  6. mibi Says:

sad face for winnie i hope you had a great vaca and enjoied yourself anyhow.

the debates lok at BW telling Joy she cant be objectives.

oh yes an kissinger did say we should meet no precoditions but …. he ment it about lower level officals so 1/2 point ot both. since obama did sya lower level goes first.

SNL/katie interview to funny no only the palin skit btu the debate one as well. Eh saying katie curic makes them say dumd things cause biden say the wrong president durign the depression to her. please eh you can not blame the interviewwer for Palin looking unprepared.
And besided nameing the wrong person ( but making your point) is not the same has giving a fith grade answer to a question.

Second when BW said that Palin should admit she is new to things and EH agreed when in every other breath she says Palin is so ready and prepared. ugg get it together EH.
( mccain had forsight on the bank but obama get no credit with EH for his forsight.)

Why did whoppi put 2 gray streaks in her hair?

I think jeniffer hudson is great but why is she marrying “punk”? I guess he is a great guy so am happy for her.

lol aat selena gomez saying she could not talk to sherri cause she is studying to drive.

    Sorry Winnie :-(

  9. Melissa Says:

Hope you get to see The View and can give us the report here.

Did anyone notice today how EH put a quick spin on Sarah Palin falling on her face with Katie Couric? When BW mentioned it, EH attributed it to Katie’s interviewing technique, much like Katie ‘got’ Joe Biden to say that blunder about Roosevelt getting on the tv to reassure people during the Depression.

It’s SPIN 101: when your team is in trouble, just keep pointing at the other guys and distracting from the problem, no matter what.

Oddly, last week EH attributed Biden’s blunder to Biden. This week, when Palin is out there making it clear that she is incapable of being VP, EH gives Couric credit for flustering the candidates.

In case she ever reads here: EH: Your ship is going down and unlike you were with Bush, you might do yourself some good to admit it while it’s happening now….

The Republicans have to be panicking at this point: there’s no hiding the fact that Palin is not ready by a long, long shot.

I wish they had talked a lot more about it on Hot Topics today. There was a lot of fodder there between the debate and the Palin interviews.

  10. Linda Viala Says:

I would like to comment on the Heroin Abuse in Ohio segment. First, my heart goes out to those people who are addicted to the drug. Secondly, Joy had a great idea to treat the addicts with methadone. The reply was that the heroin addicts could not afford it. If they can afford heroin, they shold be able to afford Methadone treatment, which is less expensive than a heroin habit. If the addicts do have a prblem affording the Methadone, one idea to get Methadone to these addicts to help them detox, would be to let the Federal government pick up the tab. I would much rather see my tax dollars help families in trouble than to help line the pockets of CEOs and CFOs of Wall Street.
I wish these families the best of luck.
An investigation on how so maany people became addicted should be launched. The doctors who handed out oxicontin as if it was a tylenol should be locked up.

  11. rainlillie Says:

Thank goodness for Joy! Sherri had the facts about Kissinger , but was a little meek in presenting them. Whoopi talks one way on her blog and another way on the show. Joy is most authentic of the bunch.

I love the way BW said something like Palin is trying to learn a lot of stuff… Why make excuses for this incompetent, uninformed woman? It’s not even funny anymore, it’s just embarrassing. I felt sorry for her when I watched her interview with Katie. It was just painful.

  12. May Says:

I like Whoopi’s hair with silver streaks. When someone said that O’Bama added that he would send lower level folks to talk to people such as Iran leader, amadinnerjacket(sp):),EH started doing a sit-down moon walk with her arms, chanting he back-peddaled. Oh,Oh what about when McCain took “back” Palin’s remark that she would attack folks who crossed the border into Afganistan, after McCain said he would not do same? Is that not a form of back-peddaling,you twit nitwit?! Get a clue,EH!

  13. NOTIMPRESSED Says:

    Rainlillie…ITA..why are they always making
excuses for her? I guess they are too embarassed to admit she is incompetent. They
need to change the Republican Party to the
Masquerade Party..that’s all it has been from
    the beginning with Sarah.

