Watching the View Live Radio Show This Friday!
The first Watching the View live online radio show will take place this Friday, August 15th, at 12:00pm eastern, 11:00am central time!
All the details about where to listen are below. I will even be taking callers and the information on how to call in is also below. Feel free to comment below with topic suggestions for this week’s show, although I already have a few ideas in mind.
If you cannot tune in for the live show, the show will be archived and I will give you information about how to listen to the taped version of the show after it is completed.
What: Watching the View blog talk radio show #1
When: Friday August 15th, Noon eastern time (Live 30 minute show)
Where: Blog Talk Radio (click link)
You do not need to register if you simply want to listen to the show or if you want to call in. However, you need to register with the site in order to leave comments during the segment.
To call in during the show and talk to me, call this number:
(Long distance charges will apply)
There is also an option where you can click a link that allows you to call in with your computer, rather than with a phone, although I think that feature may require you to be logged in.
When I answer your call, you will be live on the air for all to hear. I will try to take several callers as time allows. Please call or else my mother will have to and I think she would rather not. I will most likely be having a question for callers to respond to rather than just taking calls for general thoughts on the show.
IMPORTANT: You may want to visit the site prior to the show and try to listen to another show (there are many to choose from, just go to the main Blog Talk Radio page). I had to download a plug-in on my computer to be able to listen to it, so be sure you take care of that ahead of time so you don’t miss any of the show.
Questions? Feel free to leave me a comment or send me a message.

Sounds very interesting. I don’t think I’ll be able to listen at that time. I am so glad that it will be archived.
I hope that you get “many” callers, and that it goes great.

I registered. Don’t know if I’ll be able to listen live or not, but wanted to take care of that before hand just in case. Looking forward to it Winnie

I couldn’t give a crap that The View is on hiatus, but I sure miss the discussions on this site!

Winnie I couldn’t help but notice how many times you said ‘umm’ and cleared your throat. You sounded nervous.
As for the show, why waste it talking about Barbara Walters? She isn’t going anywhere, it’s her show, no matter how annoying we all think she is, (myself included) it’s not worth discussing in depth.
Here’s what needs to change on the show for it to be ‘fresh’ again.
They need to fire Sherri Shepherd immediately. She is just so unintelligent, uncouth and uninteresting. It amazes me that this stupid woman is being paid millions of dollars to talk about her ‘views’ among this otherwise intelligent group of woman. She has no view. Her only knowledge consists of what was on TV the night before.
Elisabeth..
I think she should stay. Yes, I think she is annoying, and pushes peoples buttons, but I have to admit, I always look forward to what she is going to say, because it usually leads to a show that is worth talking about.
Whoopi.. I think she would be better in Joys spot, not as moderator. Whoopi so often seems to disinterested, arrogant, sarcastic and bored whenever she is so obviously reading the teleprompters. I think deep down Whoopis heart is not into her role on the show, in fact, I always get the feeling that she is embarrased or remorseful that her movie career has fizzled and she is now a cohost among 4 other woman on a talk show… that’s a cushy job for someone like Elisabeth, but Whoopi is an academy award winning actress. Major step down for her.
Joy..
I like her. In fact, she is the only cohost that never gets on my nerves. Sometimes I think she is a little over the top with her far left liberal rants, but overall, she is the best cohost. She’s funny, smart, informed in all areas, and is the only one after all these years, that always manages to stay under the radar with the media.
Barbara….
like I said, it’s her show, she isn’t going anywhere, but I wish she would find a way to get rid of the token dum dum (Sherri) and hire someone different unlike no one they have ever had on the panel. I would like to see someone with a journalistic or tv hosting background in place of Dum Dum. Having one more conservative woman would be a plus too. I have never thought it was fair that Hasselbeck is the only conservative among 5 woman.
