“Stop the Madness”! Stop all the bail outs.
bho’s 3 Million Donors Asked to Pay Clinton Debt. bho is asking his campaign donors to pay down some of Hillary Clinton’s multimillion-dollar debt owed mostly to a polling firm.
At the beginning of November, Clinton owed $7.5 million to vendors from her failed presidential bid.
No wonder non-profit’s donations are down this year and it’s going to be worse next year. We will be seeing many non-profit agencies having to close their doors since they will have no money to help the people in their community. These are the people who will suffer, while the big CEO’s live high on the hog. Please donate to your non-profits in your community, they need you!
I would not include the following:
A number of Planned Parenthood clinics in Indiana and Illinois are offering gift certificates for their services this Christmas.
Officials say the vouchers enable people to give their loved ones “the gift of life” — that would help pay for annual checkups and birth control — but also can be used for abortions.
December 5th, 2008 at 8:25 am
19 more shopping days until Christmas!
I can’t believe how fast November flew by. And that the year is almost over!

I’ll move over to on-topic when it’s posted, but I can’t wait on this. Whoopi says, “dry as the Sahara because of menopause” and is told to cut it and go to commercial and she says as she’s going, “I’m sorry. I’m sorry.”
The word “sorry” was not used yesterday by Priggy Bitsy, who today thinks it’s “emotional cheating” to think of someone else during sex. She’s useless.
December 5th, 2008 at 10:33 am
After Thursday’s “apology” debacle, and BW’s acceptance of EH 12 second comment, I no longer will watch The View. I am also beginning to agree with comments I used to find offensive - BW IS an old woman and should retire. She is already a wealthy woman who will not live to spend all that money.
December 5th, 2008 at 10:34 am
Bitsy just described Nicole Kidman’s character in “Australia” as a priss. Takes one to know one.
December 5th, 2008 at 10:42 am
“who today thinks it’s “emotional cheating” to think of someone else during sex. She’s useless”
I haven’t seen the clip yet to see the context of that…but just by that statement alone, I agree with Elisabeth on that.

My husband and I have been married for twenty years. When it gets ho-hum or when we’ve been busy with the rest of life, sometimes the thought of somebody else spices things up a bit. I’m not with anyone else, but my husband. I’m still in love with him, so I don’t see the harm.
This is an interesting topic, sparked by something in Hot Topics, which in and of itself is amazing. I’d like to know how other people feel about this, too.
December 5th, 2008 at 11:26 am
I’d probably feel threatened if my partner thought of someone who was attainable (friend, neighbor, coworker). However, if he fantasized about a celebrity or a “faceless” person I wouldn’t be.
Btw, by faceless I mean that the image of the face is blurry and he only thinks about the rest of the body.
December 5th, 2008 at 11:33 am
Pat, hell must have frozen over, because ITA about paying Clinton’s debts. She can write a book and use the money she’ll get on the advance. It’s a tad bit tacky IMO.

Its ok if you think about me…. I wont mind… I also wont try and steal you from your hubby…. Joy is the one that I still waiting for…. but if I can help to “spice things up” for you….. have at it.
Now Im gonna watch the view, after the sentence O.J. Simpson.
December 5th, 2008 at 11:42 am
Oh, Roger, my bald husband doesn’t have to know about your long, lush lock of lustfulness. It will just be our little secret!
December 5th, 2008 at 12:41 pm
roger-
when is the sentencing supposed to happen?
December 5th, 2008 at 12:47 pm
oj simpson sentence to 15 years, but journalists are not sure when he is eligble for parole, maybe 6-9 years…too many charges and not sure which ones run consecutive. They are still figuring it out.
December 5th, 2008 at 12:49 pm
Protestors are out in front of the court building saying this is a racist verdict.
December 5th, 2008 at 12:59 pm
RE: O.J. It’s about dam time someone sees him for what he is.
RE: Roger #10..what in the hell do you see in JOY…her clothing is tacky/outdated..same
with hairdo. We all know she has cleavage but her taste in clothes sucks. She is funny but that’s about it.
RE: Mentally fantasizing during sex?..they say it is healthy.
December 5th, 2008 at 1:00 pm
On the “emotional cheating” topic…
Part of the vows say forsaking all others, until death do you part.
When you are getting off and thinking about someone else…that is not forsaking all others. And it’s not keeping you in the moment of that fun and intimacy with your spouse. It’s also just too easy.
If a marriage is at a point that people need to fantasize about others, maybe that’s the time to examine what’s missing. Maybe a time to learn some new skills.
When I make love to my husband, I want the experience to be between him and I. If we need to go outside that, either physically or mentally, it’s time to figure out why. I think it takes away from how meaningful making love is to the one you’ve agreed to share your life with when you have to think of someone else, also disloyal.
Not that I always felt this way or I’ve always been innocent, but after 15 years of experience, that is how I feel.
December 5th, 2008 at 1:01 pm
“RE: Mentally fantasizing during sex?..they say it is healthy.”
I’ve learned it’s rarely wise to listen to “they” and to go with your own beliefs instead. Who are “they” really?
December 5th, 2008 at 1:04 pm
Well said ShannonP. I think the internet has caused many relationships to have trouble if not ending in divorce. Too many reaching out for other sources than trying to keep their own love life at home happy.
December 5th, 2008 at 1:04 pm
If you have think of someone else during sex, perhaps you’re with the wrong person.
December 5th, 2008 at 1:05 pm
I think people should recognize the verdict was based on the previous crime. I don’t know anyone that would have sat on the jury and not have thought about the verdict in the murder trial. At the end of the day, he did this to himself, had he not thought he was invinsible(sp) when he found “not guilty” he wouldn’t be in this mess now.
December 5th, 2008 at 1:07 pm
Rainlillie, hell must have frozen over, because ITA.
December 5th, 2008 at 1:15 pm
NettenAZ…just like the old saying, “what goes around, comes around”. oj just couldn’t stay out of the limelight…maybe he wanted to get caught to relieve his guilt for his crimes. Who knows??? Like the Goldman’s said, at least this time, oj walked out a different court door than they did. I really felt for them to day to have to relive this all over again. How painful!
December 5th, 2008 at 1:40 pm
OJ Simpson has just become acquainted with something called Karma. It’s about time that man has had to answer for something. Unfortunatly two people are still dead.
December 5th, 2008 at 2:20 pm
Roger, you keep going with your Joy love. When I worked at a university, a friend commented that he realized he was getting older when instead of ogling the incoming freshwomen, he was checking out the students’ moms.
Isn’t the best sexual fantasy imagining someone else doing the housework for you whilst you are having fun?
I’m more into fantasizing about having super powers, but I was once having an erotic dream and I put the kibbosh on it because he didn’t have a condom. Even in my dreams it is safe sex or no sex.
Oh Winnie, your letter was linked on sucks and amazingly to unanimous kudos.

