The View May 6th, 2009 Recap: Judy Scheindlin, Justin Chambers, Biz Stone and Evan Williams

by

justinchambers.jpgToday on the May 6, 2009 episode of The View, all five hosts were on the show. The first topic was how they went to the Time 100 dinner last night. I posted pictures of the event last night, so scroll down for last night’s post to see the photos. Michelle Obama spoke at the event. Bill Geddie was Barbara’s date. They showed photos of Elisabeth and Barbara shaking Michelle Obama’s hand. There was one mention of Michelle’s great speech and four to five mentions of how great she looked (including her arms, her waist, her back, etc). Elisabeth said that she and Michelle had stress between each other during the election time and although she had a private conversation with her on the phone after the election, it was great to see her and shake her hand. She said that it was a great moment to be able to do that post-election after all that has gone on. Oprah Winfrey toasted Barbara Walters as one of the most influential people in her life.

Sherri Shepherd was the only person dancing at the event during John Legend’s singing, even though John said “get up and dance.” Sherri grabbed some man and danced with him. Joy joked that she sat next to one of the Twitter guys and he was very brief, just like tweets. She also sat by the EP of Morning Joe. Barbara was sitting next to another Twitter guy. He doesn’t have a TV set or a car. She said that he is “not very advanced” and only likes to read and not watch TV. Sherri said that Jimmy Fallon made a joke about Michelle Obama that they are making a comic book where she is a superhero and is battling her arch enemy sleeves. She said that not every laughed at it. Barbara was sitting with a young woman who is the press secretary for Michelle Obama. Barbara wonders if comics are afraid of making jokes about the President and First Lady because they are afraid of being racist. Whoopi said that people aren’t sure how to make jokes about race. Joy said that the liberal comedians had a field day with how stupid President Bush was and the right wing comics need to come up with something. She said that Chris Rock should do some jokes about the Obamas.

In the next segment, Whoopi talked about kidzui, which is an internet search engine for children. It is safe and has lots of games and other things. It took her about five tries to get the spelling right. (it started as kidzu, then kidzui, etc).

Bristol Palin is speaking out on behalf of abstinence because it is the only 100% way to prevent pregnancy. Joy said that the moose is out of the barn. Whoopi said that she is glad that she is speaking out saying she should have done it differently. Barbara said we don’t know if her parents talked to her about abstinence or safe sex. Sherri said that she is glad Bristol came out saying that she loves her baby, but it is not an accessory and it is not an easy thing to deal with. Whoopi said it is more important how we respond to girls who get pregnant and 99% of the time kids are thrown out of the house and the parents don’t support them. Elisabeth said that her speaking out shows the tangible result of what can happen. Barbara still wants to know what Bristol’s parents told her. Whoopi said that she told her own kid everything, but it was not enough.

In the next segment, Biz Stone and Evan Williams, co-founders of Twitter appeared on the show. Sherri is live-twittering the segment. Biz said that it is not a social network, but an information network and you receive information in real-time that you want to get, whether from the View, CNN, or your mother. Barbara explained that it goes to lots of people and she can plug a product with it. (Thanks for that!) Biz said that it even saved a Berkeley student’s life in Egypt when he was arrested. He sent a tweet that he was arrested and the students that were following him got in touch with the head of Berkeley who worked with the consulate to get him released.

Joy asked him about how people use tweet and twittered and which is right. Biz said that twitter is a verb and it is a real word that means the sound a bird makes, but an individual message is a tweet, but he is fine with people used tweeting as a verb. Biz said that he has known Evan for years and blogging was a precursor to it. They wanted to create a new start-up. A friend of theirs, Jack Dorsey, an engineer, said that they should make something to deal with the fact that people often have to leave their computers and have “out“ messages, like “going to get coffee.” and have a way for people to continue communication away from their desks.

The company is not making money right now and they are value building. Barbara said that there are rumors that Apple, Google, and others want to buy it. They said Twitter is not for sale and the company is only two years old. Elisabeth told them to hold out to get more money. Whoopi complained about someone who opened a Twitter account in her name. Biz said that impersonation is against their policy. They are going to create verified accounts so there will be check marks to prove that a particular celebrity is who they say they are.

Judge Judy was on the show. Barbara asked what she thought about the fact that Bernie Madoff’s secretary did an article for Vanity Fair in which said that Madoff had “massages,” was very mean, and his wife saw the invoices. Judy said that is why people have confidentiality agreements, because you cannot profit from any confidential information. She got celebrity, even if she did not get money. She said that you should be nice to people so it doesn’t come back to bite you in the butt. Whoopi asked about doing a sex tape with your spouse, and Judy recommends never doing anything in life that you don’t want other people to see because your marriage could end in divorce.

Judy resents people who refer to those who made it as if they did something wrong in order to get rich. Joy joked she just wished people would just refer to her as rich. Whoopi agreed with Judy saying that she does not like how people refer to her like she is a smoker.

Judy, her kids, and grandkids are having an etiquette dinner to learn their manners.

Barbara asked Judy if she uses Twitter and Judy said, “I don’t go near that machine!,” sounding very proud of that fact.

The tease for the segment said that Judy wanted to talk about the Octomom and “something that happened last week that the media ignored.” Guess it is still being ignored.

Justin Chambers from Grey’s Anatomy appeared on the show. They had a big party for the 100th episode which airs tomorrow. Someone asked, “And you will all be back next year?” He said yes, but then later said, as far as he knows. He “doesn’t know” if there are any wedding bells for his character, but said that there will be a wedding between McDreamy and Meredith and “lots of twists and turns” in the episode. In real life he has been married 15 years and has five kids. His kids do not watch the show.

Elisabeth asked him what his “game plan” for teaching his kids about sex. He said that he wants to instill values in them and teach them that they don’t need to find value in themselves by being with someone else. They have had a sex talk with their oldest daughter. He said that kids are on loan and we have to do what we can.

Barbara asked him if the episode where Izzy had sex with a ghost was a sign that the show had jumped the shark. He said that she was having hallucinations from a tumor, so it wasn’t a ghost, and it ended up working well in the show.

  1. Roger from Ohio Says:

Elisabeth ALMOST apologized to Michelle Obama

and we just lost the signal for cable…. doesnt that just figure.

  2. Pepperbird Says:

Peeps this show is the most nauseating display of self-congratulations we have ever seen on this show. Where to start snarking?

    * EH bragging that she and Michelle Obama were in a feud “because of our positions” but have now “made up”

*One of the panelists (EH?) alleging that Oprah says that when she was “just starting out and unsure of herself” SHE IMITATED BARBARA WALTERS?

    Ugly, ugly egos.

  3. ds Says:

wow, that is just too nauseatingly offensive to watch. How dare EH even mention Mrs. Obama, after the horrible things she got away with saying about her. It will be a while before I will be able to tune in to this show again.

  4. Diane from N.J. Says:

    * EH bragging that she and Michelle Obama were in a feud “because of our positions” but have now “made up”

    I started out nauseous.

    Now I am furious.

