Clicking on the pictures will take you to the ABC website.

  1. Watching The View » Blog Archive » The View October 6th: Felicity Huffman Says:

[...] Elisabeth said McCain was cleared of wrongdoing in Keating 5. Barbara asked her if she thinks that they should get past all the smears and she said “No, because (the Ayers connection) is not a smear.” Elisabeth said that Obama went to Ayers’ house for a fundraiser. She said that Ayers said after 9/11 that he was not-repentant about the bombings he had done. Sherri got very excited and said, “No, you don’t!” and said that Ayers was not talking about 9/11, but was talking about his book prior to that time. Barbara asked Elisabeth again about getting past the smears and Elisabeth said “It’s the truth.” Whoopi said it is because McCain is losing and he is bringing out garbage that did not work for Clinton and won’t work for him. Elisabeth said that her main problem with Obama is that he is hiding things. Sherri pointed out that he addressed the Ayers issue at the primary debate. Elisabeth then said that Obama is hiding all his “radical connections.” Whoopi almost said, “That’s bullshit,” but stopped herself and then they went to commercial. EDITED TO ADD: I just watched the clip of this part again and I missed the fact that before they went to commercial, Whoopi told Elisabeth that she is “spreading crap.” You can watch the video of this segment and the segment about the VP debate here: The View Hot Topics October 6th. Why did you publish my email address when
you specifically print that it will not
    be published?

  3. Pat chase Says:

If everyone would stop watching these gossipy women who don’t anything the world would be better off. Barbara Walters should be retired, and whoopi should drop off the face of the earth. Elisabeth can surround herself with much more intelligent people than those “women.”(?)

  4. Dana Says:

EH used to really get under my skin because she is not intelligent, she spreads lies and she is not an independent thinker. It used to really bother me, but after today, I’m laughing. I now believe her crazy beliefs about what is important is really helping the Democratic party at this time. She is ignorantly following the Republican talking heads who make a living on radio. Even the radio personalities do a lot of talk just for ratings and money. EH truly believes that someone Obama is acquainted with is more important than the economy, war, health care and education. Way to go EH all the Obama supporters are thanking you!

  5. Winnie McCarthy Says:

marjie: I don’t know what you are talking about. Where has your email address been published?

  6. Nancy Naomi Says:

Today I saw The View, and although I am a Canadian and we have our own elections coming up, the United States elections play an important role worldwide. I cannot hold back my opinions anymore. I hope The View keeps Elisabeth Hasselback for many reasons, none of which I am shy to speak on. It was the Elisabeth’s of the world that sat back while Hitler came to power in the blind belief he could do no wrong.

Elisabeth, single-handedly, is educating our young people on what a politically blind supporter of extreme partisanship sounds like, looks like and she is proselytizing how to follow a belief without logic, intellect or compunture for right and wrong - What better educator than that can our kids have?

Ms. Hassleback is this century’s version of what could happen if people followed politics without rational thinking; she is akin to someone who has been brainwashed and told to blindly follow their politics and leaders without questioning logic - almost cult-like.

She also could, single-handedly, lose every young voter that McCain and Palin have - just through her blind stupidity.

Elisabeth Hasselback is important for The View to keep on staff and at their oval table, to show all who watch; how detrimental blind faith can be and that we must all stay informed and vote with logic, intellect, and first-hand knowledge.

    Yours truly

    Nancy Naomi

  7. Roger from Ohio Says:

    Dana

EH doesnt have any views……. she watches Faux news (probably communicates with them) she gets talking points from Bill Getty. Then she repeats everything that was told to her.

She could be told that McCain has discovered that the sky is a pale green and EH would DEMAND that we all listen to him and stop going out side and that Obama is a bad American because he prefers blue.

  8. Lajet Says:

    Well said Naomi.

ONe quote I rember EH saying is that Obama is not open about Ayers - he’s trying to hide his connection, but Sarah Palin is (as if yelling something several times makes it true.)
I think Obama has been open about it, and EH has her facts wrong. he didn’t go to fundraiser at Ayers home. Obama went to a fundraiser at the home of hte woman who had Obama’s seat prior to Obama. She was going to run for another seat, and he ran for her (state) seat. She invited Obama to HER home for HER fundraiser. Ayers, who is now a respected citizen, member of the same neighborhood, was invited by the woman (NOT by Obama). The “fundraiser” was NOT for Obama, and he didn’t invited anyone, and it wasn’t in Ayers home.
OBAMA and Ayers were on the board of a not-for-profit (generally considered an honorable thing) that Ayers was also on, and apparently was a contributing, law-abiding, constructive member of the board. I’ve been on teh board of a not-for-profit before. Some of the people have skeletons. Heck, I have friends with skeletons (although not as serious as Ayers). There is no allegation that one brougth the other on the board. Or that they were some sort of voting block. They just served on the board together, presumably with a dozen or more other people. And presumably neither was paid for their services. Serving on a board is an honorable endeavor.

