The View Ratings Information

According to the ABC press release, here is some recent ratings information on The View:

The 12th season premiere of “The View” (Tuesday, 9/2/08) improved over last season’s opener by 3% in Women 18-49 (931,000 vs. 901,000) and stood as the show’s second-most-watched debut since the 2000/01 season. (NOTE: I assume the most-watched debut has to be 2006 when Rosie O’Donnell joined the cast?)

Tuesday’s season premiere of “The View,” with musical guests NKOTB, ranked as the show’s highest-rated of the week in target Women 18-49 (1.4 rating/931,000), and the talker’s most-watched episode in six weeks (since 7/22/08).

In Total Viewers, “The View” (3.4 million) and “General Hospital” (2.7 million) positioned among the week’s Top 5 most-watched programs in daytime. In Total Viewers, this week, featuring its 12th season opener, stood as “The View’s” most-watched week in six weeks (since 7/21/08).

    The Views treatment of the McCains was shameful. You bias and hatefulness only helps to remind me why many of us do not watch this show.
