The View Schedule January 12th-16th: Ann Coulter Among Guests

by

Here is the schedule for The View for next week, January 12th-16th, subject to change. Ann Coulter will be appearing on Monday’s Day of Hot Topics, which I am sure will be interesting because the hosts all dislike her from what I can recall. Or, they at least want us to think it will be interesting, so that we tune in.

Monday, Jan. 12: “Day of Hot Topics,” Ann Coulter, kick-off of “Kimberly Clark Room-A-Day Giveaway” sweepstakes, “The View” guest dressing room makeovers.

Tuesday, Jan. 13: “Gossip Girl” stars Ed Westwick and Chase Crawford.

Wednesday, Jan. 14: Richard Belzer and Richard Lewis (”An Evening with Richard Belzer and Richard Lewis”); James Earl Jones (SAG Lifetime Achievement Award).

Thursday, Jan. 15: George Stephanopoulos (ABC News’ “This Week with George Stephanopoulos”).

Friday, Jan. 16: Toni Collette and Diablo Cody (”The United States of Tara”).

  1. Stacee Says:

Yeah, Monday’s show should be interesting.

Kimberly Clark is having another “Room A Day” Sweeps?

James Earl Jones could be an easy going and nice interview.
The rest of the week’s guests and topics seems blah. Too bad they won’t have George’s wife there, she’s fun.

  2. Roger from Ohio Says:

It will be interesting to find out which of the 5 hosts wont be there for Ann Coulter.

Ill bet Elisabeth will be the most quiet of any of the hosts.

The hosts should be ready to be attacked by Ann. I predict that Ann Coulter will act like the victim of the liberals that hate her.

I hope they are confrontational but not disrespectful. Ann Coulter will be both.

  3. rainlillie Says:

Wednesday looks like a good show. I hope someone will stand up to Coulter. I think I already know how it will play out.

She’ll sit there and make insulting jokes , Joy will come back at her, before Whoopi interrupts and reminds us that both sides…blah, blah, blah. The rest will be their usual boring selves.

My hubby watched the clip with BW and Tom and wondered why the other hosts didn’t have the courage to cut in, when he stumbled to find the words. I said it’s about the paycheck.

Remember when Alec Baldwin was on talking about the incident with his daughter? Rosie stepped in a few times when he was having trouble expressing himself.

Rosie is a huge fan of Tom’s that interview would have been a lot different if she were sitting there.

  4. mc5000 Says:

why is their dressing room makeover considered newsworthy?

  5. Vegas Says:

I can’t wait to see Mondays show. Ann Coulter is going to control the entire segment. Watch. You had to see her on The O’Reilly Factor the other night. She was controlling the direction of the interview and even called O’Reilly a chauvanist and yelled at him for asking her questions about things that ’she has already addressed years ago’. I have never seen him so intimidated before, especially by a woman.
Don’t think Ann is going to hi-five Elisabeth when she first comes out either, Elisabeth has said on the show in the past that she is not to be compared to her.

  6. susieq Says:

Other than Ann Coulter, who I DESPISE, I like everyone else on next week. However, these people aren’t A-list.

Between the people who find Elisabeth unbearable, the people who are friends with Rosie, and the people who are afraid something they say or do backstage will get leaked, I would say their roster of guests is getting pretty small.

  7. Diane Says:

    Re: COULTER”S appearance on Monday.

Fasten your seatbelts , friends. My fingers will be ready to blog on Monday …

By the way, has anyone ever realized that Ann Coulter RARELY does an interview with a woman…Hannity, Lauer, H.Smith, O’Reilly, Donnie Deutsch….

There’s a reason for that. I will leave it at that for now.

  8. Stacee Says:

Yeah, I’ve been hearing snippets of her talk radio and tv interviews. She’s hawking a new book, but from what I’ve heard, she’s just saying the same old stuff.

  9. Roger from Ohio Says:

    #7 Diane–

There’s a reason for that. I will leave it at that for now.

    THAT IS SO UNFAIR!!!

come on …. spill it…. does it have anything to do with her manly adams apple?

  10. Kelly Says:

I’ll be cocked and loaded Diane.

:!: BRING IT ON COULTERGIEST :!:

    (Happy Birthday MiamiVision)

  11. Kelly Says:

Thanks to Vegas (who recommended the film – or was it Lajet?), I can offer this smart quote from the movie “The Last Supper”:

“There are always extremists on both sides of the spectrum. And sadly, we can’t achieve anything with those extremists. Those are the ones that make the most noise, but the decision makers are the moderates.

The more extreme the extremes get, the more moderate the country gets.”

GOD I HOPE THAT’S TRUE – seems to be considering our election.