EH of course didn’t bring up McLame’s blunders…saying the Chrmn of the FEC instead SEC should be fired and he referred to Spain as being part of South America…

EH only says and hears what she is programmed
    for.

  14. susieq Says:

let me get this straight…bw is telling joy she’s not being objective when joy was making a valid point…eh gets to spew right-wing vitriol and go unchallenged everytime she says lies about obama…i think bw might be a little jealous of joy anymore…joy seems to be the getting some primetime exposure lately (well deserved, i might add)and maybe bw doesn’t like it…and if whoopi
doesn’t get off the fence soon she’s going to have splinters

  15. Roger from Ohio Says:

IF Palin is “the best VP candidate out there” (McCain) why is it the first time she actually spoke her mind, McCain went on a Sunday talk show and said….. sticking a microphone in front of her does not mean she is making policy.
I guess when she speaks she doesnt speak for the campaign.

  16. Roger from Ohio Says:

    Susieq–

The first thing u have to understand about BW is she is a republican. Because she is a journalist, she hides her own views as much as possible. That way she can publicly call herself an independent.

  17. Roger from Ohio Says:

    Oh geez……. Im ranting now

Did anyone else notice how bitchy BW was toward Jennifer Hudson?

She kept saying that she is a singer that made it as an actress, then an actress that has put out a new album. Finally at the end, she said… are u an actress or a singer?

she was acting like she is getting too many breaks or something like that. I thought it was quite unprofessional.

    just my opinion

  18. Jenn Says:

    omg - BW a republican?? No way…..

  19. GraceKelly Says:

Barbara was very smirky today and awful to Joy. I didn’t like her too much today.

  20. Sandy Says:

So sorry Winnie, darn, I had hoped you would have gotten in.
Hope you are otherwise having a good time.

I didn’t see the show today, interesting comments.

  21. ShannonP Says:

    “winnie on twitter
I was 10. They only took first 8.”

Sorry you didn’t make it Winnie! That had to be pretty frustrating.

The only clip I saw of the show was Jennifer Hudson who I thought looked absolutely beautiful, but I wasn’t that into the song.

  22. ShayM Says:

Actually guys, BW is a Democrat. Worked w/her for a long time @ 20/20. By the way, great blogsite!

  23. Eddie Says:

    http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,429728,00.html

article about the republican being unhappy on set! I hope so! Perez Hilton also linked it.

  24. Roger from Ohio Says:

    GOOD LORD!!!

    Eddie–

Leave it up to Faux News….. this was their headline….. Elisabeth Hasselbeck ‘Really Upset’ With ‘View’ Co-Hosts

Then MOST of the story was about ROSIE.
more made up news on faux news

  25. mibi Says:

On Nov 4th I’ll be voting Mccain. I spoke with my BFF and she has helped me to see some things I missed before and I can no longer support the Obama campaign.

LMAO did that sound sincere but for real a couple of my BFFs are total conservatives. so that was for them.

I did want to point out that Obama did not backtrack about meeting other countrymen. He clearifed his point after Mccain tried to distort it. And I agreed with him when he said you can’t always make things perfect before we meet.

  26. Joyce W. Davis Says:

I was so impressed with Obama! He spoke with authority, was Presidential, addressed his remarks to McGrump and was an articulate gentleman, something we have been missing in the WH for 8 years. McGrump never looked at Obama once, not even when he shook his hand, only glancing quickly up and then to the audience. He looked like a mean, snide, rude old man

I do wish that someone would make the arguement that if giving the wealthy the tax break would cause them to spend more money and create more jobs, then what the heck happened! The worst economic crisis since the great depression and 607,000 Americans out of work, just in 2008, that’s what!. Not counting the other 7 years. Doesn’t sound like it worked to me! Time to ‘kick the bums out’.

  27. Roger from Ohio Says:

dang it…… it wont let me post

  28. Roger from Ohio Says:

For some reason it wont let me post a comment with an internet link.

So here is the post without the link.

A fun lil post for us Bush “fans”

    If u Google…. “George Bush’s gay prostitute”

you will get a wikipedia link for Jeff_Gannon

it a very interesting lil story…. shame it isnt talked about more often

  29. josh Says:

i wish lisa was on for a bit longer
but it was good to see her on the show again.