On the other hand, Sarah hasn’t been all that open about her association with AIP (who HATES America sufficiently they was to secede frmo teh union). Nor about her antics in Troopergate which is currently the subject of an appeal to prevent the report from being published. Prior to this the Attorney General (who was appionted by SP and owes his job to her) advised 7 government witnesses not to honor the subpoenas. I’m nto sure how it comes across to non-attorneys, but let’s jsut say that’s a big NO-NO, more commonly referred to as Obstruction of Justice, and lawyers are held to a higher standard when it comes to such things. (Lawyers can be brought before the bar if they knowingly put a client on the stand to deny they committed the criminal act they are charged with - even though their job is to defend the client.) The proper relief for an improper subpoena is a Motion to Quash, not ignoring the subpoena. (Which the AG finally did several days after the subpoena was issued and a day or so AFTER attendance was required!) Can you imagine the court system if people just decided whether or not to honor a subpoena. I suspect the AG may be brought before the bar before this is over.
Just what is SP hiding? probably a using her authortiy for a personal vendetta, probably criminal behavior in accessing confidential information and then distributing it, and possibly the serious criminal behavior or her son.
SP has not been honoest about charging victims for rape kits (her explanation makes no sense) SP has not been honest about the firing of the librarian.
I really think SP shoudl be careful about turning over rocks.

  9. Valerie Says:

Very interesting perspective, Nancy (#6). Very well said. I am an American (from FL) living in Canada. I joined the democrats from abroad organization and attended the “debate watch” with hundreds of other Americans or duel citizens in downtown T.O. Many duel citizens stated the same fact that you did: the American politics plays a vital role world-wide. Thus, why everyone around the world is taking an interest.

  10. Meleon Says:

    Nancy Naomi……Brava!

EH is the worst kind of hypocrite. She burst into tears when she was overcame with the “challenge” of teaching her kids the reasons why the *n-word* is alledgedly alright with black folk, but it would be bad if she used it, and the trauma it was causing her to raise children the right way yada yada yada…………

And then we have the EH who I suspect will allow her kids to tow the Conservative Republican line that says it’s ok to tell half truths, malign, be judgemental of others simply because they don’t share your views etc etc etc.

Yep, I want her to stay put, and I want her to continue to be a perfect blond pretty example of how one womans strident myopic opinion can so unhinge her to the point of outright lying if that’s what she needs to do to spread the social conservative message.

I firmly believe EH gets her talking orders daily from Hanity, and he gets his from Rove and Limbaugh. She is a tool for those tool’s and if anyone who watches the View hasn’t figured that one out by now it’s because they don’t want to.

  11. Deborah Says:

My fear is with EH spreading her nonsense someone might actually beleive her and vote republican.

  12. MiamiVision Says:

LaJet - all that EH was spewing today came DIRECTLY from last night’s foxnews Hannity’s America - the entire hour was devoted to “Obama, his connections, and what all he is hiding” - I so hate foxnews…..Hannity looked like he was getting off on all of this, by the way. He actually looked heated up, excited, et cetera. What a creep.

  13. Michelle Says:

I think that EH has great morals and values. She is the only republican on the show, so she has no one else to support her conservative views. I am a republican who supports McCain as well. Just because she is a supporter, doesn’t mean she is stupid. Barbara Walters wouldn’t have her on the show if she didn’t have something to offer. I enjoy watching the show, because I enjoy listening to the different view points. I pray that our country will focus more on the real issues at hand vs. people’s public opinions. Everyone has a right to believe as they choose! That is why we live in America! May God lead, guide, and direct the upcoming election!

  14. Roger from Ohio Says:

    #10 Meleon–

he burst into tears when she was overcame with the “challenge” of teaching her kids the reasons why the *n-word* is allegedly alright with black folk, but it would be bad if she used it

I wasnt here then……. That is one point that I agree with her……. if a hate filled word is bad….. then it is bad NO MATTER WHO USES IT.

  15. Meleon Says:

    Deborah

The irony of the politics expressed in the manner EH chooses is that she lays a negative covering over the whole when it’s merely a portion of the party totally aligned with her. It’s very divisive, and wrong.

  16. Meleon Says:

    Roger from Ohio

It’s not the point. The one I was making isn’t about that word but about how she has no problem teaching them to do wrong if she feels it’s for the right reasons, and that’s exactly what she’s doing.

As a Afro-Latina tha word plus a few more aren’t ever going to be absent in my world, or censored, and I will not allow anyone to dictate it’s function for me under any circumstances, and please don’t ever raise your voice to me as if I were a child again. Your point could have just as easily been made in lowercase.

  17. Nadine Greene Says:

I agree with most of the comments, but don’t agree with keeping EH on The View. She’s a fatal cancer that’s making me very sick. Cannot enjoy the show with her stupid commentary, lies and argumentative attitude. She needs to be fired immediately. The View can hire another Republican who is at least intelligent. Someone who can contribute to a healthy, worthwhile, meaningful conversation with Barbara, et al. Let her go to Fox News, then I don’t have to see or hear this moran.

