trailer she can gather what it is about and will not be shocked what it is about it. Whoopi asked her if she would admit it was a good movie if it turns out to be good. Elisabeth said she would dance around on stage in a tutu. Whoopi said she should see it before she says she hates it. Elisabeth said she doesn’t hate it, but thinks it is biased and a spoof. Joy pointed out that documentaries have accused of being slanted, like Fahrenheit 9/11. Elisabeth said they are investigative, though.
The Los Angeles City Council wants to ban new fast food restaurants in southern Los Angeles and bring in healthier restaurants. The California Restaurant Association said that no other restaurants besides fast foot places want to open there. Sherri said that at one time, no movie theaters wanted to be in that area, but then Magic Johnson put his theater there and it has been successful. Whoopi said you can do business there, despite what people think. Joy said that if you put healthy food there, people will eat it. Elisabeth said only if it is affordable, because people will choose what they can afford. Sherri said parents don’t cook as much. Joy said that many people in urban areas are working several jobs and don’t have time to cook. Whoopi said you should give the land back to people so they can grow vegetables in order to have affordable produce. Whoopi said (again) that they should take out the high fructose corn syrup and not the trans fats, because she likes her trans fats in chicken and it is the high fructose corn syrup is what is making people fat.
There is a rising trend of moms who let their friends breastfeed their babies. According to Baby Talk magazine, 45% of people say it is disgusting or weird. Elisabeth said she might do it in case of an emergency, but she doesn’t know if she could commit to that. Sherri said couldn’t produce enough milk for Jeffrey, so if she had a friend who was able to produce milk, she would have had him feed Jeffrey so he could get the antibodies. Elisabeth said she would have fed Jeffrey for her. Elisabeth said she accidentally gave Tim breast milk once. Whoopi said she understands why Elisabeth would be upset if Tim was breastfeeding on another woman, but doesn’t understand why breastfeeding another’s baby is bad. Sherri said it may because of the intimate nature of breastfeeding. Joy thinks it is disgusting and equated it to sharing a toothbrush. She said that the baby does know the difference. Whoopi said the baby doesn’t know, they just know it is a meal. Sherri said that when she held Tori Spelling’s son Liam, he was looking at her breasts for a meal. Elisabeth said who wouldn’t because her breasts are so tempting. Joy said that the baby learns the mom’s smell and Whoopi said baby know food and not mom.
Couples “cheat with their checkbook” by buying things and not telling their spouse. Elisabeth said the best strategy is to consolidate the bags when you get home. Sherri said she cheated financially all the day by going off the budget and pretending new clothes were old. Joy said that having her own money is the best thing because she doesn’t have to ask “Can I have that dress?” Sherri said if you have a goal together to do something like buy a house, you should not cheat financially. Then something flew behind Whoopi.
There is a new book called Waiter Rant, which reveals that waiters do disgusting things to the food, you should always check the bill, and that waiters work hard everyday to make a living. They talked about giving tips. Joy always gives 20% and Sherri gives good tips because her father was tipped pennies sometimes because he worked in a prejudiced area with white customers. Whoopi said when the service is not good, she will ask the waiter whether she did something to piss them off. Sherri said that she will tell them if something is wrong so that they can be better for the next customer. Joy said that there is sexism in the restaurant business and at fancy restaurants, it is almost always male servers. Elisabeth leaves a tip regardless of whether the waiters messes up because it happens a lot. She said you need to mark your food when you send it back to make sure they don’t send it back again. Sherri was offended by a waiter who circled and highlighted the part of the check that said “It is customary to tip 15-20%.” She said she was told that the restaurant gets a lot of European customers who don’t tip. Whoopi joked “You look like you are from France.”
Whoopi starts on Broadway in “Xanadu” tonight and she will have a good time no matter what.
Tori Spelling appeared on the show to promote her Oxygen series Tori and Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood. (Video of Tori Spelling’s interview on The View here). Her son Liam is 17 months and daughter Stella is seven weeks old. She said that sleep is hard to come by, because one child sets the other one off, although Stella is almost sleeping through the night. They asked her if she would have someone else breastfeed her child and she said that there are studies showing that a baby needs less and less time with breast milk to get the antibodies. Liam is gradually starting to like Stella.
The show now follows Tori and Dean in their regular lives in LA, as they are no longer running the Inn. She has worked with Motts to make a play-date planner for parents to keep track of their children’s schedule. She is working on a second book called Mommywood about raising her children. Sherri loves how real they seem on the show. She asked Tori if she still has trust issues with Dean because when they met they were both married. She said she did when she was pregnant with all the hormones. Deep down she knows that loves her.
Tori will be in the new version of 90210 as Donna Martin. She doesn’t know the details yet, but only knows that she is fashion. She is not sure if Donna and David will still be married.
The next segment was “Bizarre Spa Treatments” from around the world.
* Israel: Snake Massage (with non-venomous snakes). They did not demonstrate this one.
* Japan (via Shizuka New York): The Geisha Facial using nightingale excrement; They demonstrated it on Sherri and she had a pained look on her face. She said this is what happens when you are the newest host.
* Mexico: Corona Beer Face Lift; egg whites and beer give you an instant face lift. Whoopi came out and grabbed a couple of beers and went backstage.
* Hershey, PA: Chocolate Body Treatment
* Turkey and other countries: Fish Pedicure for exfoliating (using Garra Rufa or Doctor Fish) available on John Ho’s Salon (Yvonne Hair and Nails); Sherri was the victim again and she said it was ticklish and felt like the fish were kissing her feet. She seemed to really enjoy it. They are working on the technique to get a whole body exfoliation. (Video of Sherri Shepherd getting a fish pedicure here).
What do you all think about these treatments? Would you try any of them? I think I would do the snake massage and the fish pedicure, just to see what they are like.