#15 NOTIMPRESSED–
what in the hell do you see in JOY
are you kidding?? she is sexy… naughty… erotically sarcastic…. and such a tease…
What you are missing NOTIMPRESSED sexy isnt about looks and style… sexy is all about attitude. Some women understand that, those are the women that become powerful, and are in control of their relationship.
Im just glad she wants me.
December 5th, 2008 at 3:02 pm
On the “emotional cheating” topic…
There isnt anything wrong with having fantasies. If my girl “needs” to fantasize about someone else Id rather talk about it to see what Im doing wrong then have her have to “hide it” Once it is out in the open and it can be talked about…. fantasy can become a very erotic part of love making
good lord….. Im starting to sound like a therapist. maybe I should write a book….. but there would have to be a lot of pictures…. then Id have to be in those pictures…… good lord….. Id get arrested, and Im way too pretty to go to jail.
I better just stay with blogging.

At the end of the day, he did this to himself, had he not thought he was invinsible(sp) when he found “not guilty” he wouldn’t be in this mess now.
I have a lot of problems with this whole thing with O.J.
First…. I think he was innocent of the murders all those years ago…. When he was found not guilty, he never should have been allowed to be put on trial for “wrongful death” because he was cleared from those charges. I feel that he lost that civil trial, not because of the facts, but out of sympathy for the Goldmans.
It is a consensus of the talking heads that have been on TV about this case, that if anyone else other than O.J. Simpson would have been charged with this crime, they wouldnt have gone to court, it would have been plead out and they would have at most got probation.
Personally, I think it was a mistake of his lawyer not to put OJ on the stand…. if he said on the stand what he said before he was sentenced, the jury maybe have had more compassion.
Think about it…. by the charges that were filed… telling someone to sit down and shut up is the same thing as tying someone up and tossing them in the back of a van.
I dont think that it is….. but the court said it was.

I can’t believe so many of you are blogging about yet another SEX SURVEY as the ridiculous Hot Topic. after Winnie smartly just pointed out the tiresomeness and lameness of this “fall back” topic of The View ! You all fell for it !
I ,too, am SICK and TIRED of the sex surveys. It demeans women, it talks down to us, its lame , its boring, and it shows no imagination or work effort on the part of the producers. Maybe Bill Geddes gets his rocks off listening to it - who knows.
I guess you also all realize that they tape two (2) shows on Wednesdays; and that 2nd show airs every Friday - thus take notice that every Friday’s show does not have really “current” topics to discuss ( as the may not be timely with the day’s news cycle). (Also, it gives them all a 3 day weekend EVERY weekend , whether they are working other gigs or not - Jesus - what job ! (BTW, thats why Bitsy will NEVER leave The View, unless its for BIG BIG bucks, plus the same 4 day a week work schedule some where else ).
That said, this is why they talk sex surveys its supposed to HOOK us all in to watching - it sounds juicy, scintillating…when there is nothing else to discuss???
BWalters….hang it up already. They need fresh blood, talent, and imagination on that show - directors, producers, hosts, etc.,
December 5th, 2008 at 3:24 pm
OK, Roger, I’ll ask. If OJ didn’t kill Nicole and Ron, who did? That crime still brings up strong feelings about that man. I think he was guilty then and guilty now.
If he wasn’t guilty back in 1994 then the police did one hell of a job of framing him. And what would there motivation have been? They had just went through the whole Rodney King thing. Why on earth would they have wanted to further enflame racial tensions?
December 5th, 2008 at 3:29 pm
Winnie complains about book promotions - and we get BOOK PROMOTIONS.
Winnie complains about sex surveys - and we get SEX SURVEYS.
Winnie - please complain about how much you would miss Elisabeth Hasselbeck if they ever publicly fired her live on The View.
Thanks -