  18. Missy Says:

Roger, I have been screaming that for a while now about EH. LOL!!!!! You are hilarious!! So, here I go again….McCain could have chosen an actual moose as his running mate and this Hammity parrot would defend it. He could tell her water is NOT wet and she will defend it within an inch of her life.

There is nothing wrong with having opposing views on the show. That is what makes the show interesting when they speak on politics or other “hot topics”. In fact, I used to admire EH for standing up for her beliefs and not backing down. But, since she showed what an immature, unprofessional and vile person she is during Cindy McCain’s luncheon, I have just lost all respect for her. But, it is good to see that I am not the only one who feels that she is just a blind follower. Anyone with sight, hearing and have at least 10% worth of common sense can see Palin is NOT qualified in the least to be VP. The scary thing is Dan Quayle was not qualified either, but ended up VP anyway. *shudder*

  19. Dix Says:

This show is a “piece of crap.” Elizabeth should leave and go to a network/show that draws an intelligent crowd that values the opinions of all people. The view has become a low-class, one-sided show that only appeals to ultra liberals who care nothing about others; only their agendas. It’s a free-for-all with Whoopi, Sherri and Joy yelling or smirking at other people’s opinions that are different than their own.
There’s nothing of substance to this show.
The downward spiral began with low class/no class Rosie O’Donnell and has continued.

Barbara is a sad figure of a women who was at one time at the top of her league. She has lowered herself to one-sided, opinionated journalism.

  20. Lajet Says:

    I found a better analogy to Ayers/Obama
How about tying McCain to G. Gordon Liddy.

-Liddy has donated to McCain’s campaigns for several years.
    - McCain has appeared on Liddy’s radio show
-McCain praised Liddy’s “adherence to the principles and philosophies that keep our nation great,” said he was “proud” of Liddy, and said that “it’s always a pleasure for me to come on your program.”
    so far, so good. BUT
    - is a felong - having served four and a half years in prison in connection with his conviction for a politically motivated burglary.

Ayers to my knowledge has never been convicted of anything (and I’m sure we would have heard about it if he had!)

  21. Juli Radziszewski Says:

I enjoy watching The View every morning. Like Whoopi and Barbara, I am a mature, American woman with grown children. Elizabeth being the “youngester” on the block has a lot to learn. She wants so much to support McCain with his female running mate. I too would love to see a woman Vice President, then someday a woman President. However, Palin is not it. Governing Alaska and looking at Russia across the Berring does not qualify as having experience with foreign policy. Elizabeth seems to forget that this country prides itself on “freedom”. The most important being the freedom to speak your opinions and vote for who you chose. She constantly defends the McCain campaign, trying to justify the smear tactics Palin has begun. I believe Barbara should give Elizabeth “a time out” for a few days.

  22. Beth Says:

What I find ironic is that EH is accurate; Oboma has had a relationship with Ayers in the past. He held a kick off party for his political career at Ayers home, who did make a contribution as well. Why is it wrong to state a fact?

Whether or not you would agree that a past relationship is important to you, is your call.

The fact remains, Obama has connections with individuals who have questionable and concerning backgrounds.

EH is the only open minded individual on the VIEW. She is an intelligent lady, is mature, and thinks for herself. I for one, am glad to see her stand up against the others on this show.

    EH — keep speaking up!

  23. kathy Says:

EH thinks if you scream loud enough you win your arguement. If she stays on The View i will not watch. I respect her right to her views but she will not listen to anyone else.

  24. Meleon Says:

Beth, that’s not ironic, that’s fact. It happened. Obama DID attend his kick off party at Ayers home. Ayers DID donate to his campaign. Where’s the subterfuge? Do you believe by restating what we already know as true somehow something new will be unearthed? All these silly “the dog barks at midnight” bones with no meat on them is making short work of most of America’s patience if the polls are to be trusted. This desperate eleventh hour attempt to paint a collar up/brim down back alley secret meeting scenario AGAIN is tired and makes McCain/Palin and supporters look pitiful, petty, and powerless.

  25. NOTIMPRESSED Says:

    Beth: #19

Oh please! and McLame hasn’t had questionable dealings with certain individuals in his background? Pull your head out of the sand. And you just stick with Lizzie..they say misery loves company!
    You go girl!!!!!

  26. suz Says:

PLEASE GET RID OF ELIZABETH!!!!! She is annoying and needs to go!!!! I cannot even stomach her views anymore…What are her credentials, Survivor???? R U KIDDING ME???

  27. rainlillie Says:

“EH is the only open minded individual on the VIEW.”

    Too funny!!

  28. NOTIMPRESSED Says:

    rainlillie #22…

I think they meant “narrow minded”.

  29. Sydney Says:

I find it hysterical that this show is called The View, with the premise that these ladies are supposed to represent different world views that exist, and yet because EH’s world view is so different from the other three women, she is labeled as being stupid, extreme, etc. Are we only supposed to be tolerant of those whose views are the same as ours? Believe it or not, there are a lot of educated, informed citizens with the same views as EH. I’m glad she’s on the show to bring a different perspective. We can all learn from each other.