I enjoyed the show when Whoopi mentioned the new movie “W” and EH made a face and started dissing it without even seeing it..saying she’ll dance in a tutu on the stage if it isn’t biased. I’ll dance around in her favorite republican’s (W) oval office in a tutu if EH leaves the show! She made it HER show when Tori came on..talking about squirting her breast milk out through the audience..oh how not funny or cute that was. I would have enjoyed the bit with Sherri and the cosmetic thing if EH hadn’t tried to be getting her jacktail self in charge of the segment (rubbing shoulders for Sherri, talking her blabbing head off as the woman was explaining the procedures, etc). I think EH has a case of Red Bull before the show!

Josh Brolin has turned out to be an excellent actor. I would wait for the DVD. We have lived through seven years of this nightmare with Bush, the movie should be a horror movie.
Here’s the trailer for those of you who didn’t see it:

Very funny May! I’ll grab my tutu and join you in the Oval Office - we can perform our own version of The Nutcracker!!
Agreed, Josh Brolin is the new break-out star.
July 29th, 2008 at 11:24 am
I can’t stand it when Elisabeth makes those disgusting references to how much breast milk she has and how much she wants to squirt the whole audience with it. She has some kind of sick fetish with breast milk. She has numerous times made comments about how far she can squirt it and how many people she could feed. And what I found most disturbing is how she announced that she once gave Tim her milk to drink. Notice no one asked her to elaborate?
For someone who is supposedly so conservative her breast feeding comments are far from it.
July 29th, 2008 at 11:54 am
I wish that EH had tried the snake massage, just for kicks…
July 29th, 2008 at 1:07 pm
Tori Spelling needs to verify her “research” that babies only need 2 weeks of breastmilk and that Enfamil gives the same health benefits as breastmilk?
If you are a new mom struggling with breastfeeding, please do not listen to her drivel - please seek out your local La Leche League or lactation consultant (usually in hospitals).
This is INCORRECT information mamas!