MADE UP?? That implies that Michelle Obama did something wrong as well - and there was equal fault in the conflict. ARE YOU KIDDING ME HASSELBECK?

    NO NO NO.

  5. Pepperbird Says:

Barbara and Bitsy virtually mobbed Michelle Obama, forcing her to twist around so they could touch her. MO was gracious, they said. BaWa and Bitsy looked like idiots but as snobs they wanted some kind of picture with Michelle.

Later Whoopi and Barbara were photographed with Oprah. More slobbering snobbery from Barbara (take my picture! take my picture!), but probably Whoopi was just being cooperative.

  6. Stacee Says:

    Unbelievable.

I am certain FL Obama has more pressing issues to think about than some two bit talk show host. And for Bits to claim they were both involved in some “feud”? Get. Real.

  7. Pepperbird Says:

You’d think that by now Barbara would be used to being around celebrities and would not act like an awestruck fan.

Unless she does it to curry favor and massage egos. That says more about her than about the celebrities.

  8. Roger from Ohio Says:

Isnt it amazing how these “family value” people are saying that when a child gets pregnant, it has no reflection on the parent.

I wish they were honest and add to that statement….. when the parent is a republican.

  9. Roger from Ohio Says:

I was talking with this guy about twitter…. he said that in some 3rd world countries… they would use twitter to overthrow the government.

    good times.

  10. Pepperbird Says:

Why are they spending so much time on these guys?

  11. Roger from Ohio Says:

Did Elisabeth just have an orgasm when she asked Whoopi if she was going to twitter?

    what is wrong with her?!?

  12. FairyBerry20 Says:

It’s funny that bitsy thinks that her imagined fued held any weight during the election. Also didn’t she just make a snarky remark about Michelle Obama’s shoes the other day .

  13. Pepperbird Says:

Barbara is a hypocrit about Twitter. I have been watching her account. She has big gaps of time and even gaps of days before she twitters a new message. She had her Argentina trip tweets up there for days, and now she’s had her book tweet bragging up for awhile. She been using it mainly to advertise her appearances, shows, and book.

  14. Pepperbird Says:

Maybe Judge Judy can give Sherri some advice about the custody battle.

  15. Pepperbird Says:

Whoopi is dressed so plainly– and since she is sitting next to Joy, makes overdressed Joy look like a hooker today. (Sorry Rog!)

  16. Hallie Says:

#12 Yep. She and Great American Sean brought up FL MO’s athletic shoes to supposedly highlight the media’s bias in favor of Obama. Really no comparison to Palin’s wardrobe mess - but there you go.

  17. Roger from Ohio Says:

    #15 pepperbird–

Whoopi is dressed so plainly– and since she is sitting next to Joy, makes overdressed Joy look like a hooker today.

    are you sure??

I have never seen a hooker dressed like that…. most hookers that I have seen are wearing a skirt hiked up to here…. and a top that is cut down to there.

Joy is overdressed for a hooker…. and nothing against Joy…. but if she was dressed like that as a hooker…. she would be the last one picked.

  18. Mary Evans Says:

EH must have forgotten she designed tennis shoes for PUMA - an upscale company. What a hypocrite

  19. Roger from Ohio Says:

Im just glad that Joy wants me.

  20. mokka Says:

    * EH bragging that she and Michelle Obama were in a feud “because of our positions” but have now “made up”

FEUD?? Boy, is that little girl delusional! In order to have a feud, there has to be a back and forth between two people, like Rosie and Dumptruck. Bitsy was the ONLY one making nasty, hateful, desparaging remarks, while FL Michelle Obama went about her business ignoring this poor excuse for a human being.

  21. Roger from Ohio Says:

Isnt Grey’s Anatomy another ABC show?

Do they put in their contracts that they have to make an appearance on The View?

Id like to see some stats… but I bet at least 60% of their “celebrity” guests are from ABC.

  22. Mary Evans Says:

I emailed Larry King to ask EH tonight about her feud with Michelle Obama. ccnn.com/larryking

The survey on the most popular panel member is currently BW 11%, WG 33, JB 34, EH 18 (WTF), SS 4

  23. Pepperbird Says:

Rog, I’ll concede that if Joy were a hooker, she would be the most elegant one ever.

  24. mokka Says:

I don’t think Barbara does her own twittering. I think she has a Twitter maid.

  25. Stacee Says:

FairyBerry20 Says: ” Also didn’t she just make a snarky remark about Michelle Obama’s shoes the other day .”

MY RESPONSE: Oh that was all part of the feud! I’m sure FL Obama was going on different talk shows speculating on how much Bits spends on dresses, or calling her not fresh, or questioning her fist bumping. Ya know, since they were feuding and all.

Maybe FL Obama will now think twice before startin a feud with Bitsy.

Whew. Glad the feud is over!

  26. mokka Says:

The survey on the most popular panel member is currently BW 11%, WG 33, JB 34, EH 18 (WTF), SS 4

WTF is right! Then again, Tim has nothing better to do so…..

  27. Mary Evans Says:

SS twittered “It just hit me - Time just named Sherri Shepherd one of their 100 most influential people - I’m about to pass out! What a great pickup line”

  28. mokka Says:

Feud??? In order to have a feud, BOTH people have to make comments back and forth — like Rosie and Dumptruck. Bitsy is the only one who has made any nasty remarks, while FL Michelle Obama ignored her silly ass.

  29. Stacee Says:

I think since the whole Rosie/Bits blow up, Bits has illusions of grandeur.

Talk about a huge head. Wonder if she tried to get FL Obama to get her some water and a prenatal pill. Ya know, cuz Bits is so important. And on her 3rd pregnancy.

Oh and of course Bits would premptively try to smooth over her behavior at the Time party. Considering the pic of her fawning over FL Obama, she had to make up some imaginary “feud”. This way she can stay in SHannit-ea’s favor and maintain her Republican party cred.

  30. Stacee Says:

Mary Evans Says: ” I’m about to pass out! What a great pickup line” ”

    MY RESPONSE: Good grief

  31. Pepperbird Says:

#25 Yes Stacee I think EH desperately wants to be a Faux News pundit someday ’cause she thinks it would be a step up from the View.

  32. lynn c Says:

These women have no shame. There was no “feud” between FLMO and stupid cow EH….how dare she even suggest such a thing! There was only EH making ugly remarks about MO and BO! EH was one of the most vocal “mean girls” (Sarah Palin was also one) of the campaign….and really, EH influences which segment of our society? Who are the 18% who like EH the best?(#21, thanks for info) Like to see the stats
there, folks. Gads, these women must have chronic shoulder pain from patting themselves on the back so much….but props to Whoopi for resisting the Twitter craze and not letting SS and EH get her involved…

  33. lynn c Says:

Nothing wrong with Twitter, just liking Whoopi sticking to her guns.

  34. lurker315 Says:

Did Michelle Obama really give EH permission to refer to her by her first name? I can’t remember if EH referred to Laura Bush as Laura. I found that rather demeaning that she did not refer to her as MRS. Obama.

