The View November 21st

by

I won’t be putting a recap up today, because I am traveling for Thanksgiving. According to ABC, today’s episode was taped back on November 12th, so don’t expect the hot topics to be topical and don’t expect guest Jonathan Rhys Meyers to be discussing his recent arrest.

Feel free to leave your comments on the episode below. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL THE BLOGGER FRIENDS.
A HUGH THANKS TO WINNIE AND THIS WONDERFUL SITE.

    MARILYN

  3. May Says:

Found today’s show boring. Cameron is lovely and was lovely as a child actor but so-o sweet and bland. Most fun and laughs on show was when Joy said they could torture her even with H2O boarding and she would never vote for bush! Love you Joy. She was also good on Larry King last nite (or nite before). Happy Thanksgiving to all.

  4. Ken Says:

    Happy thanksgiving to everyone! :)

Candace Cameron Bure was another lovely guest to see. She seems like such a strong mother to her children. I found her very refreshing. She is fairly a young mother and just seems so so mature with that role. I just can’t believe how much she’s grown up. I used to live on Full House as a kid. :)

  5. Sandy Says:

I mostly just logged on to wish EVERYONE a VERY HAPPY THANKSGIVING. May it be a day of joy and blessing for everyone.

Have a safe and fun trip Winnie.

  6. Ken Says:

I forgot to wish Winnie a beautifully safe trip…

On a sadder note, I also read that the guest today Jonathan Rhys Meyers just lost his mother on Tuesday. (Not sure if he mentioned this during his interview on “The View” - or if it was pre-taped, because I was doing some errands in between) I send my condolences to him and his family during this difficult time.

I’d like to wish all of my WTV web pals a wonderful, safe Thanksgiving! I’m sorry to hear about Jonathan’s mother.

  8. Brandon Wolner Says:

I wonder why during the Joy/D.L. Hughley segment every time they showed the audience reaction to one of his jokes, it was always african-americans. Weren’t there any white people in the audience?

  9. Dee Says:

Poor Jonathan! I loved him on the show this a.m. He spoke so beautifully about his significant other.

I also liked Cameron today, she should replace EH as the conservative member of the panel. She is gorgeous, conservative and graceful. I am sure she could impart her views without hostility and venom.

On another note, Roger Friedman gave kudos to Rosie:

“The night was really to celebrate the astonishing $67 million Rosie has raised in the last 10 years and the more than $30 million she’s given away.

Her charity has built 27 child-care centers across the country, for example. When Hurricane Katrina hit the Gulf Coast in 2005, Rosie turned her organization into a disaster relief group and swooped into Baton Rouge with money and supplies.

It’s the part of O’Donnell’s life that’s overshadowed by the pronouncements, the squabbles and the courage to speak her mind even when others are begging her not to. Now her Rosie’s Broadway Kids has built the Maravel Center in the Broadway theater district for school kids who are interested in theater.”

Have a great holiday and Winnie thanks again for hosting this site!

  10. rainlillie Says:

WOW! Thanks for the link Dee. Rosie has a very charitable heart.

  11. Real Says:

    HIRE Candace. I’d be thankful.

  12. Stephanie Says:

I misseed the first little bit, did Candace say something that would indicate she’s a conservative? Oh and I love how Joy likes to insert her little political comments in there, its pretty funny.

  13. Dee Says:

This is from Candace’s wiki bio:

“In 2006, as a reflection of her evangelical faith, she began endorsing several online Christian homeschooling academies.”

Her brother is a star in the Rapture movie series.

  14. New Linda Says:

D.L. Hughley is extremely good looking, smart and funny. Nice combination.

  15. rainlillie Says:

I watched D.L. on Real Time, and I was really impressed with what he had to say about politics.

  16. New Linda Says:

I shouldn’t have been superficial and mentioned his good looks, but he’s so yummy. :-)

He was great on Real Time. Here’s a link for those who didn’t see him: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ESbTZJGhbMQ

  17. Doug Robertson Says:

Hughley is good whenever Bill has him on Real Time, so was glad to see he was going to be on the View today. I guess I wasn’t aware this morning’s episode was pre-recorded, though … no wonder it seemed very, um, generic. I prefer my ladies live, as I do my men.

  18. rainlillie Says:

    New Linda,
Thanks for posting the clip. I love what D.L. said about Bush being religious.

  19. Peaches Says:

Hughley had me laughing out loud, especially his Larry Craig iPod joke…. I really enjoyed the reaction shots of the comedians on the panel.

Thanks for the Real Time clip, New Linda. I enjoyed his political commentary and jokes there, too. I wish I could re-create his joke about watching Fox News and wearing too-tight shoes.

  20. lilkunta Says:

Winnie I know u were travelling but did u record the ep of 21 Nov? I’d like 2 c it 2 c what CCB has 2 say.

  21. Winnie Says:

Lilkunta: I still have it on the TiVo and will recap it at some point when I have time.

  22. lilkunta Says:

    OK.Thx Winnie.
I saw these 2 clips on YT.

Did CCB say much else? If not I dont want 2 unnecc trouble u.

I didnt know Valeri retired. HE is just 33! A the ife of the rich. THey retire @ 33 while the rest of us must toil 2 age 67 in order 2 collect SS :( . Since CCB has repeatedly said Valeri is the head of her house I wonder now what do they do 4 $. I’m hope he has it saved. I never c hockey endorsements–just football, basketball,, baseball, wrestling– so he doesnt have george foreman grill $ coming.

& how much can CCB be getting in residuls from FH? 0 yrs later &she is still getting paid …nice!

Do they still maintain 3 homes (CA, FL, Calgary).
