Watching the View News

by

First and foremost, I want to thank all of you who have come to Watching the View this month, as October 2008, has recorded the most visits and page views of any month since the blog began in January 2007.

Due to the extremely heated and off-topic nature of the commenting lately as a result of the upcoming election, I have decided to take the advice of several readers and make a separate post area where you all can come to comment on things that don’t pertain to The View. That way those people who come here to actually talk about The View and what they discussed on the show will not have to wade through hundreds of comments of talking points, links, and rumors. The comment section on my View recaps and articles will be more strictly enforced, without me worrying about stifling anyone’s right to speak their mind. Today’s off-topic thread is here: Watching the View Off-Topic Thread October 30th.

As most of you know, since this blog’s inception I have been able to post recaps for The View on a daily basis as soon as the show ends, usually with the exception of one day a week. This has been due to my very liberal work schedule. Unfortunately, through no fault of my own, that schedule will soon be changing. As a result, the way that the recaps are handled is going to have to change as well. Some days I may be able to get a recap of the hot topics section up in the morning, sometimes the entire episode, and sometimes nothing at all. I will do my best to keep up with the site because I appreciate all of my loyal readers and want to keep this site at its current level of participation.

If you have any questions or comments, feel free to contact me.

    Thanks Winnie,
I appreciate all that you are able to do.

Winnie: Your changes sound great. Life is like that, things change. I’m sure the site will still be heavily trafficked whether you post a summary or not. We posters are all pretty hard core watchers and often don’t need the recap. We can also recap for you! If someone posting asks what happened, and it isn’t a day you were able to write much, we will fill the person in. I support you in doing what you need to in your life. Take care of yourself with your busy schedule!

I will definitely miss your recaps. I think they are more intersting than the show! lol But as they say, times change and obviously so does your schedule. I really appreciate your hard work, patience, humor and the fantastic job you do here day in and day out.
Thank you; you’ve made this place a great place to hang out and meet/interact with other “View-ers”.

Whew…………… I thought I was the only one “waiting in the wings” for a fresh start, after the Elections. I think the separate section for all the “off the topic” views, is a great idea. THANK YOU WINNIE. I may slowly creep back into the wonderful world of “True View Bloggers” and enjoy all of you again.

Great idea Winnie. It’s going to be great o post smaller comments in different threads. I actually enjoy this blog as a new poster. You are doing a fantastic job.

Sometime ago, I read that you couldn’t get into The View taping when you were in NY. My wish for you is that you do, one day. Good luck. Enjoy this site.