  35. Pepperbird Says:

Bitsy’s ego is out of control again; she is trying to invent some kind of relationship or tie to Mrs O just to get their names linked. Even if the tie has to be some kind of friction. Pathetic.

She probably fantasizes getting invited to the White House to show that MO has no “hard feelings” and that they have “made up”.

  36. Hallie Says:

Show today seemed ripe for an SNL skit. Is it live this Sat.? I believe Joy said it best when she called Bitsy delusional back during the campaign. It’s Bitsy World and Bitsy is the only inhabitant.

  37. msroncon Says:

I cannot believe that they did not mention Dom DeLouise passing away.

They were so busy talking about how influential they are that they could not acknowledge a great comedian.

I also though Whoopie was very rude to the Twitter guys. Who does she think she is, acting like what they do is insignificant, but what she does is worthwhile.

    I’m really irritated!!

  38. Mary Evans Says:

I encourage those that were offended by EH to email LKL. If he gets enough about this he might just ask her and we can all see her head explode.

  39. Pepperbird Says:

#32 Hallie An SNL skit–what a good idea. At times I thought they were already parodying themselves today. It’s like Barbara’s and Bitsy’s egos have no shame.

And Barbara inviting Bill Geddie as her date was transparent as an attempt to boost his ego even though he was not a panelist. She’s obviously implying that he is a hidden panelist, directing their comments like a puppeteer.

  40. NOTIMPRESSED Says:

Ya… Fued my ass…all she ever did was insult FL Michelle in her speech at the GOP convention…and she thought she was so dam smug with Cindy McCain standing next to her.
They were all honored as “influential” people? Not in my lifetime!!!!

Love Judge Judy…saw her in Naples at a Barnes and Noble..she was very cordial and
    pleasant to talk to.

Switched to Bonnie Hunt I can only tolerate
    so much per day.

  41. lurker315 Says:

Mary - I just emailed Larry King re EH. In the space where they asked how long you’ve been watching Larry, I said since 1959 in Miami. He used to deejay Jr. High dances, if I remember correctly.

Hope he picks one of our questions.

  42. Pepperbird Says:

Further thought on Bitsy wanting to be a Faux News pundit:

By appearing on Hannity Bitsy thinks she is working her way into Hannity’s show so she can be like Joy Behar, who has been invitd to host LKL so often. Bitsy must be seethig with jealousy, and wants to be Hannity’s substitute–or even a LKL guest host herself!!

  43. tracy Says:

I just sent Larry anemail questionfor tonight basically asking EH how it feels to be forgiven by a woman she so relentlessly trased. I think everyone should send emails in regard to this imagined “fued” EH is trying to claim happend. We need to flood that email so that she has to be asked about it.

  44. Donna Says:

The panel are the most egotistical people I have ever seen. I had stopped watching all together, but tuned in this week just in time to hear their yapping. I caught the caller last night that said it is the Elizabeth show these days. Boy, is that the truth!! Politics aside, she cannot carry the duties she has, let alone be the star of the show. She comes off dense.

  45. Stacee Says:

Well I just emailed a question to Larry King as well. It was in regard to the imaginary feud.
Thanks for the encouragement, Mary Evans.

  46. May Says:

The ladies are full of themselves after the “Time” party. Guess I’d brag and bray too if they chose me..:D
I like Judge Judy even if she can be a meanie.I especially liked it today when she pooh poohed EH after EH crowed that Maddoff’s secretary should not have told of his misdoings morally. Judge Judy said “that’s beside the point!” Heh heh! AT the end EH made it a point to shake Judge Judy’s hand so we of the audience could see that EH is on excellent terms with her.
EH you are not important enough for the First Lady to even consider you being here on the planet so stifle!

  47. Mary Evans Says:

Thats great lurker315 - the idea to email LKL is gaining a little momentum on Twop too.

  48. berndoubt Says:

#33, “I cannot believe that they did not mention Dom DeLouise passing away.

They were so busy talking about how influential they are that they could not acknowledge a great comedian.”

Yeah, they did, yesterday at the end of the show as the news was breaking.

  49. DiannaC Says:

I wonder if EH has ever had a CAT Scan?

There is no FEUD with FL Obama! Her husband IS the President — just accept it EH!

I am sure that that she couldn’t care less about EH’s opinions, statements, etc.
Afterall Mrs. Obama does have BA in Sociology — she knows what EH is all about.

  50. Diane from N.J. Says:

    Wise Mary Evans says:

“I encourage those that were offended by EH to email LKL. If he gets enough about this he might just ask her and we can all see her head explode.”

Me too, I just emailed Larry King Live.

  51. Hallie Says:

I know this is hardly original but doesn’t this seem to describe EH to a “T”?
“Narcissistic personality disorder is a condition characterized by an inflated sense of self-importance, need for admiration, extreme self-involvement, and lack of empathy for others. Individuals with this disorder are usually arrogantly self-assured and confident. They expect to be noticed as superior. Many highly successful individuals might be considered narcissistic. However, this disorder is only diagnosed when these behaviors become persistent and very disabling or distressing.”

  52. Pepperbird Says:

#45 Agreed Hallie it soes sound like EH. BaWa is getting there too in my opinion.

  53. ds Says:

#34 Mary Evans, I emailed LKL, thank you for the suggestion. But I won’t be watching, as I cannot stand the sight of her.

Why is it that, except on this blog, EH is never held accountable or called out for her gaffes? If it were any other celebrity, there would be such a public outcry and great demand for them to be fired, that they would at least be humiliated into stepping forward with a public apology and an admission of lying about what actually happened. (Mrs. Obama had no role in this made up “feud”). Maybe it’s better this way, though, because if anyone dared to call her out on anything (Larry King won’t either, I bet), the public outcry would be against the “bullies” beating up on dear, sweet Elisabeth.

  54. Pepperbird Says:

I’m worried a little that LK is such a big friend of the View and BaWa that he is going to treat EH with kid gloves and flatter her or put her in a favorable light. If so I hope it backfires!

  55. Pepperbird Says:

#47 ds, the TwoP posters hold the same opinions about her, and they also snark Sherri a lot–well all of the panelists actually.

I think I am going to try the Yakety Yak site to see if they have a clip of the nauseating self-congrats of today’s show. I want to hear exactly what EH said again about Mrs. Obama.

  56. Pepperbird Says:

They don’t have any posts yet of today’s View. Just Ellen clips and yesterday’s View.

  57. Stacee Says:

Okay, can you all imagine how dumb Joy would have looked if she had said there was some feud between she and FL Laura Bush? I mean, really…

ASnd why did the other hosts not call Bits out and question this supposed feud issue? WTF is the matter with them?

  58. ds Says:

#49 Pepper, thank you for telling me that. I’ve tried to get on TwoP, but I could never see where the View is being discussed there.

  59. Roger from Ohio Says:

    #33 msroncon–

cannot believe that they did not mention Dom DeLouise passing away.

Joy announced it yesterday…. it was toward the end of the show. She was very respectful.

  60. dVd Says:

I can NEVER EVER forgive anyone who did all they could to scare people into believing the Obama’s “palled around with terrorists.” Sickening.

