  1. Roger from Ohio Says:

    Monday’s show–

Paula Abdul (”American Idol”), Lisa Ling

Im kinda losing my breath….. Another AI judge

Lisa Ling is gonna be on the show again…. hmmmm…. do you think they are gonna try and get her to replace Elisabeth? Maybe it isnt too late for that Faux News offer.

wasnt LL just on the show last month?

  2. red Says:

i think Lisa Ling will be on the show to promote CNN’s Planet in Peril. She is a correspondent for that special. I hope Lisa Ling doesn’t go back to the View. She is too good for that show IMO.

Liz Smith interviewed Whoopi for the Wow site.

    http://www.wowowow.com/conversation/whoopi-goldberg-view-barbara-walters-liz-smith-147158?page=1%2C0

I’m perplexed what Whoopi’s intent with this comment was?

“For me, it’s just, let’s talk about this, and here’s what I think and here’s what you think and great. Now, here’s — Barry Manilow.”

She surely remembers Manilow cancelling a scheduled appearance?

  4. Roger from Ohio Says:

I think Whoopi was getting aggravated because she kept being accused of lying…. Whoopi would answer the question, then Liz would repeat the question and ask for the real answer. Whoopi was just using the name “Barry Manilow” in her pretend introduction. I dont think anything else was meant.

#2 Red Lisa Ling is too good to go back on The View. Will never happen. It would ruin her journalism career. If you will notice, all of the good people bailed in time to save their careers with one exception…Rosie. Rosie is too emotional and too outspoken and it has cost her.

  6. Pat Says:

Lisa Ling has way too much journalism talent to go back to this show. I agree diane10, everyone bailed. It’s time for the show to end. Move on. The View lost all creditability, and has now become the joke of all networks. BW, just because they talk about your show, doesn’t mean they are being complimentary…they are laughing at you. Wake up and smell the coffee. Now, I need to go get a cup.

  7. diane10 Says:

Yes, the good people bailed and moved on. The View has lost its focus. BW wants to go out as the best female journalist/interviewer and is doing everything possible to promote herself in her final hours. Her ego is such that I cannot believe she will be able to retire completely. Much like OJ Simpson. Their notariety is like an addictive drug to personalities like theirs. They have to see their name in the news in to feel validated.

  8. Pat Says:

Yes diane10, and both of their books made the best sellers list…LMAO

  9. diane10 Says:

What bothers me the most about BW is that she put Thomas Beattie on her 10 Most Fascinating list…why would anyone find “her” fascinating? It’s pure circus material. It is a simple lesbian relationship nothing more nothing less. How can that possibly equate to “a man having a baby?” I’m still shaking my head because I just don’t get it.

  10. Pat Says:

diane10, it just goes to show, it doesn’t take much to fascinate bw. Thomas Beattie belongs only in the Enquirer…what a joke!

  11. red Says:

    #5 Diane10

I agree. I like Rosie but yeah she is too emotional and despite being so confrontational and a bully at times, she’s pretty thin-skinned. It’s a bad combination. I hope that she can work on herself. I would love to see her on tv again.

  12. Diane Says:

Diane # 10 - YOu made a great point re: BWalters’ ‘addiciton’ to this show:

Their notariety is like an addictive drug to personalities like theirs. They have to see their name in the news in to feel validated.

BW - Hearing about BW’s 10 most fascinating show: Thought I was going to puke to have to hear about it AGAIN. After a 2 weeks of promoting the damn thing, now they have to give DETAILED post -show reviews comments, sucking -up compliments. I’m going puke if I have to hear about this again.

EH - What a ‘lengthly’ (time alotted) retort she was aloud to give to Rev Wrights remardk about her. Why didn’t she give the same amount of time to her apology re: Deepak Chopra?

Also, as a one dimensional right wing soldier, she must have been busting a gut at Ling’s discussion of an environmental problem. Afterall, her crowd thinks the planet is ours to use up…shoot moose, kill wolves from a helicopter, ..”tree huggers”…

Joy: Love her, enough that I wish she were my friend, but Geez, her humor is so predictable, its becoming sort of Henny Youngman -like (take my wife pleeze), and she interjects it so often at the wrong moment. I think the others on the panle feel that sometime. You know what, I actually really really love Joy more, when she is making a SERIOUS comment sometimes rather then humorous. Her intelligence, life experience, and Masters degree shines thru much better then.

LisaLing - How refreshing. Intelligent, doing something interesting. Smart hubby. yeah agree with you all - she sure knew when to leave The View.

    And Lastly for today …

Paula Abdul - Can we talk ? What freakin’ train wreck. She is still spacey ? Did anyone see her 8 episode reality series on Bravo last year ? She is still the same and definitely medicated. I think thats why her sister has to travel with her. Remember, she had this unbeliveable entourage on that show - she employs this ridiculously large staff as if she is royalty.

Oy that jewelry line ! Can you spell ‘c-h-e-a-p ‘ ??? $50 for that metallic neck wrap thing ? Yeah Paula and what’s your profit on that ? $49.75? Going to charity ?

  13. diane10 Says:

#12 Diane CAN WE TALK ABOUT PAULA ABDUL? You betcha!! I saw her on Good Morning America this a.m. She was a disaster. She has the vocabulary of a 5th grader delivered like a first grader. No wonder everyone thinks she is on some type of “mood altering med.”

Her jewelry line is ultra ultra “bottom drawer.” Quite frankly, I’m waiting for Barbara Walters to bring out her line of jewelry any day now.

  14. Roger from Ohio Says:

Now there is a debate that I would pay to go see

Paula Abdul debating Elisabeth Hasselbeck and have Sherri Shepherd be the moderator.

What a great new reality show…. Celebrity Debate…. the smackdown where intelligence is frowned upon.

I would watch it…. what would be some other great match ups?

  15. diane10 Says:

Picture this, Roger: Goldie Hawn (in her younger years) debating Kelly Ripa with Rosie as the moderator!!

  16. Roger from Ohio Says:

How about John McCain vs Sarah Palin…

They could talk about campaign strategy.
They could talk about policy differences.
They could discuss who is the biggest maverick.

We could get Tina Fay to moderate it. that would be “fascinating”

  17. diane10 Says:

Or: Bill Clinton vs Jennifer Flowers

    with Monica Lewinsky

    moderating?

  18. Diane Says:

How about Ann Coulter vs. Laura Ingraham with E Haslebeck moderating ?

They could debate who wears the biggest cross around her neck, who has the best highlights, and who’s really still a Virgin ???

  19. Diane Says:

BTW - where has Coulter been thru the whole elction seaosn ? Haven’t heard a peep out of her, or about her? Or is it that the Repubs ‘hid’ her, or she didnt have a book to ‘hawk’?

  20. Roger from Ohio Says:

    Diane–

BTW - where has Coulter been thru the whole elction seaosn ?

I heard she broke her jaw and had it wired shut…. I couldnt find the details, except once site said she fell down some stairs.

If anyone else has found the story I think it would be a fun read ;)

  21. Pat Says:

New Ann Coulter Book on the Horizon

    By E&P Staff

    Published: November 17, 2008 10:57 AM ET

NEW YORK Conservative columnist Ann Coulter is completing yet another book, to be
published Dec. 30, but this one is still unnamed — possibly delayed to make sure putting Obama as president in its title was safe.

Amazon.com still lists as the “New Ann Coulter” book promising only that it will be “Controversial. Confidential. Coulter.”

  22. diane10 Says:

    Coulter?
