Video of Rosie O’Donnell on The Today Show
Somehow I completely forgot to watch Rosie O’Donnell on The Today Show today. I was able to find a couple clips of her appearance, although I don’t think this is all of it. There is also an additional video of the craft segment here. In the interview segment she talks about Reverend Wright and responds to Barbara Walters’ comment that she has a lot of rage.
Have you entered my contest to win Rosie’s book Crafty U?

Thanks for the videos Winnie!
That was really interesting, I wish I had remembered to watch it today

Boy, this was kind of tough to watch. It makes me realize how much I miss Rosie on the View. I liked her response to Kathie Lame’s trying to cherry-pick Reverend Wright’s sermon. Rosie was on fire on that. And thoughtful and interesting and fun on other things. What a loss for this show! Sad.
She and Kathie Lee are friends? That’s kind of a shock. Not sure what to make of that. Not a fan of KLG at all.

thanks Winnie,
I didn’t know Rosie was going to be on “Today”, although i wouldn’t have been able to watch it anyway.
We don’t always agree, but I really do like and admire Rosie. She has so many talents.
I do agree very much with her that often times passion can be seen as something it is not, such as rage. (in her case)
Rosie is most definitely very passionate about her beliefs. IMO, That is a quality, stand up for, and fight for your cause, and what you believe.

I also thought Rosie handled herself well. At first I was a little upset that she left the View, but I would rather have her leave, than be muzzled.

Rosie needs her own show again with a different kind of format. Kind of like Larry King.

PRIOR POST: Rosie needs her own show again with a different kind of format. Kind of like Larry King.
RESPOSNE: I see Joy as better at a Larry King-type gig. Rosie had/has difficulty handling opposing views too - not as badly as EH, but nonetheless, it’s not exactly a discussion where people seek to learn. But she would be great doing some kind of variety show. I loved The View the time she brought in Broadway performers (I think it was for her birthday?) I see her doing soemthing more like Ed Sullivan, or Lawrence Welk (updated and more edgy) but perhaps with a Broadway theme (or at least strong presence) and lots of kid performers.

Damn, I miss Rosie! The intelligent discussions are what drew me to the show.

I couldn’t agree with you more, Rainlillie.

Barbara Walters was speaking specifically about the rage that O’Donnell demonstrated in the make-up room where she cussed Barbara out for allegedly not defending her with Trump. And when Rosie was on The View she certainly demonstrated that she is capable of rage.
We know the difference between passion and rage. She was definately angry during some of those ‘hot topics’ when others disagreed with HER VIEW, or when she was challenged to explain her comments.
Rosie O’Donnell wrote a book called “Celebrity Detox” about how fame is like a drug. The book described how she allegedly supressed her need to be famous, YET, EVERY DAY she makes a snide remark about The View on blog. She resents that The View is actually successful without her and is clearly not “Detoxed” from the fame game. Her blog is full of quips of adoration boardering on worship and desperate fans aching for a shout-out from her which she soaks up as nectar from the gods. If that’s not enough she uses the Internet as her own private ‘family album’, posting hundreds of photosvideos of her children and posting personal information about them like their school, their dentist, and their full names and ages. THATS not normal, it puts the kids at risk of one of those deranged fans that never get their comment posted. She’s exploiting her children to feed her need for fame and adoration.

#9, your biased comments and guttersniping about Rosie speak volumes.