EH is lucky FL Michelle is kind to her. Who’s the better person?

  61. Roger from Ohio Says:

Here is the question that I sent to LKL…. maybe it will be picked

    Elisabeth–

It seems to me as a fan of The View, that the “feud” with Michelle Obama that you spoke about was one sided.

What was said that helped you to bring the feud to an end?

  62. Mary Evans Says:

Yep, BW said they were chosen for being influential due to SS’s boobies (girls) bouncing merrily around when she was the only fucking one dancing last night. Well, except for the poor schmuck forced into dancing with her. BW did not look too happy.

  63. Pepperbird Says:

Well I haven’t been able to see the actual clip yet of what Bitsy said, but on another blog they are quoting her as saying there was “stress” and “tension” between herself and “Michelle” but after a “private” phone conversation after the election it was over.

Another poster pointed out that yesterday Bits tried to get notoriety by implying she and Trump were sparring, but she was too scared of him in person to push it much. So it fell flat, and no one noticed her efforts.

  64. Pepperbird Says:

So on LKL if Bitsy fixates on the word “feud” with Mrs. Obama and argues that she didn’t use that word, she is probably right, but she certainly IMPLIED that there was a feud (”tension” and “stress”).

Am still wanting to see the actual clip again.

  65. Mary Evans Says:

I think Larry’s producers are more on the ball than say, well, The Views. So they will take a look at the clip and take a question that more accurately reflects the language used.

Occurred to me they should not have even done the Miss Calif topic. None of them were aware she was topless - against the pagent rules. She was NOT modeling swimsuits or lingerie as they speculated since they weren’t there and didn’t know. LOL

  66. Sunny Says:

#55 Rog and all: LKL question you suggest - it is too easy for EH to say convo was private, etc. i think question needs to be specific:

“Is the tension between you and MO that you referred to this morning because you (EH) said some very uncomplimentary things about MO when you made a speech at a function hosted by Cindy McCain during the Republican convention last September?”

Smoke her out…don’t leave her any room to hide from the truth…and in the process, make it very clear to everyone listening/watching what really went down.

EH’s comments re phone convo with MO are all over the blogosphere this morning. Most people are pissed off she is trying to portray the “tension” with MO as a two-way feud. But many people don’t know the source of the real tension - ie EH’s comments at the luncheon - so if asking question to LKL, use the opportunity to clarify and inform everyone what EH did.

  67. Pepperbird Says:

#60 good post, Sunny. BG and Bitsy are probably trying to spin the controversy to Bitsy’s benefit as we speak….

  68. Pepperbird Says:

Surely Mrs. Obama will wisely keep silent so as not to give Bits any credibility….

  69. Sunny Says:

i’ve also emailed and suggested LKL ask:

Since the tension between Elisabeth and Mrs. Obama has been addressed, do Elisabeth and Mrs. Obama now enjoy a close personal relationship, have regular phone calls, etc.?

  70. Joey Says:

I believe that when Rosie was on The View she was picked as one of the most influential people internationally (I can’t remember the magazine) for that year. I do remember that BW complained about the list including entertainers but no journalists…I felt she was putting down Rosie having been picked because she was just a comedian. Funny how things change.

Can anyone fill in the blanks?

I also am puzzled as to how a show with three comedians could be so lacking in humour.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful day and can get over the fact that somehow EH managed to make a complete fool of herself over the issue of her having bad-mouthed MO during the election campaign(your stunningly classy and beautiful First Lady).

I simply could not make it through the rest of the show…

  71. Sunny Says:

    here’s another question for LKL:
has Elisabeth been invited to the White House to visit with the Obamas?

  72. Sandy Says:

    Thanks for the recap Winnie,

I missed the first 10 min of the show so
I didn’t hear the conversation concerning First Lady Obama and the Time 100 dinner.
So my comment about that is based on Winnie’s recap.

Elisabeth said that she and Michelle had stress between each other during the election time and although she had a private conversation with her on the phone after the election, it was great to see her and shake her hand.

I always felt that Elisabeth owed Michelle Obama a personal apology concerning things she said at the Republican convention.
I’m sure that probably happened in their phone conversation,
For that I give Elisabeth credit, for that is what she should have done.

Even though it took Whoopi a few attempts to get kudzui right, I was glad she mentioned it. I wasn’t aware of it. I have young grandchildren and always worry about them when on the internet.

I am not a twitter person, and I really didn’t learn much from the gentlemen from there.
Although it was an interesting story about the Berkeley student in Egypt.

Bristol Palin, I hope that she can have some influence among teens and safe sexual practices.

    I enjoyed seeing Judge Judy.

  73. ShannonP Says:

“EH’s comments re phone convo with MO are all over the blogosphere this morning.”

To know that, wouldn’t you have to go in search of it? What would be the point of that?
Elisabeth doesn’t care if you like her or not, she cares that you discuss her. The View doesn’t care if you like her or not, they care that she keeps them the center of attention and creates controversy and people eat it up.

  74. Pepperbird Says:

#67 ShannonP I have been on a few blogs today and the reaction has been BLISTERING. We are being fairly mild on this site so far.

  75. Mary Evans Says:

Other than TWOP what other blogs are chatting about this? Tried to google.

  76. Roger from Ohio Says:

Rosie is on the Hill trying to get legislation for foster care mentors.

They are interviewing her on MSNBC with Senator Landrieu (D) from Louisiana

Isnt that where Rosie’s wife and her mother in law is from?

  77. Hallie Says:

Is Bitsy really so clueless or delusional to think that she can say things in one venue that won’t affect people’s perceptions of her in another venue? When she’s on Hannity or at the RNC or stumping for Palin does she believe that she can say things that the View audience will never be made aware of? Smacks of Geddie’s influence. The hypocrisy reeks.

  78. Danielle Says:

I just want someone to email LKL via twitter or whatever to ask about the strident hypocrisy of EH and her fellow right wingers. Obviously, God did not approve Klannity, Limbaugh and the wretched rest of their message.

  79. ShannonP Says:

“#67 ShannonP I have been on a few blogs today and the reaction has been BLISTERING. We are being fairly mild on this site so far.”

Thats the point I was making Pepperbird…you spent time of your day searching it out, discussing it. That validates her exsistence. The View supposedly has higher ratings than ever this year. Do you think that is because the hosts are enjoyable and likeable personalities? That the topics are educational or interesting? No…it’s because they are controversial, create drama and people love to hate them almost to a level of obsession it seems for a few people. Otherwise they’d just switch the channel and move on to more rewarding things and The View would fade out.

  80. Pepperbird Says:

#69 Mary Evans, I wasn’t very clear in the way I expressed that. I have been on several blogs (Yakety, TWoP and this one) and the comments I have seen about it were blistering on TWoP. If Yakety would ever update its clips, I am sure they would probably notice it too.

  81. Pepperbird Says:

Oops I mean Mary Evans #75 in my answer #80.

  82. marilyn Says:

    Roger from Ohio Says:

“Id like to see some stats… but I bet at least 60% of their “celebrity” guests are from ABC.”

    response:

Where is Kelly today? She would have zapped those stats to Roger in a wink.