Tori Spelling has obviously not done the right research on breastmilk or she would know how beneficial it is to babies at any age. For most mothers, it takes at least 2 weeks, if not longer, to establish the breastfeeding relationship AND to truly establish the milk supply. I feel sorry for her children and I feel sorry for anyone who might think babies don’t need breastmilk past the 2 week mark
I have many friends who are extended breastfeeders (past the age of 1) and their children are the healthiest children I know. In fact, it is recommended by the WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION that babies breastfeed to the age of 2 (not exclusively of course) so that they can benefit from the antibodies provided in mama’s milk.
July 29th, 2008 at 2:36 pm
I agree about the breastfeeding comment. Tori does not know what she is talking about. i have researched a lot and the longer the better. I breastfed mine until one and i am happy with the results. My sister breastfeed her youngest until over two and that child has a super high IQ.
I am not a huge fan of Tori anyway.
July 29th, 2008 at 3:06 pm
Yes, breastfeeding…longer is best.

July 29th, 2008 at 3:21 pm
I’m guessing that Tori was thinking about colostrum.
July 29th, 2008 at 3:53 pm
I do believe that breast milk is the best, if the mother is on a proper diet, but formula is also very nutritious. Just do what works best for you.
If the kid can spell the word milk, he should probably start drinking from a cup.
July 29th, 2008 at 4:10 pm
I saw the beer thing entirely differently than some of the above posters. I saw Sherri start drinking a Corona when she sat down for the rest of the spa treatment (fish) and then Whoopi came out and took 2 or 3 bottles away from Sherri, spoofing like she was making sure that Sherri had no more. Then after the fish were pedicuring Sherri’s feet, Whoopi came back out and gave Sherri back a beer (perhaps thinking that Sherri was fearful of the fish).
Just my interpretation…..
oh, and *RME* at EH condemning Oliver Stone’s new movie “W” from a 1-2 minute trailer pre coming out to the public. Someone really needs to slap her into next year (or to the moon!).
July 29th, 2008 at 4:16 pm
Tori is very much so incorrect on breastfeeding and/or she is getting very_poor advice/information. It takes about 6 weeks to get that supply and demand thing going fully.
As far as Enfamil goes, I remember them pulling it off the shelves in the early 1980s here in the USA (in a huge area) due to some kind of contamination.
The La Leche League’s wonderful book “The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding” was so valuable to me when I first started breastfeeding back in those days. There is nothing like mother’s milk! This book cost $4.95 back then. I would suggest it to everyone interested in breastfeeding (but is probably $10 today).
July 29th, 2008 at 4:18 pm
Last week I was reading a 2007 Vanity Fair article about Ina May Gaskin, midwife from The Farm commune[I think she is featured in Ricki Lake's birthing documentary]. Breasts were communal also. She said that even one man lactated. She encourages the fathers to French-kiss the mothers during labor and claims that about 20% of moms orgasm during birth. I can’t believe BG hasn’t had her on the show.
July 29th, 2008 at 5:03 pm
Does Whoopie have children?? I would guess no since she said that breastfeeding is just a meal and the baby doesn’t know it’s mom. Giving a baby a bottle may be just a meal, but anyone who has breastfed knows how strong the bond is that is created between mother and child. It is so much more than just food. At least Joy piped up and said something about it!
July 29th, 2008 at 5:27 pm
The mothers diet is very important if you choose to breastfeed. Some women aren’t that discipline as far as eating healthy, therefore their milk isn’t going to be healthy. Which means a formula may work best for them.

Fun times on the earthquake express.
But I wanted to comment on what was said on the show when they were talking about the Los Angeles City council decision to ban any new fast foods in the predominately African-American part of town.
I believe the democrats [of the elite ruling class] are racist, from the days of founding the KKK to today. Why today?
The ban proves that democrats/liberals that’s called the city council understand that white people are able to make informed decisions for themselves, but those blacks aren’t capable and need the government to make the decision for them. Ouch!!

I gues that explans y soo meny men r obsesed with brests.