  30. Corliss Says:

Fire Hasselbeck already! I’m sick of her biased opinion. It okay to be a Republican but the lie, misspeak, misquote, and defend those folks who are undefendable. Sarah Palin? The undeniable idiot. She’s out there trying to swiftvote under McShame’s orders because this is the only way he thinks he’ll win an election. Obama should do exactly what he is doing and stick to the issues. Can’t wait for Tuesday night’s debate.

  31. Mary Says:

Send EH to Faux News! She’d fit right in with Clammity. LOL

  32. marthe Says:

Lol, I’m reading the jezebel comments. EH, didn’t she take off her underwear for peanut butter? So Ms. Hasselbeck associates herself with gay nudist income tax evaders?

When you sling paint, be careful where it splatters.

  33. Sky Says:

Elisabeth Six-pack needs to be fired. She’s a bonafide hooplehead, just like Sarah Palin. The kind of people that like her are the same people that like Bushie. I don’t get them.

  34. Lexi Says:

Everyone in America has a right to believe the way they choose to believe. Why is it wrong for EH to have her opinions as well? As a Christian and McCain supporter, I like listening to a conservative view point on the show. No one criticizes Joy for her liberal comments. Why should EH be criticized for her conservative ones? I understand that there is a right way to express opinions without getting angry and defensive, but I’m sure that she feels like her views are being attacked daily by her liberal co-hosts.

  35. Deborah Says:

EH open minded - are you kidding me? She is so closed minded she will never see sunlight again. She has her head stuck so far up her….

The fact that EH is trying to make the Obama/Ayers situation into more than it is - suggesting he is trying to hide his connections with radicals is a pathetic attempt to smear him. Is she suggesting Obama has some hidden agenda with these ‘radical’ connections.

I am so happy Whoopi & Sheri called EH on a number of her comments today. She has turned into a female Bill Oreilly - yelling and talking over people.

  36. Sky Says:

[EH is the only open minded individual on the VIEW.]

To quote Martin Luther King, Jr.: “Nothing in the world is more dangerous than a sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity.”

  37. Sky Says:

I second what you said Deborah! My Compliments! :)

  38. Roger from Ohio Says:

    #15 Meleon–

As a Afro-Latina tha word plus a few more aren’t ever going to be absent in my world, or censored, and I will not allow anyone to dictate it’s function for me under any circumstances, and please don’t ever raise your voice to me as if I were a child again. Your point could have just as easily been made in lowercase.

First and foremost, I was not yelling(loud doesnt = right)…. the ALL CAPS was just me making my point….. I guess I should have put them in bold.

I was not trying to censor you, actually Whoopi and Sherri was. They basically said “I can use the “N” word because Im black, but u cant because you are white.
IMO, that is totally wrong…… if a white person is wrong for saying it, a black person is also…. if not that is the definition of racism.

I agree with your other point 100%, The one I was making isn’t about that word but about how she has no problem teaching them to do wrong if she feels it’s for the right reasons

She is teaching her child that lying is just fine….. the ends justify the means

  39. MiamiVision Says:

Gordon G. Liddy = Watergate felon, Nixon era

  40. susieq Says:

elisabeth sees life as a competetion and up to this point she’s been on the winning team…i think she’s realizing its 4th and long and they need a hail mary and it seems john mccain is just as ineffective a quarterback as her husband was

  41. Roger from Ohio Says:

I was having a convo with mom about the view today….. and she said something that I actually agree 100% and told her that Id share it with u all.

    #26 Deborah–

I am so happy Whoopi & Sheri called EH on a number of her comments today. She has turned into a female Bill Oreilly - yelling and talking over people.

Today when Whoopi was talking, what she said riled up EH. EH was trying to interrupt WG but she wouldnt allow her…. told her to let her finish….EH did. Then EH started spewing her stuff, and all 3 ladies jumped in and told her how wrong she was. (Mom said “they all 3 jumped her like a hound dog jumps a biscuit)

Im thinking maybe all of these EH fans are right. Whoopi doesnt like others to interrupt her, they shouldnt interrupt EH either. Let her finish… then explain how wrong she is.

If they give that respect to one they should give it to them all

  42. Lajet Says:

    PRIOR POST: Meleon Says:
    October 6th, 2008 at 3:49 pm
Beth, that’s not ironic, that’s fact. It happened. Obama DID attend his kick off party at Ayers home. Ayers DID donate to his campaign.

RESPOSNE: Obama attended a fundraiser FOR someone else (can’t remember her name), not for himself. It wasn’t HIS kick off party.
I’ll concede - Obama accepted a very modest campaign contribution from Ayers, once.
Another fact: McCain accepted much larger donations from a convicted felon (G. Gordon Liddy) over many years.

  43. Lajet Says:

PRIOR POST: What I find ironic is that EH is accurate; Oboma has had a relationship with Ayers in the past.