Maybe we can help The View prepare for A. Coutler – should we even invest the time Roger?

This review of “The Last Supper” has an interesting take on the conservative-vs-liberal climate back in 96 (my how things have changed since then)– including a remark on Whoopi’s political humor that might define her party affiliation:

can’t stand coulter really cant and her today inteview sealed it. this early show interview however, was good harry smith is did a great job the view ladys should take note. http://www.cbsnews.com/video/watch/?id=4701138n

  13. Roger from Ohio Says:

    #11 Kelly–

Maybe we can help The View prepare for A. Coutler – should we even invest the time Roger?

We should try Kelly…. Im sure it will fall on deaf ears….. rainlillie actually had a pretty good idea on how it will go in her #3 post… She’ll sit there and make insulting jokes , Joy will come back at her, before Whoopi interrupts and reminds us that both sides…blah, blah, blah. The rest will be their usual boring selves.… I hope she is wrong, but she probably isnt.

The View hosts need to understand that Coulter has nothing but contempt for any liberal….. When she starts insulting “liberals” they need to take what she is saying personally… because Ann means it personally. I also think she will “defend” Elisabeth, but she will do it with contempt.

Ann Coulter is an ugly person…. not in looks but inside. They cant treat her with politeness and fairness, because those traits are considered weaknesses to Coulter.

  14. Roger from Ohio Says:

    #77 Kelly–

This review of “The Last Supper” has an interesting take on the conservative-vs-liberal climate back in 96 (my how things have changed since then)–

I read that review…. actually not much has changed when conservatives define liberals.

What I find funny is, I saw that movie…. but I didnt see it as a political film, but as a black comedy. I wasnt very political back then…. I was interested in politics but I wasnt paying attention.

Thinking about the film now… I can see how it was political. Funny how things change.

  15. marthe Says:

I was just commenting in my local paper about Obama’s proposal to roll back the analog tv transition date.

And I was thinking why hasn’t barbara “people come to the view for news” walters ever had a segment on the upcoming conversion? It is because they can’t relate to people in this country who don’t have cable or satellite tv or who don’t buy a new tv every 2 years.

In fact, Whoopi and Sherri used their compensated co-host time to kvetch about their tv services to get problems fixed pronto!

Seems like an informative segment would be more interesting than a dressing room makeover.

For movie recommendations: Strangers in Good Company, a contemplative docufiction about a group of older females stranded in the Canadian countryside when their bus breaks down. For military comedy, Pvt. Benjamin.

Thanks, so much, Kelly! So far, it’s been fabulous and we are still celebrating!! I will see YOU later. *grins*

  17. MiamiVision Says:

Kelly, Happy Birthday to you TOO (01/08/2009)!!!

  18. Diane Says:

Happy belated birthdays to Kelly and MiamiVision !

I love Capricorns !…productive, responsible, ambitious, patient , industrious. You want them on your team. They are also often born leaders. Caps also have great fashion style…!
Michelle Obama is a Capricorn !

  19. MiamiVision Says:

Thanks Diane #18!! No wonder I love Michelle Obama!!! *grins*

But know that Caps can be *itches too. LOL and speaking of “born leaders” I happen to share my birthday with (BARF) Richard Nixon, but then the saving grace would also be sharing it with Joan Baez!!

    Have a great day, hon!!!

  20. kaytee Says:

OMG, Ann was just on! i am speechless. please do not buy this woman’s book! That’s all I can say right now.

  21. kaytee Says:

I loved the way Sherri stood up for Babs!

  22. KK Says:

I just watched The View for the first time. I walked into the room to hear shouting and thought it was Jerry Springer. I could not believe what I was seeing. Grown women, professional women yelling at one another. Is this supposed to be a daytime talkshow full of intellectual discussions? I do not know who Ann is, and I do not plan on purchasing her book, however, how dare people treat one another with such disrespect. So what if the views are not the same, at least let her finish her sentence without blasting her in the face with negativity. I just think people should give the common courtesy if they are going to ask them to be on their show. I do not plan to watch The View again.

  23. Carol Says:

I used to like Joy but lately, I can hardly stand her. I felt the View was very disrespectful to Anne Coulter and did not let her answer the questions. She was ganged up on and could not complete any sentence. Joy was just obnoxious. It is just so obvious when the View does not like someone. They are rude. I was surprised Elisabeth did not speak up more, but then, it would have just been one more voice yelling out……

  24. Kelly Says:

    THANKS MiamiVision and Diane

    I just read this thread….Diane, I’m surprised you’re not a Cap. Maybe a Leo?

  26. MiamiVision Says:

Oh no, Kel - you share your birthday with TONS of people…