I agreed with Elizabeth in terms of the factors dictating why people spend thier money in specific restaurants. She is absolutely correct in advising the market dictates the success of the product and the vendor.
I have been reading the personal attack on Elizabeth for the past few days and they are very mean spirited and hurtful. Do any of you ladies believe that just because she has this job that she should become scrutinized for every opinion that she expresses? You’ve attacked her family, her politics, her personality…whats next?
I would expect her to be proud of her husband. It shows good character. If the man is going to be out of a job, then why wouldnt she support him positively rather than express to the world that he didnt make a draft. That would be terrible. He is the father of her children.
I find it interesting that the View ladies are concerned that Britney is scrutinized unfairly on a daily basis by a media. You can ask yourselves why they defend EH? Probably because she too is being attacked daily. They support her because they (unlike the media and some of you) have compassion and can support her. Britney is flying solo.
As fellow women…perhaps we want to take a look at how we are attacking as well. Not too becoming.
Cheers,

DonnaJ-
Well said.
July 29th, 2008 at 6:50 pm
Oh, I don’t like her because I’m jealous of her. I don’t want to take up the room to give all the reasons, but mostly it’s her powerful intellect and silky, golden, blond hair.
July 29th, 2008 at 6:58 pm
Perhaps if Elisabeth would show compassion to others, rather than just herself and republicans, maybe the viewing audience would give her some back?
She presents a horrible persona, and in my opinion, is an insult to women everywhere.
July 29th, 2008 at 7:01 pm
I think DonnaJ & Michael are really Elisabeth & Tim Hasselbeck - because truly who else would defend EH?
July 29th, 2008 at 7:06 pm
Deborah-
When I get back from trying out for quarterback I’ll dispute your baseless assumption.
July 29th, 2008 at 7:12 pm
FYI
Elisabeth spells her name with an s not a z.
DonnaJ are you in England?
July 29th, 2008 at 8:02 pm
You think we’re mean-spirited DonnaJ? You ought to see what her fellow Republicans think of her:
http://www.debbieschlussel.com/archives/2008/07/thats_your_cons.html
We treat EH like royalty compared to those potty-mouth conservatives. Thanks for the link Stacee.
July 29th, 2008 at 8:08 pm
Donna J…………your opinion about the EH bashing is right on the mark. IMO
July 29th, 2008 at 8:18 pm
isn’t it stunning how Whoopie thinks she knows everything?…including what newborn babies think…wow, she’s amazing..
(3 fingers down the throat!)
July 29th, 2008 at 8:26 pm
LOL berndoubt!
Kelly, You’re welcome
SANDY W! Where have you been?
I just realized who Josh Brolin is. I did not even recognize him in the trailer.
MiamiVision, that’s a plausible explanation for Whoopi’s actions. I guess she’s come on stage during segments so often before that it’s not really cute or funny to me anymore. But your explanation makes sense. Still, she should let the people in the ear tell her not to drink. Whoopi coming out on stage is -dare I say it??? - a distraction.
Oh and I thought Bitsy was extra shrill today. And Sherri should burn that shirt, IMO. It made her look extra top heavy, like a football star. I did not think it was flattering, not one bit.
July 29th, 2008 at 8:29 pm
Ouch, someone doesn’t like eh besides the women on here. Good link.
It doesnt’ take a lot of brains to see that she was placed on the View to give a semblence of balance without fear that she could actually upset the moonbat applecart that the show espouses.
That link is on the right side of conservatives. Doesn’t speak very highly of terrorists, I wonder if it has anything to do with the “kill all kikes” threat she received, and the terrorist pleading guilty in a us district court.
July 29th, 2008 at 10:11 pm
It is disappointing when breasfeeding is shoved upon mothers. I did not and my children are very healthy and smart. This was not always mainstream.
If you do not have proper nutrition it will not serve a better purpose than formula. We can make our decisions for our children ourselves. I’m glad to see Tori has received the same information that has been in the news for weeks.
July 29th, 2008 at 10:40 pm
One of my best friends had her first/only daughter 4 years ago, I’m very involved in her life. My girlfriend has a sister with a boy & girl and her other sister just had her sixth daughter. Lots of kids to spoil in my life.
