Must be a mistake. I don’t see Sen. Obama or Michelle Obama scheduled. I don’t see any of their children. I don’t see any clips from the Democratic National Convention. I don’t even see any silly donkey tricks.

    That’s rather a, how should I call it, A ONE-SIDED VIEW!

Keep it up Bill Geddie and Ms. Walters. What you resist persists.

  2. Angela Says:

Elisabeth is one of those people who will grin in your face and talk about you in a heart beat behind your back. The show was a much better when she was not on the show…

Whoopi & Sherri I take my hat off to you for putting up with her whinning azz..

  3. Lorraine Says:

Oh MY God!!! Awesome show so far today. They shut her whining down with intelligent conversation by Barbara, Whoopi and JOY!!! Awesome………..The only one who doesn’t know how to have an informative conversation without screaming is Elisabeth. She needs training…..

  4. Pam Says:

I find it very sad that our country has gotten to be so disrespectful! Let the candidates talk about the issues without your interpretation. WE DON”T NEED to hear YOUR thoughts! All of us are bright enough to make up our own minds. Whatever happened to Fair and Balanced?? I am disappointed that 5 very bright women would set such a disappointing example for the rest of us!! How you treat others is how they treat you!!!

  5. rainlillie Says:

BW was on point today, I agree everything isn’t sexism. Palin shouldn’t be treated any different than the way the male candidates are treated. I disagree with Joy, Palin should not get a free pass.

  6. Lynn Budner Says:

    Joy,
Amazingly you finally admit Bush kept us safe for eight years. That is a HUGE deal and you shouldn’t ever take that litely. The housing market is not Bush’s fault. It is the lending institutions fault. And regarding Palin’s daughter’s pregnancy, we can thank liberal democrat Bill Clinton for his influence on casual sex among kids of today. Bush has had more to deal with in 8 years than any other president and although no one is perfect which you seem to expect, I give him so much credit for everything he has done for our country. Without safety we have NOTHING. Elizabeth, you are the only one who really gets it. Barbara, I LOVED your book Audition. You are a remarkable woman.

  7. Sharon Says:

I watch as often as I can from my office while I have lunch. Someone needs to just smack that blond! She gives me indigestion! Her credibility(?) goes down the tubes every time she opens her mouth - because she just can’t speak in a lady-like manner and not interrupt her co-hosts. A little respect goes a long way. She chooses to maintain her presence on this show where the other women are known to have very different views. She could get a lot more respect for her views if sh’d watch her delivery. Ok, so I watch because I have much more in common with Whoopie than Elizabeth, but she might have a point now and then - BUT WHO CAN HEAR IT?????

It also might be smarter of her to reserve judgement of some of these politicians until they, in fact, do come on the show or do actual interviews instead of composed soundbites. The Conventions are all show and very little tell. They are all big pep rallys - like in high school! They are about getting people excited to get out the vote. Decisions about who will run are made prior to. Does she think running the country is anything like a convention? I think what Joy said about wanting to hear unscripted answers first hand - on the show - is a good thing. I hope they all are brave enough to do so between now and November.

I for one would like to ask Ms Palin if she has found the Pitt Bull tactics useful in her professional life. As a woman who fought back in the day for her to have an easy path to Governor (- and that of course brings up other questions -) I have been working in a good old boys field for over 25 years (construction). I was the only woman in my class in Architectural school. If I have learned anything it’s that Pitt Bull tactics get you absolutely nowhere. And no respect and a lot of animosity. I learned from my predecessors the “kill ‘em with kindness” method. Lipstick is not required…kindness, honesty, and fair play are. Like my Mom used to say - don’t give the boys anything bad to say about you. It’s worked for me. Maybe someone could ask her about this for me.