RESPONSE: Huh? Define “relationship.” Do you have a relationshi with everyone in the PTA? Girl/Boy Scout Troop? Are you suggesting Obama needs to vet, throughout his life, every member of every board and committee he is on, even if the members are volunteers and the mission of the group is to better the community and the members are known to be contributors to the community. And that would include college professors?

PRIOR POST: He held a kick off party for his political career at Ayers home,
RESPONSE: WRONG. He attended a kick off party for antoher politician at the home of the other politician.

PRIOR POST: who did make a contribution as well.
RESPONSE: Probably - but not to Obama’s campaign. it was a fundraiser for someone else.

PRIOR POST: Why is it wrong to state a fact?
RESPONSE: only when “the fact” isn’t fact.

PRIOR POST: The fact remains, Obama has connections with individuals who have questionable and concerning backgrounds.

RESPONSE: Huh. Define connections? What about the connections McCain has with felons?

PRIOR POST: EH is the only open minded individual on the VIEW. She is an intelligent lady, is mature, and thinks for herself. I for one, am glad to see her stand up against the others on this show.

    RESPONSE: Huh? ROTFLMAO.

  44. Jackie Says:

I cannot believe Barbara Walters lets this stuff go on; she needs to get another republican on the show to do rebuttals.. but one who has a little more brains than EH. EH talks over everyone else, including BW. She is sooo narrow minded that it is an insult to my intelligence to listen to her… please BW, do something about her!!!

  45. rainlillie Says:

No, they shouldn’t let her talk. They should shut her down every time she opens her ignorant mouth. She shouldn’t be allowed to spread lies and distortions.

  46. rainlillie Says:

“Mom said “they all 3 jumped her like a hound dog jumps a biscuit”

And rightfully so. I’ve been out with friends and if one of them said something stupid, we’d all jump on them. There’s only so much stupidity one can tolerate.

  47. lola Says:

I think what happened today was completely off. EH is saying it is ok to smear someone’s good name with half truths. She see life as a competition. If Palin and McCain are Christians what about one of the commands “Thou shall not bare false witness”? This issue was addressed like BW said during the primaries and we need to focus on the issues. To suggest that Obama is a hanging around terrorist is a racist thing to suggest. Because we all know when people hear that word they think Muslim, Arab, brown people. I use to really admire McCain but watching him in this election makes my heart sick - he has sold his soul to win, By the way Palin is not an average American hockey mom - she makes over 1 million. Stick to the issues because while we focus on gossip and attacks the ship is sinking and we will soon wake up with our country that is not our country.

  48. Roger from Ohio Says:

    36 rainlillie

Yes on one level you are correct….something “stupid” or wrong should be corrected.

my point is…. when Whoopi speaks she is allowed to finish before her stupidity is corrected…..She should be allowed to finish before she is corrected.

I noticed on a previous clip…. When Whoopi is interrupted….. she says let me finish first…… when EH is interrupted she stops making her point then answers the interrupter

If the others would allow her to make her point first…… she would have 1 less reason to whine….. <strongJust because she acts like an idiot, doesnt mean she should be treated like an idiot

  49. Deborah Says:

EH spews inaccurate data and doesn’t stop once she has the podium. Maybe the others are as frustrated with her behaviour and one track view? Yes EH was pounced on today but again what she is saying is inaccurate and only has the narrow minded republican spin on it. Once she starts she gets louder and more worked up. IMHO EH crossed the line today with her comments about ‘hiding ties with radical connections’. She is insinuating something very dark and vile without any basis or facts.

  50. jeanette collins Says:

Barbara, you were correct, baby should have been at home. FYI, Palen uses baby to get votes, just as McCain will do anything to win this election, including jeopardizing the security of the country by choosing Palen for his vp. He overlooked so many qualified people to choose Palen. Palen lacks professionalism and class and is not someone I would trust to meet with world leaders and dignitaries. She has a lots of mouth and a sharp tongue, but can’t answer a direct question when asked. I think McCain got so confused with the winks and shout outs that he failed to use good judgement in making his vp choice. I think intelligent Americans want more than a moose hunting “hockey mom w/lipstick” to represent the country. Oh, and by the way, to be a young woman, Elizabeth is so biased and so far out in left field until its frighting.

  51. rainlillie Says:

Roger #37 see Deborah # 38. That pretty much sums up how I feel.

Democrats have tried the passive approach it doesn’t work. She should be treated the way she treats other people.

  52. Stacee Says:

    Lajet, it is Alice Palmer.

And I think the donation Ayers gave was a $200 (if I remember correctly).
I’ve given more to his campaign so I’m going to consider myself to be a better pal to Obama! ;-)

  53. Lopez Says:

Campbell Brown said it best. To paraphrase: when one position is off the mark, the notion of equal time should be disregarded.

  54. Dix Says:

OH MY GOD!! My comment appeared as if you posted it. When I deleted “cookies” my comment no longer shows up!! I wondered why none of your hate mongers commented on my defense of Elizabeth!!!!