  83. marilyn Says:

    ABOUT TWOP:
I am with ds, about not knowing how to get to the blog of the view, AFTER, I get to TWOP.

    Can anyone help us?

  84. Pepperbird Says:

#79 Well ShannonP I understand your point of course. But if we never put her feet to the fire when she is on LKL away from the overprotection of BaWa and Bill Geddie, she will keep saying garbage on national TV just to boost her ego.

You are right; we are giving her attention and one way to handle it is to ignore her. But when she is away from the View, and if LK has the guts to ask her and not protect her, maybe she will flop around like a flounder and be a laughingstock to a wider audience. The only other place she dares to appear besides the View is Faux News, where she is protected also.

  85. Mary Evans Says:

Thanks Pepper! When I did google lots of titles “Elisabeth Hasselbeck - Not Paying Attention to My Pregnancy.” From a People article I think. I didn’t want to go there. I just want her off The View.

But she (and her family) and The View should be delighted with that kind of PR. Whatever she has to do to stay on The View and in the news as well as promote her ghost written book is fine with her.

  86. Pepperbird Says:

#83 Hi Marilyn and ds: I reach it by clicking TWoP Forums › Other TV Shows › Talk Shows I believe.

  87. Mary Evans Says:

    Just go to televisionwithoutpity.com

    clink on Forums

    The choose Talk Shows

It’s very interesting although they are also very strict there

  88. marilyn Says:

    EH and MO last night:
I watched the view this morning. I also have it on DVR. I will go and look at the segment with EH again. You know; the one where she is humble and stammering about her wonderful born again experience with MO, last night.

Seriously folks, she did try.I did not hear the word “feud.”

Don’t forget : bad publicity is better than no publicity.

  89. NanW. Says:

#83 marilyn, to get to the area you want….when you are on twop, go to the icon marked ” Forums”, then it will bring up a list and go to “Talk Shows” , this will bring up a list also. You will need to scroll down a bit and it is under “Admit, it. You can’t stand the View”

  90. marilyn Says:

    #79 ShannonP

    ITA

  91. Mary Evans Says:

It is true that EH did not use the word feud. But imo she implied it.

MO has never said anything about EH. EH said awful, untrue things about them. Even about the fist bump thing being a terrorist fist bump. When Michelle co-hosted she was very, very gracious to EH, especially as a mother.
Then EH outs her at the RNC. Several times on Hannity. Just THIS week on Hannity. Michelle did, and will, take the highroad with Elisabitch.

To even suggest that there was stress between them is outrageous. When MO never said a word and EH was blabbering every chance she could get.

  92. Stacee Says:

FROM RECAP: “Elisabeth said that she and Michelle had stress between each other during the election time and although she had a private conversation with her on the phone after the election, it was great to see her and shake her hand. ”

MY RESPONSE: Stress between each other? What does she mean by that? Is she saying Michelle has been stressed? If so, in what way? I’ve noticed that she gets all nasty when she discusses the Obamas on tv. Has the First Lady done so as well?

And if anyone really thinks Bits will stop with her nastyness towards them now, well, I have a bridge I’d like to sell you. Besides, her BF SHannit-ea wouldn’t like that.

I don’t think there is any stress between them; I think Bits is still a bitter twit because her candidate/team LOST and she can’t stand it. The hard feelings had nothing to do with the First Lady, it had everythng to do with Bits and her nasty, hateful behavior. She had no business visiting that silly nonsense upon First Lady Michelle.

  93. Stacee Says:

Mary Evans Says: “When Michelle co-hosted she was very, very gracious to EH, especially as a mother.”

MY RESPONSE: And later that night, didn’t Bits go on Hannity and say something snipey about Michelle Obama?

  94. Stacee Says:

I love TwoP. So many good comments from some incredibly funny commentators. Here’s one:

Also, Bitsy, I really, really hate listening to your screeching, whiny voice, and why I continue to watch this show is something I will have to take up with a shrink. My bad, for sure. I guess this means we’re having a feud.

    LMAO!!!! :-D

  95. Elsie Says:

After the ’split/screen’ Ro/EH feud, remember?, eh said that over the weekend they were ‘in communication a lot [sic]‘. ro said they didn’t talk, but that eh talked w/Kelly. Sooo, the ‘private’ phone convo? I dunno!

  96. kellyjo Says:

This “feud” has been totally blown out of porportion. Read Winnie’s recap–that’s what it’s here for.

She didn’t use the word feud. She and Michelle had stress between each other during the election. She had a private phone call with Michelle after the election. It was great to see her and shake her hand.

I emailed Larry King telling him to take emails regarding this subject with a grain of salt—consider the source. People who dislike EH will show their dislike by extreme exaggeration in anything they have to say about her.

  97. Diane from N.J. Says:

kellyjo - You are poorly informed.

The above discussion centers not around today’s View show, but what transpired last year, that resulted in today’s on-air remarks from Hasselbeck from which she is clearly attempting to dodge responsibility. (whereas the Republicans are the party of personal responsibility) Namely Elizabeth Hasselbeck’s hosting an RNC luncheon for Cindy MCain last September and the horrible, sleazy, cheap shot, unprofessional remarks she made about Michelle Obama.

There were strong stories circulating in the press, just after the election, that Barbara Walters was also horrified by Hasselebck’s incredibly unprofessional action , thus creating a strong scenario that celebrities and elected officials would certainly be hesitant to make appearancers in the future on The View.

It is the professional credo in show business, that no matter whom, as an employee of the show you do not discuss backstage behavior.

Anybody been noticing that The View’s guest appearances by anybody is been dwindling…?

  98. Stacee Says:

#95, Exactly what I was thinking Elsie.

  99. kaytee Says:

So Kellyjo, do you think EH and MO had “stress between them”? Because I don’t think MO stressed about EH at all. She has probably never mentioned her name! But EH surely has stressed and continues to stress about MO!!

Rosie was on Time’s most influential list in 2007…

  103. Mary Evans Says:

Yes, EH did go on Hannity on 6/19/08. Go to Foxnews and put Hasselbeck for video/transcript video/transcript. Sorry - can’t cut and paste

EH “Michelle and I spent the majority of our morning meeting together talking…I mean, I definitely brought up a few things I could ssee made her uncomfortable…I asked her - you - we’re talking about the quote that was in the NYP, about the Jeffrey Dahmer quote I threw out one day and where it came from….and I let her kow. I said look, it was in reference to Reverend Wright…and I could sense in the dressing room that, you know, there was a little bit of tension when that came out…………….”

  104. Joey Says:

kellyjo: Don’t assume to know wether or not we are exaggerating…I continue to believe, as many of us do, that EH is a poor fit for the show and a sorry representation of her demographic. There are so many wise intelligent, reasonable, well-educated women in the world…so why her?

    Well said Diane and Roger…

  105. Diane from N.J. Says:

Clink on my pink name to see the video of E. Hasselbeck at the RNC luncheon last September.

    This is a must see.