  8. Yellow4Ro Says:

Did anyone else catch the promo for tomorrow’s show with Mr. and Mrs. McCreepy? I think it said the show would be live. Was I hallucinating and heard it wrong? LOL ;-)
I thought all Friday shows were taped. Hmmm, guess this is more right-wing pandering. Old BG doesn’t even try to hide it anymore. Will Neo-Blondie be able to curb her enthusiasm. Somehow I doubt it!

  9. Deborah Says:

I think EH is just hoping for an open ended invitation to the White House if McCain gets in.

She is so transparent. She is so unprofessional. Lets watch while she gushes over McCain today. I am sure Hannity will have her on shortly as well to regurgitate all that happened.

  10. Vendella Scott Says:

One of the wonderful things about living here in these United States is that we have the freedom of speech (for now),however I like Whoopie would have to ask if McCain would appoint Justices what interpet the constitution as it was written by our forefathers…..What does that say about backwards thinking?? As she pointed out the Constitution has been changed in areas that we as African Americans should be concerned about if this is truly his intentions. We can dance around the subject all we want to and trust I want to have more detailed information on what Obama intends to do regarding this economy problem also. However after talking to folks and hearing the “Bubba Bubble” theory I would have to ask what happened to “One Nation Under God” because if it was truly a matter of showing how much we have evolved as a people,we would be focusing on the real issues and at this time Obama has Mccain beat hands down.

  11. Christine Says:

I saw the interview with the McCains and donot see where there was any harsh treatment to the McCains during the interview with the women of the view. McCain could be the next president of our country and as the american voter, we need to know his stand on the issues.
Mrs. McCain is a lovely woman however, she campaigns with her husband and critcizes other opponents,so why should she receive any passes. She is to be commended for her work around the world to help the less fortunate.
I expect to see the Obama’s held to the same standard and hard questions, if they should appear on the view in the near future.
Like everyone, I donot agree with all the views expressed by the women on the view, however, I respect their rights and if I don’t like their opinions, I have a remote to change the channel.
I never appreciated the media’s view of Elisabeth because her voice was just as important as the other women on the view. However, I watched the Republican and Democratic conventions. I needed to compare the two with my own eyes and ears. Each convention was politics as usual and much of the remarks on both sides was to be expected. I also watched coverage of both conventions on several stations and saw the interview with Sean Hannity of Fox News with Elisabeth. At one part of the interview Hannity and Elisabeth attempted to define “community organizer” as it related to Obama. To demean Obama they laughed because they did not know ” What a community organizer is “.
I personally know three ladies who were community organizers. They would go into the community, see people lacking decent housing, inadequate food supply, lack of education and many other daily needs. So, they decided to start a committee, to address the concerns of the low income people. They traveled to Washington D.C and met with Senators to acquire funding for decent housing. They traveled to Atlanta Ga.and Chicago Ill to get information of how programs started in those communities assited low income americans. They met with the local Mayor and City Council to receive support for their programs. Thankfully, the years of travelling and many meetings paid off. Money was acquired from the Federal government and the public sector , decent housing was built, a senior citizen buliding renovated and so many daily needs for the low income. These ladies had only an elementary school education, but hearts filled with love and the desire to improve the living conditions of fellow americans in their community. Sometimes, as they would say when the arthritis flared up ” we travel with our friend Ben Gay “. Also, they found the time to attend educational classes, distribute food at Thanksgiving and give parties for the children at Christmas and Easter Egg hunts.
One of community organizers was my Mom. Mom has passed on, however, she left many people who benefited from her “community organizing”.Of the other two, one has passed on and one is in assisted living. At the time of their “community organizing”, they were in the golden years ( 60 + ) in the 1980’s.
I know Hannity and Elisabeth meant to demean Obama, but their comment is offensive to thousands of “commuity organizers” , who each day tackle the system to help our less fortunate americans. I did not write this to change the mind of Hannity or Elisabeth, but to give them one example of a “community organizer.
Anyone who would like to view the remarks of Hannity and Elisabeth go to Fox News website and click on ‘Hannity & Colmes’.