Do you do this often? Pick and choose what comments you like? No wonder the comments on this blog are so one sided bashing Elizabeth!!!

  55. Stacee Says:

EH is the only open minded individual on the VIEW.
No one is totally open-minded. Everyone has their limits on certain things in society. And EH would definitely not fall into the “open minded” category.

She is an intelligent lady, is mature, and thinks for herself.
    Mature? LOL. No.
She constantly flies off the handle, is not calm nor cool when questioned and has on many occasions cried or threw a tantrum when she has not gotten her way. A person that is mature acknowledges when they are wrong. She refuses to do so. A mature person would not have attempted to build one candidate’s wife up by talking about another candidates wife in a speech.

And she “thinks for herself”? Hardly. She pretty much parrots whatever Sean Hannity says constantly. Bits is a right wing talking point playback.

  56. Michelle Eaton Says:

I used to watch the view. But this year is election year. You women dont give Elizabeth the chance to view what she believes in or who she supports. Instead you ladys attack her. I thought the view was about everyones opioion. I didnt not like the interview you ladys did on the McCains. I thought you ladys were unfair. You attack him and his wife. I saw the interview with Obama and you ladys were fliting with him. So that tells me as a viewer you support obama. Which is fine. But you should be fair in all of your intervews. Way to go Elizabeth. Stick with what you believe in.
    Michelle

  57. Sandy Woodward Says:

I am sick of the lying above the law lot of them:

Ann Landers’ daughter Margo Howard writes

“It would have far more factual validity for Obama, or a surrogate, to publicize the fact that Track, the kid who joined the Army, did so because a judge told him it was that or jail due to his dealing drugs. I have a strong hunch, however, the Obama people would never get into that. Up until now the lady has annoyed me because of her ignorance and arrogance, but now I am furious, especially when her headline-making remark from yesterday was that Obama was not “fit” to be commander-in chief. I think the McCain people better lock the lady up again and tell her to zip it, because she is not fit to even ad-lib.”

  58. Sandy Woodward Says:

    It is Hitler’s big lie

    From Wiki

“The Big Lie is a propaganda technique. It was defined by Adolf Hitler in his 1925 autobiography Mein Kampf as a lie so “colossal” that no one would believe that someone “could have the impudence to distort the truth so infamously”.”

  59. Joyce W. Davis Says:

The terrorists acts that Ayers committed were anti Vietnam demonstations and I’m not condoning them but THEY HAPPENED WHEN OBAMA WAS 8 YEARS OLD. He and his wife were not convicted because of some technicality and went on to live decent lives. The fund raiser was not for Obama. McCain however was one of the Keating ‘5′. McCain along with four other politicians became involved with a sleezebag land Arizona developer. It was a BIG scandel in the early 80’s and McCain was let off with a stern reprimand or something of the sort. He admits that it was a serious lapse in judgement…along with cheating with Cindy while married to his 1st wife…Cindy’s stealing drugs from her charity, and his caving as a POW.

As for EH…she thinks she’s a star in the Repub party! They trot her out and tell her what to say and she thinks they all love her. Wait until McCain loses. They’ll drop her like the gullible, wind-up puppet she is!

  60. Sandy Woodward Says:

    Amen Joyce.

    Check out David Ifshin

    http://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/10/6/195913/619/296/622118

“There are many similarities between Ifshin and Ayers.

    Both had been student radicals.

Both engaged in terrorism against America; Ayers used bombs, while Ifshin used words to demoralize POWs.

Both turned their lives around. Ifshin, in the law; Ayers, in community work.”

  61. rainlillie Says:

“As for EH…she thinks she’s a star in the Repub party!”

So true. She nothing more than a GOP talking points Pez dispenser.

  62. Sandy Woodward Says:

    Roger from Ohio,

From your comments I gather that your mom must be a republican or a disappointed Hillary supporter.

Your comments make me question if you really work the Obama campaign. I find them to be more than leaning red.

  63. Missy Says:

Sarah, what about Joe Voeghler (sp)? He declares himself as an Alaskan, not an American. He is head of the AIP, I believe. The organization of which you spoke in either February or March. The organization that your hubby was or is a part of. Aren’t they terrorist? Isn’t the AIP a secessionist hate group? What about the pastor who accused a woman of being a witch and proceeded to have her run out of her home? Just asking…….

  64. Sandy Woodward Says:

    LOL love the Pez reference.

I think I will use it on a poster with Palin’s face.

Obama in Ohio tomorrow Portsmouth at Shawnee Univ. 5:30 gates 7:00 speech. I think he may have a squeaker win in Ohio.

  65. Sandy Woodward Says:

    Missy,

The AIP is considered by our government just as the American Nazi Party a pest. But I don’t want a VP candidate from either them.

But the pastor accused a woman from Kenya of being a witch is a present and serious matter.

    http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2008/05/22/2252041.htm

Salem style witch hunts are going on in Kenya and Palin supported it through the tithes she gave this church that supported that witch hunting pastor.