And for my money, next to Hasslebecks’ fall ‘08 insistent shrieks to Whoopi Goldberg about the Rev Wright and the ‘black experience’ in church….for my money - this RNC luncheon video is the VERY WORST of Hasselbeck that REVEALS the true ugliness of her character - - that all the lip gloss, spray tan, and righteous Christian crosses around her neck can, never, never hide.

  106. Hallie Says:

    # 92. You’re lost. You stumbled onto the wrong blog. After the w’s just type in fox then news then dot then com and you’ll be in more familiar territory. Safe trip.

  108. Diane from N.J. Says:

    Good one Hallie.

  109. Diane from N.J. Says:

For the story that B Walters may have possibly been upset with Hasslebeck for her Sept. ‘08 RNC luncheon remarks about Michelle Obama.

  110. Stacee Says:

“EH “Michelle and I spent the majority of our morning meeting together talking…I mean, I definitely brought up a few things I could see made her uncomfortable…I asked her - you - we’re talking about the quote that was in the NYP, about the Jeffrey Dahmer quote I threw out one day and where it came from…. and I let her know. I said look, it was in reference to Reverend Wright…and I could sense in the dressing room that, you know, there was a little bit of tension when that came out…………….””

MY RESPONSE: WTF??? She asked her…then let her know….
    Which was it?
I bet IF that conversation happened, it was probably as confusing as hell to Michelle Obama.
Why was it necessary for Bits to even relay that? What was her deal?

Ya know, there is such thing as grace and class. Notwithstanding her daughter, Bits has neither.

And they spent the majority of their morning meeting talking…ummmm…what else were they supposed to do, play hopscotch? Sew doilies? Peel potatoes?

And someone mentioned it upthread (I think Mary Evans?) and I will have to agree; Bits comes across as narcissistic.

  111. NanW. Says:

DianeNJ, I clinked your link and this is what came up on the Huffpo site, “This video has been removed due to terms of use violation”. Think Arianna’s BFF, BW got her to remove it? Too many of BW’s friends are out to protect and promote her protege. Just like Mayor Bloomberg nominating them for that bogus award the other night. Money talks.

  112. NanW. Says:

Stacee, I find that kind of confusion in every sound bite from EH. Just really listen(or try to!) her sometime, she stammers, hmmms and haws over and over again. She can rarely get out a concise thought. And that is because she is fed her lines from BG and SH.

  113. ShannonP Says:

    Three thoughts on today’s show:

How they said Oprah used to immitate BW all the time in the beginning of her career with the hand to chin thing and that’s how she got the job: Is that what Elisabeth is doing all the time when she does it?

I do think that in Elisabeth’s head she has an inflated view of herself and the importance of her interactions with Michelle Obama. I think she was trying to recreate a Barbara/Donald moment. I don’t think MO gave up one iota of lost sleep to Elisabeth’s drummed up “tension”

I think all the twitter stuff is lame, especially getting them at the table on their phones and I think, like I said before, that they are paid to do it in some way.

  114. Mary Evans Says:

The tape of EH crying on BW’s lap is MIA too.

  115. Hallie Says:

Thanks, Diane. I know we’re not supposed to feed them (trolls), but sometimes they’re just so pitiful you just have to throw them a scrap.

Great comment ShannonP about the hand to chin thing. So that’s where EH gets it from - Oprah imitating BaWa, makes perfect sense now.

  116. Roger from Ohio Says:

    #111 NanW–

DianeNJ, I clinked your link and this is what came up on the Huffpo site, “This video has been removed due to terms of use violation”. Think Arianna’s BFF, BW got her to remove it?

No NanW I dont think that is the case…. this video was posted to youtube by CSPAN…. it was linked to Huffington Post.
It was removed because of the “terms of use” between youtube and CSPAN.

The link is dead, but the story is still good…. the video might be able to be seen at the CSPAN site, but I didnt check.

Just wanted to clear that up.

  117. Rachel Says:

Obviously Bitsy is going on LKL to pimp her book. We should all email questioning her assertion that celiac disease is genetic. If so, then why doesn’t some other member of her family have it? Surely her grandmother or some other relative would have heard about someone in the extended family if nobody in the immediate family had it.

IMO she has lied about having the condition and uses that diet for weight control. She obsesses about weight and probably had BULEMIA or ANOREXIA instead. How could she have played softball or even gotten through college if she was as ill as she says? Someone should do a TIMELINE comparing what she says to actual things she was doing. Even though she’s pushing thirty, Bitsy has been married, had three children, and Survivor before that so when was it that she was so sick? PLOY FOR SYMPATHY and attempt to play victim so she can make millions selling her book.

I hate the picture on the book and can’t imagine anyone buying it.

She was ruder than ever today. She interrupts the guests when they’re talking and the other co-hosts when they’re in the middle of asking a question or making a comment.

IMO Elisabeth Hasselbeck has permanent brain damage from an eating disorder and her near starvation when she was on “Survivor.”

Too bad Judge Judy didn’t invite Sherry to her etiquette dinner. I think she was giving her a big hint when she said she was tired of people grabbing HER BREAD or drinking from HER WATER GLASS.

Barbara is palsy-walsy with Judge Judy and Cindy Adams. They all cruised together a year or so ago on Judy’s yacht. I bet Judge Judy gets an earful from Babs about all of them but especially Sherry behind the scenes.

  118. Rachel Says:

At the RNC luncheon, Bitsy told the audience in a very snively, disparaging tone of voice that Cindy McCain arrived at “The View” all fresh and ready UNLIKE MICHELLE OBAMA who had a list of forbidden topics with her. She was almost hissing with delight as she said that and I couldn’t believe it. The implication clearly was that Michelle Obama must have just rolled out of bed and showed up a dirty mess and needed the works in order to be presentable for airtime. That MO had a list of forbidden topics didn’t surprise me but that Elisabeth was stupid enough to tell the entire group that when she knew it was being recorded was. I hope her contract is not renewed and am sick and tired of hearing about her body and pregnancy. She mentioned being pregnant AGAIN TODAY! EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!

  119. Rachel Says:

If Barbara Walters was such a role model for Oprah Winfrey, why didn’t Oprah invite her to that luncheon she had honoring influential women. I think it was several years ago and Oprah got a lot of criticism and was accused of racism as there were no white women there….only blacks.

  120. Linda Says:

EH stated on LKL that she was against National Health Care…but gave no reason…I just emailed LKL to ask her what specifically she would propose (as a Republican) to help the millions of uninsured Americans.
Either the ? won’t be asked or she will have no answer (typical)This issue is important to me b/c my son is a type 1 diabetic, and insurance is an ongoing concern.

  121. Diane from N.J. Says:

Thx Roger for clarifying that about the Video.

  122. June Says:

    Hey all,
Still happily not watching the show. Wish you all happy healthy spring and summer- enjoy!

  123. Rachel Says:

I just emailed LKL with the question: Who else in your family has celiac disease?