July 29th, 2008 at 10:42 pm
If you’re an ABBA fan you’ll love the movie.
So is it political correct to say niggardly?
Without a doubt running up to a black on the street yelling niggardly isn’t appropriate unless you’re a waitress and got stiffed on the tip.
July 29th, 2008 at 11:07 pm
So I should keep my words focused on food?
Want to talk sushi? I graduated sushi school in march 2007.
July 29th, 2008 at 11:07 pm
Forgive me lord for I have too much to say and maybe OFFEND!!
Ok, Ok.. Let me be the first to say I didnt breast feed and I am not ashamed.
Ok When I first got prego.. my husband TOLD me “YOU HAVE TO BREAST FEED!!” Well I was taken back since I really had no desire too.. but I would be willing to listen to his argument and hopefully he would support but instead, he tried to jam it down my throat. So The young feminist I was.. just politely refused and told him “you cant make me” lol.. really it wasnt truly about his demand but my desire to not. I could of been swayed.. but to have it jammed down my throat made me more opposed to it. Ok, that was many years ago.. but my daughter still did breast feed, which I did support, .. and thank u Marthe, my daughter did say the Colustrum was most important, Especially for woman who had a hard time producing milk, it made them feel better that they tried. Ok get this.. the bigger you are,, the harder it is to produce friggin god given milk to your infants.. go figure??? What an oxymoron??
Sara, just to let you know,, Whoops does have a daughter.. but unaware of her parenting style.
DOnna J - TO make the statement that we are attacking EHC (Eliz Hassle Crack)cause we are mean spirited and hurtful cause she has a job??? and she shouldnt be scutinized?? Lord have mercy.. she does this on a weekday basis on the friggin hot topics!!! She attacks lots of celebs about their parenting skills, lack of Pubes waving flaggin party!!! She makes judgement everyday which is why we have this opinion of her!!! And she should be exonerated from it?? Micheal you agree as well?? I thought you were independent of that right way thinking!!! I am just quoting you is all
(at some point in time)
Ok for all you EHC supporters.. you have every right to align yourself with her.. support her political beliefs and morals. BUT YOU CANNOT DEFEND A YOUNG WOMAN WHO PASSES JUDGEMENT ON OTHERS WHOM SHE DOESNT KNOW!!! She does this for her job and so we do this to her. We judge her for being judgemental only. Not for her family values or her party. Its her judgement on others only which she is god and judge and they will have judgement day.
I’mj just saying…..
July 29th, 2008 at 11:14 pm
Ok just for the record.. I dont like the work n***dly cause its to close the work that wont ever leave my lips since I was raised that it was too offensive. Dont temp yourself with definitions that might slight the word.. but its still to close to comfort. I know too many peeps that would that norm word like its a part of their vocabulary and have no shame in it. Racism is alive and well in this country and stopping the use of the word can only ensure that SOME peeps will not tolerate racism.. I dont care if the race itself still uses it. For what ever reason. ITs wrong since the use of the word I hear peeps only means it in the mean sense of the word. So no contest.
I’m just saying..
July 29th, 2008 at 11:16 pm
Ok going to bed for the peeps who gonna respond.. its late.. night and tomorrow is another day..

Aileeny-
Facts are irrefutable, opinions are to each their own. The ONLY person I agree with 100% is me, go figure.
Yeah, eh says some bonehead things, as do joy and whoopi and in the past rosie. I’ve said boneheaded things, to think otherwise would be pretty ignorant of me.
Thankfully, neither eh or rosie are in any position to make laws dictating how I live my life.
Even though I don’t agree with all that comes out of her mouth, I don’t think she has hate in her heart and sincerely believes in the “help” she is offering. Rosie on the other hand got screwed big time by all the unfortunate crap that happened in her childhood and that anger/hate is still burning deep inside her. Rosie rants about guns yet her armed private security packs heat around her kid. How sincere is she in her opposition to guns?
If you are upset with eh for making judgments what are you doing if not judging her?