Good God how many years is SP going to set back the women’s rights movement.

  66. Dawn Says:

After watching today show..did it for me ladies and gents..I don’t think in our day in age we should give people like EH anymore power, attention then they deserve, and that is why i suggest that we just poll together and write to vote her off…her time has come..let her go on other talk show and express her party “PAID” pop shots on another station,..this is not what ABC is about..there are other smart women waiting to get a chance to take the seat.

  67. Roger from Ohio Says:

    48 Sandy Woodward

From your comments I gather that your mom must be a republican or a disappointed Hillary supporter.

Your comments make me question if you really work the Obama campaign. I find them to be more than leaning red.

Oh Sandy…… how disappointing this post is from you. (I know that means nothing to you because Im probably one of those “red leaning” trolls)

I said once before, my mom is one of those Clinton Republicans…. she became republican after being disappointed by Clinton. (I think the church had something to do with it too)

When you say to me that you doubt that I volunteer for the Obama campaign because of my “red leaning comments” that just makes me think that you are just like the 29%ers that support Bush except you are on Obama’s side.

If you question my support because I have critical thoughts about Obama then you are quite sad. The problem with the 29%ers isnt that they support Bush, but that they dont think Bush can do wrong. If you think that way about Obama then you are just like them. Which is quite sad.

Buck up Sandy….. Become an American instead of just a “talking point” Democrat.

  68. Sandy Woodward Says:

    Roger from Ohio,

    I didn’t call you a troll.

And at this point I highly doubt you are from Ohio.

As far as a “talking point” Democrat — I say piss off.

  69. Roger from Ohio Says:

Id tell you where you put your “doubts” but Im a gentleman.

People like yourself makes that a difficult objective from time to time.

If you truly are not a “talking point pez dispenser” (good one rain) or a democrat 29%er, can u give any criticism of Obama?

    just askin

  70. Sandy Woodward Says:

    Roger from Ohio,

I take it you do realise you have just challenged me by calling me un-American.

That is naturally settled by a duel at sunrise.

  71. Sandy Woodward Says:

    bring it on Roger

  72. Sandy Woodward Says:

    Roger from Ohio,

    You seem to have issues.

  73. Sandy Woodward Says:

    Roger from Ohio,

Seems you like that circular firing squad technique.

  74. Roger from Ohio Says:

    wow… thats quite amazing

I ask you for criticism for Obama and u somehow turn that into you being “un-American”?

and because of that you wish for my death?

and u think I have issues??

good lord woman…. u just might be certifiable

  75. Sandy Woodward Says:

    Roger,

    un-american

    and

    certifiable

Glad you have your eye on the goal.

  76. Roger from Ohio Says:

I dont think I have it in me Sandy… this reminds me way too much like trying to argue with EH. I have a lot more respect for those women. you are kinda like her Sandy… just on the other side.

you put words into my mouth, not only things I didnt say, but things I didnt even think.

What is really funny to me is all I asked you for is honesty. AFTER, you said that because u disagreed with one of my postings that I suddenly became a “red leaning” troll (yes u didnt use the word troll…. but a troll is someone pretending to be one thing but is another)

Seems you like that circular firing squad technique.
That is a Bush idea. if u question or doubt your side then you are shooting yourself.

Stop being a talking point Sandy…. try a little honesty.

Unlike most republicans, you CAN be critical of your choice for president as well as vote for and help to elect that same person.

try it out…. it just might give you some perspective.

  77. Sandy Woodward Says:

Roger you are not from Ohio and are not a volunteer for Obama. You are beige faced troll for the mishappened McCain-Palin race. Please continue to defend your republicans — I betcha we all wanna hear it!

  78. Roger from Ohio Says:

Ok Sandy… this really amuses me…. tell me in all of your glory and quite impressive intelligence, tell me please what information that you used to come up with this cockamamie idea?

    this should be good.

  79. Sandy Woodward Says:

    Roger,

You accused me of everything but the kitchen sink.

  80. Sandy Woodward Says:

    mudflats.wordpress.com

    a lovely place to go

  81. Roger from Ohio Says:

Oh dear Sandy…. have another drink while u think on this.

    #48 Sandy Woodward–

    Roger from Ohio,

From your comments I gather that your mom must be a republican or a disappointed Hillary supporter.

Your comments make me question if you really work the Obama campaign. I find them to be more than leaning red.

That was where our interaction began…. what did I say before that post that accused you of anything??

There in that post you accused me of being a red leaning troll (cept u didnt use the word troll) so this back and forth was started by you…… so again I ask Pez head…

information that you used to come up with this cockamamie idea that you spewed (like EH) about me in post #63 or #48?

  82. Roger from Ohio Says:

    Sandy–

I was typing slow so u would be able to understand easier.

  83. Sandy Woodward Says:

    Roger,

Love your demeaning me as to being a lush.

What else were you talking about?

