Im gonna start off by saying that this is probably a pretty dumb question after thinking about it…. but Im gonna ask it anyway.

    Winnie–

I never see your opinion on your blog…. do you not post or do you post under an pseudonym?

    pseudonym = different name :twisted:

it is a dumb question because if she does post under a different name then we will question all other names…… pretty confusing lol

  2. Stacee Says:

Tom Cruise on Jan 8th??? That might be interesting.
The movie (Valkyrie) he’s in looks good. I’d like to see it.

  3. Winnie McCarthy Says:

I only post under my name.

  4. Holly Says:

So you’re not MaryHartman on TWOP?

  5. ShannonP Says:

I am interested in how Tom Cruises interview goes. He is one that the media goes to such an extreme on, that I’d really like to know what the real person is about and how much of it is just how they portray him vs. what he’s really like. Don’t know if I’ll get any glimpse of that watching them interview him, but I’m interested in it.
I can guarantee you one of them, Barbara if she’s there, will put on the so sad look and say they hate to but they just have to ask about John Travolta and the loss of his son since Tom knows him.

  6. Winnie McCarthy Says:

Holly: No. I do have an acct at TWOP under my own name, although I never post on there. I usually only stop by to read when someone links to my site and I want to know the context. (My site meter report shows incoming links)

  7. Roger from Ohio Says:

it would drive me nuts to have a blog and not comment on all of us nut jobs that come here.

    LMAO

  8. heatherspeaks Says:

    this week’s guests look interesting.
will definitely tune in for tom cruise.
winnie, i apologize if any of my comments have had a negative tone.
i admit that i “took the bait” on occasion regarding some comments.
i should’ve been the bigger person and ignored them altogether.
sorry to see off-topic threads go. but i understand.
why, oh why, do other’s behaviour ruin it for others? :(

  9. Roger from Ohio Says:

It is a shame that the off-topics will be gone, It was my favorite time of day… it felt like my own little hot topics

I do understand why you are taking it away, if you cant play with your toys correctly then the toys will be removed.

I really am sorry that some of my comments attributed to the negativity that caused the removal of the off-topic thread.

You wont be losing me Winnie…. and Ill do my best to stay on topic.

    Thanks for all you do.

  10. diane10 Says:

I agree that this week’s guests look interesting. I will also tune in for Tom Cruise.

Heather, no one needs to apologize for posting their honest feelings and political viewpoints. We can all go to other sites to engage in freedom of speech on political viewpoints, religion and current events. There are some very good sites to visit if one wants to engage in this type of exchange of ideas.

Thank you, Winnie, for keeping this site about The View. I hope you will continue to write letters about Barbara Walters and Elisabeth Hasselback showing your displeasure in how they conduct themselves on this show. By excerising your freedom of speech, it may get the attention of the producers to make the necessary changes in making The View a better show.

  11. Stacee Says:

I’m a bit surprised they had Perez back. I recall the last time he was a guest, it was rather … heated. I’m not sure why they’d want him back, or why he’d return. Must be money? Publicity? Or skimpy choices in guests, lol.

  12. NanW. Says:

    Winnie,
Thanks for all you do. Although I do not watch the View any longer, I do come here to see what is happening…it is easier to take in this format! And I do enjoy seeing what other people think of the show.
On one hand I will miss the off-topic thread and on the other, not at all.

  13. heatherspeaks Says:

    stacee,
i missed the previous show w/perez. why was there tension?
he strikes me as a type of person who enjoys negative gossip.
i guess that’s a given in that field.
any positive gossip would be boring i guess.

  14. rainlillie Says:

I hope Tom is only interviewed by two of the hosts. It would be nice to hear what he has to say.

  15. Stacee Says:

    Hi heather. :-)
What I remember was the hosts were all pretty confrontational towards Perez. They took issue with how he refers to EH as well as the celeb stories he writes on his site.

It was a contentious interview. Very uncomfortable, IMO.

  16. Stacee Says:

I agree, Rain. One or two hosts interviewing would be ideal.

  17. diamondlil Says:

    Winnie
Sorry to see the off topics go but as Diane10 stated, there are so many good sites available where one has the freedom to discuss ones views and opinions. I’m not interested in bashing the View ladies and discussing how bad EH comes across. Therefore, I leave your site and give you thanks for allowing us the opportunity to express our honest opinions. God Bless the friends (and enemies) I made on this site.

  18. heatherspeaks Says:

thanks stacee. i didn’t know. wow, he must’ve said some pretty rude stuff.

  19. diane10 Says:

I’m officially off, too. The View insults my intelligence and it is hard to read the immature comments. It’s pointless and serves no productive purpose. My feeling is that if you have such negative responses to each show you need only to stop watching. In that way, The View can have the rug pulled out from under them and then they will be shut down.

We should all learn a valuable lesson from the Open Thread being closed and that is if you don’t like what people are saying make it impossible for them to exercise their freedom of speech. That should apply to The View as well. Seems to be a new trend and not a very admirable one.

    Ciao

As far as their ability to interview guests on the show only one person is even remotely qualified and that would be Barbara Walters. WG, SS, and JB are pathetic as hosts and interviewers.
