Today was a great show. No Lizard! Nobody said where she was but who cares? Bawa was there and the other three and it was VERY relaxing. They just gabbed and laughed, no fussing/fuming junk. Nicole pitched her new show and answered their questions. She looked more relaxed than she did on Letterman the other nite.
They had Barb’s hairdresser on and he showed short cuts to hair tricks which I enjoyed. I’ve tried the “hide the roots one” and it didn’t give enough for much coverage.
Wish the show was this relaxing every time.

I agree. Completely different atmosphere without EH. She just isn’t a good mix for the format. I can even tolerate BW more without EH and her distracting manner!

I had not seen this show before so I was pleased EH was absent. The show flowed, lots of laffs, plesant talk. IMO, it was because EH was elsewhere. Kidman was born in Hawaii. Does anyone know if she kept dual citizenship or she is only Australian citizen?

Gee..thought it strange they did not mention where Lizzie was. Maybe they don’t care either!!! Ha!

It was pretty clear it was taped today, no mention of India, and we all know Sherri was going to her in-laws and staying over! I really just wish they would not pretend about tapeing.
My only complaint was BW having no clue what Black Friday or being in the black as apposed to the red meant! As well as scolding Sherri for her son’s school fund raiser! She actually told Sherri, “I think you are doing the wrong thing” adding with the bad economy and Christmas. She obviously never had her kid bring home one of those things! Like Sherri has a choice!
They can be a pin in the neck.
It was pretty relaxed without EH, I do wish they would find someone else for her spot. Whoopi and Joy are pretty much the same demographic (but I don’t forsee either of them leaving), then Sherri is the 30 something single parent, it would be nice to have a 20 or 40 something with a different take on the world.

the show was pretty good. I enjoyed an Elisabeth free hour. But i have to say that i kind of feel sorry for Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruises adopted children. They talk about their biological children with excitement and joy as if their adoptive children are not the same. They kind of mention them as an afterthought.
It’s a very different vibe when you hear people like Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt talk about their kids. Angelina talks about her kids like there is no difference between them as well as Brad Pitt. I’ve also listened to Marie Osmond and others talk about their adoptive children with the same love and excitement as their biological kids.

Todays show was so boring. I hate the pretaped shows anyway, but Nicole Kidman.. I am not a fan of her at all, she seems like such an ice queen, even the way she came out she was so rude, she wouldn’t shake hands, hug or kiss anyone besides Barbara, even asking ‘where do I sit?’ when Sherri attempted to at least give her a handshake.
I ff’d most of the show, even though Lisatwit was not there I still didn’t care for the show. They really need to stop pretending they are actually sitting there live on their pre taped, Friday shows. Watching them discuss who was going to go out ‘later’ Black Friday shopping was ridiculous. Everyone knows the best deals are from around midnight to 9 AM. If they were actually sitting there live they would have said ’so who was the nut that went out at midnight looking for the best deals on electronics?.

When Elisabeth isn’t there you can tell it is a different atmosphere. Elisabeth always seems so high-strung.
I don’t think Nicole was shortchanging her adopted children. Barbara asked her about her baby and she answered the question. What I find annoying is when the press always describes the children of celebs that are adopted as adopted. I don’t think anyone who adopts a child would ever introduce that child as my adopted child.
I understand Sherri wanting to help her son win the prize at school but I also see Barbara’s point of view about more needier people. Whoopie just came across as a grump.

Thank you to the people who noticed how annoying it is when the media (or celebs) put “adopted” in front of the adopted kids’ names. AND, many times, the adopted kids are listed last even though they are the eldest in the family.
Being an adopted person, this is a big deal to me. I appreciate that people (who I think are not adopted) can appreciate my viewpoint on this. No, adoptive parents don’t introduce you as adopted. Sometimes you get questions (like why I have a blond sister) but people don’t talk like that.
Thanks for letting me get that off my chest.

Actually, Julianne, I know of a woman who does refer to one of her adult daughters as “Suzy, my adopted daughter”. Have no idea why, but I’ve always found it unnecessary & strange.
As to Conor & Isabella Cruise, I had read an article where Nicole Kidman says her older children get embarrassed if she talks about them in interviews. I guess she is respecting their wishes.