  124. MiamiVision Says:

    marilyn, ds and anyone else….

when you get to television without pity - go to talk shows and look for “Admit it, you can’t stand The View”

or click on my pink name IF it comes up…

  125. MiamiVision Says:

as for the troll - need I remind EVERYone to ignore, ignore, ignore?!?! *chuckles*

  126. ds Says:

Thanks, Pepper, Mary Evans and Miami for the TWOP info. And Whoa, I agree with those who said things are mild here in comparison. No wonder trolls pop in here now and then, they would get massacred over there.

To all those who said this was being made too much of and blown out of proportion. I can see how you might think that, but please keep in mind as you think that (as Diane explained it so well), it’s not just about today. Also, please keep in mind that this is not Elisabeth and Paris Hilton we are talking about.

  127. Roger from Ohio Says:

    #126 ds–

Also, please keep in mind that this is not Elisabeth and Paris Hilton we are talking about.

It really is a shame that it isnt Paris Hilton that Elisabeth is “feuding” with. Paris would rip her up and toss her aside…. then go back for more.

Michelle Obama will not even think twice about this.

  128. ds Says:

    #127 Roger, LOL!

  129. Pepperbird Says:

Yakety Yak has now posted clips of today’s View show. There are comments–most from outside the USA–and many are disparaging of Elisabeth’s comments about Mrs. Obama.

  130. Mary Evans Says:

EH says The View talks about politics, motherhood and parenting. I’ll go for politics but the next 2 would be sex surveys and AI/DWTS.

  131. kellyjo Says:

Congratulations to Elisabeth. She did an excellent interview on LKL tonight. She stood up to each and every question with poise, determination, humor and sincerity.

She was especially passionate in her answer about Miss California, indicating her sincere desire for each of us to be able to speak our minds and not be disparaged for it.

She explained her celiac disease with wisdom and intelligence. I hope she sells many, many books from this interview.

Elisabeth looked absolutely beautiful and spoke vividly and eloquently.

Larry was a real gentleman to Elisabeth.

    Troll-jo

  132. May Says:

Just saw LKL and Miss Priss Know it all. Every other word to Lar was a shouted “LOOK!” to most things he brought up. Those glisening chops of hers looked like they had a fattening agent on them as they went a mile a minute defending everything repugnant! Ga-aa. Can’t believe I sat through that.
Must say she did a good job of talking about celiac disease. It might help someone along the way. She snidely dissed the drs that said she had something else, calling it BS.
Had to laugh when they showed Kristin, of SNL, playing EH with all her snippyness.
EH pasted a phony smile on and said she admired “her chops” with a toss of her bleached head but looked like she was inwardly seething. JMHO

  133. Mary Evans Says:

See post 103 for EH’s take on being backstage with MO before she co-hosted on TV - but tonight she says that it was lovely backstage, they had a good discussion.

EH says she phoned MO during the election process but this morning she said after the election.

She says Bristol Palin is a perfect choice for abstinence. It’s the radical leftists laughing. Teens are witnessing what she is going through. Yes - living at home, traveling and being paid for having the baby, telling Greta Van Sustren abstinence doesn’t always work.

I thought she actually sounded like Ann Coulter at times - her voice. And we all know she does a lot of research.

“EH was especially passionate in her answer about Miss California, indicating her sincere desire for each of us to be able to speak our minds and not be disparaged for it”.

MY RESPONSE: EH rarely (if ever) gives ANYONE on The View (co-hosts/guests) the opportunity to “speak their minds”. She constantly interrupts whomever is speaking, responds to questions that are not addressed to her - even those addressed DIRECTLY to someone else. I always hear her voice in the background. She cannot keep her mouth shut to save her life!

“Larry King was a real gentleman with EH”.

MY RESPONSE: LH is really a long-time close friend of Barbara Walters. He would never run the risk of offend Elizabeth!

I like LH, but doesn’t ask “challenging” questions.

  135. Mary Evans Says:

DiannaC - ITA. In addition I don’t think LK would put Michelle Obama in the bad light that EH has consistently tried to do by her insinuations, timelines and flat out disrepect.

  136. Mary Evans Says:

Winnie tweeted “was EH tearing up watching a clip of Elizabeth Edwards on Oprah?”

Something happened there, I’ve never seen EH sensitive before. She was really touched. By a leftist, to boot.

EH also said EE was going to be on The View next week. OMG Wonder if SS will have to take a day off and walk the street of NYC.

  137. DiannaC Says:

    #35 Mary Evans

    I agree.

Actually, EH is more civil (not much) in an one-on-one interview where the total spotlight is on her.

On The View, she is competition with EVERYONE for attention and to be heard.

I will speak, listen to me, hear me, look at me, believe me, hug me, ask me. Don’t ask me — it doesn’t matter, I will answer anyway!

  138. Manny Says:

It’s actually true that Oprah used to immitate BW when she started out. She admitted this to BW back in 2004 when BW was on talking about 25 years on 20/20. Which by the way was a riviting hour showing some of BW’s most intense interviews of the past. Interesting to see how taudry and egotistical shes become!

  139. marthe Says:

As I recall it, bits had yet another breakdown when Ms. Obama was there. She started crying about leaving her children behind and Michelle was very comforting. Which is part of why it so infuriates people that she then trashed Ms. obama.

My submitted question would have been: Do you let your children eat peanut butter or is that too much of a slippery slope?

  140. Mary Evans Says:

I think it was on Hannity that EH said when she was in college (yes, yes, Boston University) that she was in the infirmary practically on her death bed, and Hannity jumped in with her parents and Tim hovering around her.

Believe me, when I was in college in the infirmary my parents would have put me in a hospital the next day.

What crap she is putting out there.

I’m beginning to wonder, in addition to the pain and bloating, is there diarrea with Celiac?

  141. marthe Says:

Statistically, 1 out of 1000 sufferers also develop diarrhea of the mouth.

  142. Mary Evans Says:

    Hilarious marthe!

Seriously, she should be upfront with the symptoms for an adult, a child. Benenfits to ADD and autistic children. Instead she says it is a healthy diet (no problem there) controls weight (problem there), and especially infertility etc.

How many children do you have? At 31 years old. Step ages 2/2/2? Diagnosed yourself 10 years ago, Dr Green confirmed in 2005?

I am curious why Dr Greene was not on The View promoting this book, or LKL or why she is not (yet?) booked on Oprah. Now that would be a disappointment - and slight to Dr Oz.

If 1 in 133 have it then it is serious yet she has not (yet)become the spokesperson.

I always sat, it is because of her inconsistency and credibily.

EH stop talking about “radical leftists laughing” when you’re really on to promote a serious health issue.

  143. Pepperbird Says:

During the SNL clip, Bitsy kept a smile pasted on her face in the LKL interview, but she was controlling herself somewhat rigidly. Then to confirm my impression, she made a crack about “being glad that a man doesn’t play me”–a slap to Joy and her impersonator on SNL.

I think she contradicted herself about having a wonderful happy backstage experience when Michelle Obama was on the program. Hasn’t she claimed elsewhere that it was not pleasant?