  84. Sandy Woodward Says:

Well we all know EH wants you — that is why she carries that mag glass around with her.

  85. Sandy Woodward Says:

Roger, this site will go on without the likes of you or me.

  86. Roger from Ohio Says:

OMG…. this is so boring… but if u insist…. if u really dont understand what I was talking about Ill make it clear even to you.

the 4th post that u made today was directed to me….all on your own…. u said my mom was a republican or a disappointed hillary supporter. Then you called me a red leaning troll.(without using the word troll)

I would like to know what went thru your little EH like mind to come up with your own “invented” fact that Im a red leaning troll.

so … Im sure u can understand that question but I do doubt that you have a understandable response.

  87. M Says:

Elisabeth…you go girl! We got your back! This show is so beneath you. Why associate with a bunch of women who obviously using you as the “punching bag” to take out all their fustrations…Don’t know that every woman’s pitfalls…bitch, bitch, bitch. Women like nothing more but be one up on each other, focus on your faults, and put each other down. The show “Desperate Housewives” is a prime example. Movie “Mean Girls” gets G rating to what’s going on here.

  88. Sandy Woodward Says:

    Roger,

You were typing slow because you were having to ‘hunt and peck’ as old men do.

  89. Roger from Ohio Says:

    Oh Sandy….. thats so cute

Just like EH you have to get personal instead of defending the “facts”

  90. Sandy Woodward Says:

Barack Obama at Shawnee University in Portsmouth, Ohio Thursday, October 9th the gates open at 5:30 pm the Obama to speak at 7 pm.

  91. Roger from Ohio Says:

The guy that runs the Obama campaign locally was brought in from Chicago. He told me himself that he was a republican. He told us about the dirty tricks that he used as a republican. I wonder if that is a tactic being used by the Obama campaign.

When did u change from Republican to Democrat Sandy?

  92. Sandy Woodward Says:

    what “facts”?

  93. Roger from Ohio Says:

Still waiting for your answer about post #48

  94. Roger from Ohio Says:

you are right….. I guess u dont use fact…. just spewing “opinion” (kinda like EH)

What happens when your “opinion” is wrong?

is that when u become “un-american” and want to duel?

u sound like a fan of guns….. do u use a helicopter when you hunt??

  95. Sandy Woodward Says:

Your mother is a Hillary supporter and I still doubt you work for Obama. Perhaps it is true that you do volunteer for him — that is all I gathered from the posts.

What point are you trying to make?

  96. Roger from Ohio Says:

my point is that you do nothing but spew. How are you different than the people that you criticize? You arent.

Just because you believe it doesnt make it true. When you come to that realization then you wont be as bitter as u seem.

you can have doubts about me all you want…. that doesnt make them true.
When you spew your own facts and doubt things that you cant prove one way or the other then you are just like the people that u criticize and make fun of.

that is exactly the same things that most people on here say about Elizabeth. You should look at yourself Sandy if u are honest, you may not like what u see.

  97. Sandy Woodward Says:

Disagreeing with someone is not making “fun” of them….if you feel offended perhaps the shoe fits…but maybe too tightly?

  98. Roger from Ohio Says:

    *yawn*

How many posts….. not one time did u explain why in your 4th post…. with no prodding, you made an accusation against me….. not one time in all of those posts you told me what directed you toward that opinion of yours.

all you did was spew hate and pretend u didnt understand what was being asked.

You tried to make it personal, but I didnt bite. Although, I almost played that game with you… one that both of us would have wound up worse off. No need for that.

The other thing that you were asked you had no answer for (reminds me of most of the republicans that I have talked with on here) u never were able to come up with a criticism of Obama.

Sad actually. If you cant criticize your choice for president then your arent any different then the Bush supporters.

  99. Sandy Woodward Says:

    4th post

    Sandy Woodward Says:

    LOL love the Pez reference.

I think I will use it on a poster with Palin’s face.

Obama in Ohio tomorrow Portsmouth at Shawnee Univ. 5:30 gates 7:00 speech. I think he may have a squeaker win in Ohio.

    yep

  100. Roger from Ohio Says:

Oh Sandy…. that is so sad

your first post was #43 then #44 then #46 then #48 (the post about me) the one u posted was #50

Even EH can count to 4

  101. Roger from Ohio Says:

    Good night Sandy

It sure has been an interesting couple of hours. The way u treat Obama supporters McCain should give u a raise. That doesnt matter any, actually things that you think dont matter much to me.

You being an EH wannabe makes it tough to expect any honesty from you… sad really

Im gonna go to bed thinking that you are just another disappointed George W Bush supporter that has changed over to support Obama.

I have my doubts about you

    Good night

  102. Sandy Woodward Says:

    Roger,

Keep counting in the EH way.

  103. rainlillie Says:

Remember all trolls leave the same dirty tracks, no matter how hard they try to clean them up.

  104. Winnie McCarthy Says:

Hello all. Remember our comment policy? It is here if you need a refresher:

It would take me too long to delete all the offending posts so I am just closing comments on this post.