Hi All - Re: Steak & Lobster … bleah! Vegetarian here.
So, when does a “troll” become a bona fide “poster”?
Michael, I don’t think you are a troll — I don’t agree with a lot of your opinions; I know that it’s mutual & that’s perfectly okay. Actually, sometimes your point is lost on me because you simply answer others’ points with argument. I will say that I have definitely appreciated the effort you’ve made to be more human (my word) and that has helped me a lot to stick with your posts to hear you out.
Re: Rosie comment - She doesn’t have an anger problem - it’s frustration & passion. Plus, no armed guards. Her blog is a great place to get to know her as a real person.
Lopez - I’m not clear on the term “straw” - is that like the Wizard of Oz (no brain)? Ouch.
Sandy W. - There must be something about Midnight for you, Friend! (in case you check in)
I really have nothing to add to the breastfeeding conversation (no children) although I did stop to seriously consider if I could let someone else feed my baby (if I had one). Practically speaking, whatever is best for the baby is Right. Emotionally speaking, I’m not a big enough person that I wouldn’t be hurt & envious of that (what I perceive to be) bonding experience. Another one for the “to each their own” category.
One final thought on that … I applaud those women who are able to nurse babies separated from their mothers (in whatever circumstances) and would most definitely participate if I were in the position to do so.
I know that it’s a contradiction - for me, it’s not a bonding experience if it’s someone else’s baby I’m helping by nursing; but it is a bonding experience if it’s my baby w/someone else. (???) Well, I’m past that ever being an issue. Whew!
Lactating Man!?! That’s a whole other conversation! I do remember a news story about a family looking for a lactating roommate to provide for the 4 person family - that was different.
Winnie - Fish pedicure, Yes. Snake massage, NO. I haven’t heard of the Corona/egg facial here in Mexico City. Maybe here, they drink the Corona & use the egg !?!
Random thought: Eggs here in Mexico are not refrigerated. Either is most of the milk which comes in juice-type boxes. It’s the oddest thing to see in the grocery stores - piles and piles … unrefrigerated. Anyway.

“I did not and my children are very healthy and smart. This was not always mainstream.

Great points!

Beverly,
Don’t go calling me human, it might go to my head.
Strawman in this case- alleging I was putting words in rosie’s mouth and then making my point against the false words/point of view.
Except for what I would consider the hypocrisy, I don’t blame rosie for having armed guards. She’s rich, famous and has attracted a lot of attention for her views. There are a lot of real crazies running loose, she’s gotta protect her family.
Isn’t rosie suffering from depression, didn’t she admit so on the show, one time that sticks out in my mind was when she had that upside down hanging contraption. Depression is anger turned inwards so say the experts.
Last night there were over 100 messages, this morning 46.

“that just supports my point about women not supporting each other.”
For the record:
Man, woman, child, dog cat..If you say or do something I disagree with, I’m going to let you know. Sisterhood is all fine and good, but I won’t turn a blind eye to statements or actions I find reprehensible.
Do I think some of the criticism of TLB (EH) is excessive? Sometimes, but when you put yourself out there as a moral authority or a perfect person, people are going to look for your imperfections. I also think she gets back, what she puts out.
July 30th, 2008 at 9:39 am
DonnaJ-
Not speaking on behalf of Sandy, one option might be the Feedjit box on the right side of this page that lists where visitors are from. Considering it was late at night with only a few visitor/posters online it might have been an educated guess.
I would say nice meeting you but, as everyone knows, I’m Tim and you’re EH.
Another hour and 20 minutes until the show.

Winnie,
Just want to thank you for all the hard work you do to keep this site up and running. I know how challenging the last few weeks must have been. It’s hard enough reading it, I can’t imagine sifting through it. So thanks you!