  30. msroncon Says:

I sure Jennifer Hudson wakes up.

Yes, she is marrying a Harvard educated lawyer, but come on….it was a year ago that he was professing his love for New York.

I think this guy likes the spotlight.

Jennifer needs to get to know him a little better considering she just broke up with her boyfriend.

Why are these younger Hollywood types getting married so young, without knowing their potential father of their children? Insanity

  31. Manny Says:

    EH has a free pass…sad.

I was so mad they did not call her out on Palin more..the woman HAS NO CLUE.

If Biden or Obama restricted how many interviews they did and to whom…she would be calling for their executions on the show.

Just like EH said at the RNC and was never called out for it..’What does Sarah Palin…the VP Candidate have to hide????????????’

If it’s that shes an idiot…well we know that now.

‘I’ll try to get you some info and get back to ya!’

    Quote of the freakin year!

  32. Sandy Woodward Says:

    Attention Ohioans

Obama Campaign is hiring in Ohio.

The Barack Obama Campaign is hiring deputy field organizers and campus directors for the final few weeks of the campaign. Anyone interested in applying for these positions is asked to contact Richard Becker @ becrichard@gmail.com

Remember in Ohio Election Day starts Tuesday (9/30) with the state’s first-ever early voting option.

Thanks to a 2005 law, anyone can now vote by absentee ballot without stating a reason.

Thanks to a quirk in state law, there’s also a one week window from Tuesday through Oct. 6 where people can register to vote, then cast their ballot all at the same time.

The OBAMA campaign is targeting the 470,000 college students to get them registered and voted in that window.

Cuyahoga County officials hope as many as 300,000 people vote early. Election officials in southwest Ohio say as many as 150,000 people may cast absentee ballots.

  33. Sandy Woodward Says:

*****Rosie’s Ask Ro had this on it tonight:

    lora Writes:

It’s hard to stop judgeing E.H. harshly, because shes a bully who pushes her opinions down you’re throat. I hated for u to leave but I give Whoppi credit for the dignified way she handles EH. LUV,
    L

Rosie replied — ‘i agree whoopi rocks it’

  34. Sandy Woodward Says:

    Winnie,

I’m sorry you were not one of the chosen. I am sure if they had known who you were they would have let you in and sucked up to you –big time,

  35. Sandy Woodward Says:

If anyone saw the show or a clip of Lisa Ling, I would love to know what her segment was about.

  36. Jenny Says:

    Sandy,
the lisa ling segment was the 3rd part of the hot topics and it was about how she travelled somewhere and researched familys on herron.

  37. Dee Says:

Jenn: “omg - BW a republican?? No way…..”

Her bedmates were republicans, her friends are major republican fund raisers…I bet she has NEVER voted for a Democrat in her life.

  38. Lopez Says:

    Dee,

I agree with you. The religious right has hijacked the Republican party. Most can’t separate that being prolife and for gay marriage isn’t what constitutes a Republican. If that were the case, Log Cabin Republicans wouldn’t exist.

  39. Deborah Says:

YOu can watch clips from the View at this link

    http://abc.go.com/daytime/theview/index

  40. Lopez Says:

    #36

    profile should be anti-choice
for gay marriage should be anti gay marriage

  41. NOTIMPRESSED Says:

Ref #31…you only get things crammed down your throat if you allow it. EH is the last fricking human being I would let cram anything down my throat. What a loser.
She is so full of herself. Wait until she
sees Failin Pailin get her ass handed to her
    shortly.

  42. Shannon Says:

I feel so sorry for people like you that are filled with so much anger and hatred. Elisabeth Hasselbeck is the only decent, intellligent and rational thinking host on The View and I do not know how she manages to keep her ccol day after day listening to the disgusting, self-centered opinions from Whoopi, Joy and Barbara. What a waste of time watching The View!

  43. Joyce W. Davis Says:

Shannon; And you are the calm voice of reason? It just baffles me how the repubs feed you this propaganda and you believe it. You’ve been had. America cannot withstand another 4 years of the Bush/McCain administration. I suppose you like Palen too. Do you know how to spell ‘gullible’?