And when LK probed about whether celiac disease was hereditary, Bits said “I have the gene” and agreed she would get her children tested, but I didn’t hear her say that anyone else in her own family or in her family with Tim had developed or suffered symptoms. For me, that omission completely undercut her credibility of any “hereditary” aspect of the disease in her genetic lines.

  144. Pepperbird Says:

Also annoying was her hard sell of the book for people who do NOT have the disease, but somehow “would feel so healthy” if they would still follow her book and suggestions.

    Buh?

  145. kellyjo Says:

Just watched Rosie on Greta–yes Fox News. Rosie appeared on Fox News and the sky didn’t fall in.

She is not aging very well. Her bags have bags. She should drink more water. Said something about maybe getting back into T.V., that’s how she still talks, in syllables, not sentences.

Oh, please, pray tell, don’t Rosie—don’t embarrass yourself again. The variety show should have told you to lay low for a long, long, long time.

She paled big time in comparison with the Elisabeth interview on LKL. You rock EH,
RO, well, you kind of teeter.

    Troll-jo

EH has got to be the most irritating hypocrite ever, besides Sarah Palin that is! EH stood up for Ms. Cali because she said that Ms Cali should be able to speak her mind without being disparaged. But when the Dixie Chics spoke their mind and many others spoke out against Bush or the war, they were dragged through the mud, and yes by your precious EH. She wanted no one to speak out then! I guess you should only be able to use your platform to speak your mind without being dsiparaged if EH agrees with your comments!!

  148. kaytee Says:

this part was my comment, lol!

149. Sunny Says:

someone at TWOP posted this interview and videos with Brian Fronds, head ABC daytime. unfortunately he confirms EH has signed a multi-year deal. between Fronds and Geddie, what a couple of creepy, creepy guys. both clearly have hard-ons for EH…and it ain’t just because she brings in the ratings.

  150. Rachel Says:

Did you notice Bitsy told Larry King she followed this diet blah blah blah and WHEN SHE WANTED TO GET READY TO WEAR HER BIKINI!

IMO she is a complete fake and fraud. I thought she had to follow it all the time since she had such a severe case of celiac disease but it sure didn’t sound that way this evening. I’d like to hear Dr. Green or someone else critique this book. I don’t believe Elisabeth truly has celiac disease!

Why does her lower lip stick out so when she pouts and her little eyes get so beady? She did that several times during the interview.

I’m going to go to LKL’s site and read the transcript from the show. I want to see precisely what it was she said towards the end when she was talking about the diet and the bikini.

  151. Rachel Says:

Maybe Oprah Winfrey detests Elisabeth and thinks she if a fraud as well. Oprah was duped by that guy who wrote a book on addiction and another one so she is probably
trying to be careful it doesn’t happen again.

And since Oprah is so chummy with the Obamas, I bet that Michelle and Oprah have had many conversations about Bitsy and the rest and much of them have been unprintable.

  152. Rachel Says:

I worked with a man who had it and he was out for a long time before finding out what the problem was. He looked sick when he returned to work and had lost a tremendous amount of weight. Severe diarrhea is a symptom of celiac. Elisabeth has GROSSLY exaggerated her story imo and I’d like to see all she has verified. Wouldn’t it be something if she’s lied and gets exposed BIGTIME? She claims they first thought she had IBS…diarrhea is also a symptom of that. I still think she has had an eating disorder like bulemia where she took tons of laxatives in order to control her weight.

  153. Rachel Says:

To clarify, I don’t doubt that celiac disease is genetic. I doubt that Elisabeth has it because if so, why does she say she is going to have her family tested and her children. Wouldn’t she know that a grandparent or some other relative had it or a condition with the same symptoms. It is possible I suppose that someone could have it and be misdiagnosed as she claims but I find it VERY ODD that she doesn’t mention a single relative having it when she talks about it being genetic.

  154. berndoubt Says:

Bitsy thinks that her conversation with “Michelle” is a very important part of the election.

    WTF???????????

    SHE IS DELUDED!!!!!!!!!!!!

  155. berndoubt Says:

Joy asked if Bristol Palin changed her story about safe sex and abstinence, to which Bitsy said, “Never.”

BITSY YOU ARE STUPID AND A LIAR!

Go back and watch Bristol Palin’s interview with Greta Van Susteren (don’t know the correct spelling)!

  156. marthe Says:

I think the best abstinence education is to make sure girls know that that appendage that that boy wants to insert into you is the same appendage he uses to excrete his pee. Pretty sure that delayed me for years.

  157. berndoubt Says:

Poor little rich people. So misunderstood. I’m glad Judge Judy was there to defend them all. Very important topic.

Also, Candie’s shoes is sponsoring the abstinence program that is being touted by Bristol Palin. Wait…didn’t Candie’s make a certain shoe called a $&*#-me pump? Irony or bad advertising scheme? You be the judge!

  158. Stacee Says:

DiannaC Says: “See post 103 for EH’s take on being backstage with MO before she co-hosted on TV - but tonight she says that it was lovely backstage, they had a good discussion.

EH says she phoned MO during the election process but this morning she said after the election.”

MY RESPONSE: She is such a bald-faced liar.
And I knew she was lying about some conversation she had with MO after tthe election.
I think she had a conversation before the election, and it had to do with the “fresh” comment she made at the RNC. I suspect her boss or someone higher up at ABC made her apologize, because as I recall, people were really ticked about it. Plus the View or BaWa did not want to lose a chance at catching an interview with the Obamas later down the line. Bits’ “stress” was probably due to her being p!ssed that she had to do it. She probably never even spoke to Michelle Obama, she probably left a message with an assistant. She’s so fake and a coward.

  159. Stacee Says:

kaytee Says: “EH has got to be the most irritating hypocrite ever, besides Sarah Palin that is! MY RESPONSE: Good response to Troll-jo, kaytee. LOL

  160. Stacee Says:

DiannaC Says: “EH communicates in a “frenzy”.”

MY RESPONSE: I saw on TwoP, someone says it’s “Hasselbabble”. I think that’s and appropriate description.

  161. DiannaC Says:

    #59 Stacee –

    Hasselbabble — I like it!!

  162. MiamiVision Says:

Reminder kidlets and friends of mine - when one responds to a troll, you give the troll and troll posts credibility, whereas if you ignore all the time (not sometimes) - they still get to post as free beings, and we don’t have to respond E.V.E.R. This way it all remains nice, nice here for us and we just act like we have an ignore button (like some places do have).

ds - As for TWOP and they are nicer than here - there are so many rules and regulations that they have over at TWOP that I, myself, got banned after 3 posts for using too many exclamation points. They tell you why you are getting banned and that’s what they told me and it is a lifetime ban *lol* - of course using another email and handle gets around that but I never bothered because of all the rules and regulations - they are lengthy over at their FAQs and if you don’t read the FAQs first - you won’t last long there. *lol*

I like this place better and the people better (tho some of our bloggers here are over there too) and I am able to read all and click on things there at TWOP and copy/paste and do all that good stuff. *S*

  163. MiamiVision Says:

and remember EH has NPD narcissistic personality disorder and is why she thinks she is so important to Michelle Obama and pre-election. puhhhhleeeezeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!