Sometimes, but when you put yourself out there as a moral authority or a perfect person, people are going to look for your imperfections.
And the people(here) judging the people(eh) that judge, of course people(trolls) are going to look for their imperfections.
Sounds like all of us, (those here, eh, trolls) all share the same human frailties.

Winnie-
Okay. No more talk about cheesecake and steak&lobster dinners.

It’s the same same same to use the don’t judge judgmental people argument. I think that “turn the other cheek” is fine to begin with, but after a certain time it becomes “an eye for an eye”. Otherwise the most obnoxious, most vile, most judgmental person always wins. And we can’t have that, now, can we?

OK - Feedjit is very “big brother-ish” yet oddly captivating in a purely voyeuristic sense! Some of the terms googled to get here is pretty entertaining.
Winnie - I wholeheartedly second Rainlillie’s compliment … how you sit through these shows to bring us the recaps is mind-numbing to me (then there’s the whole moderating task …) !! Your efforts are appreciated and respected — and appreciated.
Michael - I won’t speak for Rosie but every one of my friends that are in the 42-48 age range are in this “I’m taking no $%^& from anyone!” It’s the strangest phenomena to me but we all agree that it’s not simply “mid-life” (I’m 45, Rosie is 45 or 46). She gets my respect for willingly putting herself out there for public criticism. I guess you ARE being pretty Strawman (your definition) about her which I suspect is your intended irony in #48. Very creative way to pick a “back & forth”. Your sense of humor may just grow on me :0
Using that same philosophy, I guess I have to respect EH for putting herself out there for public criticism, too. Darn! It’s soooo counter-intuitive. But there it is.

I haven’t watched the show in awhile, because I needed a break from Elisabeth, but I tuned in today because I wanted to see Tori Spelling. But that Tori Spelling interview was horrible. I could barely sit through the whole thing and it only lasted a few minutes. I have never seen such an unprofessional, badly executed interview before. The hosts of The View need to get it together.

I’m just tired of EH’s lies, and she is an enabler of her party. You really gotta be on crack if you think the Bush Administration has led our country down a righteous path. Both Bush & Cheney should be in prison. If they were anybody else, they would be in prison.

Wow! Did I read that benchwarmer Tim Hasselbeck didn’t make the draft and will be unemployed? What, he’s too old to be a benchwarmer?
He needs to enlist in the military and go to Iraq so he can keep Bitsy safe!
Does anyone remember some time ago when the icky Elisabeth offered some breast milk to an audience member? She said something like “here, want some?” DISGUSTING!!!!! She is really a disgrace to women and the women’s movement. Elisabeth Hasselbeck is abusing her role on that show on a daily basis. She is NOT QUALIFIED and is being OVERPAID!

Winnie!! you are the hardest woman working alive with the broom!! Had no clue of all the post since I was either sleeping or working..
Ok on that note..
Michael.. Of course you only agree with yourself.. thats the problem.. Thats why you like EHC. She is the same peep. I dont think EHC has hate in her heart.. no way but she is so judgemental to the death. She certainly helps peeps who agree with her. she is not selfish but has an agenda.
So say that Rosie got screwed in life due to childhood is rediculous. She certainly has issues from it… but all her statements that were lambasted in the media.. well hello.. she was rights. Administration is a crook..War was a fake.. blah blah.. You can try and through the statements out there generally.. but make some specific statements to you point and not statistics. .. lol bring it on boy.. i know you are relentless.
I’m just saying..

I hadn’t watched The View, for quite awhile,(due to schedule changes). When did it become the Elizabeth H Show? Is there no one who can tell her to tone it down? Is the show now her political dias from which to extoll her right wing agenda? And heaven help
anyone who disagrees, she rudely over rides
them to the point of shrieking! I admire Whoopie and Joys’ restraint. If the show continues, as it is, I will become a former watcher again and it won’t be because of scheduling problems. Barbara, where art thou?