I ,too, am SICK and TIRED of the sex surveys. It demeans women
you forget the men….. if you listen to the women on The View…. all men are just drooling horndogs that cant do anything unless they get laid.
I dont know about your men, but I dont want sex unless she does….. there is no bigger turn off than a woman that just lays there “waiting” for it to be over. Why bother?
Yes some men cheat…. surprise surprise… they cheat with women…. who would have thought.
Guess what else…. women cheat too, to hold one gender more responsible than the other is what is actually “demeaning”
December 5th, 2008 at 3:52 pm
Kelly, I was referring to the Survivor Sucks website, which is renowned for its lack of censorship.
Penelope Cruz, a former paramour of da fascinating Cruise, first came to usa attention in the Spanish film Belle Epoque, where a guy has sex with each sister. What I liked about the movie was they showed the parents still excited about getting it on.
Jennifer Aniston is a bigger person than I. I could not wrap my mind around trying to love a guy who once dated Jessica Simpson. The dumbness cooties!

#31 susieq–
OK, Roger, I’ll ask. If OJ didn’t kill Nicole and Ron, who did?
Since you ask Susieq—
I think it was a drug deal gone bad…. Remember the reason that Ron was at Nichole’s house in the first place? Supposedly, she left her glasses at the restaurant that he worked at. He remembered who she was and “out of the goodness of he heart” left work and went to her house just to return her sunglasses.
That alone is very tough to believe. Personally I think they were coke friends, and they were killed by their drug source. We will never know because the investigation stopped with Simpson.
December 5th, 2008 at 4:27 pm
Yo Rog’…Diane #30 here:
Agree w/ you on OJ…”drug deal gone bad…” . I , too < have always thought that. Remember the Nicole Bronwn Simpson’s creepy friend Fay…(cant remember her name). She was part of the whole circus back in the trial days of 1995. Sort of pretty, but creepy pretty. Wrote a tell all book…and admitted to cocaine problems while she knew Nicole. So I think you are on to something.
December 5th, 2008 at 4:36 pm
I read Faye Resnick’s book - but I still think OJ did it.
Roger - do you think the bloody glove (which shrunk when frozen), the size 12 Bruno Maglis footprint, the cut on the finger, the mysterious thump, the removed Bronco dome light and the lost bag are all plants?
I think Ron and Nicole knew each other - maybe even dated. Maybe did drugs.
Did you forget about his book, If I Did It? Or his record of abuse against Nicole? Or her concern that he would one day kill her? The low-speed white Bronco chase?
Guess how many members of the Dream Team are dead?
Johnnie Cochran
Robert Kardashian

Comment from Papadon: eforum:
“OJ’s Dream Team won a change in venue. It was brilliant if you ask me. The potential jury pool on the Westside or the Valley was way too sophisicated to buy their dog & pony defense. But the jury pool in the Downtown district was perfect!! Mostly retired postal workers and people on unemployment. Cochran got exactly who he wanted on that jury, and he did it in the legal genius style that made him famous.
The prosecution just plain got out-lawyered.”

#34 OMG marthe:
Belle Epoque is my favorite foreign flick!!
I’ve watched it a dozen times and said then Cruz would become a sensation.
And when she starred with Tom on Vanilla Sky (another Spanish film remake/Open Your Eyes), I knew he would find an excuse to dump Nicole.
I loved that film – Belle Epoqu/Beautiful Epic/The Age of Beauty – the scenery, the masquerade dance, the trumpet!!!! The parents were great – her singing!!! Her young lover…lol.
I agree about John Mayer. He sat up there with Bo Diddley the other night??????
December 5th, 2008 at 4:52 pm
I think you are wrong about drug deal. Ron did not leave work early to bring glasses to Simpsons house. His shift ended and the restaurant was closing. Also, OJ had seen Ron driving the car OJ bought Nicole. I was living in Los Angeles and one TV channel spent the entire day while court was in session, in the courtroom. The TV audience saw and heard so much the jury did not. Those are the reasons I believe OJ did the murders. Kato Kailin - how ever you spell it - knows the truth about the glove, and what happened before limo ride to the airport OJ took after the murder. Kato chose not to tell the truth and omitted lots of facts while under oast and in the witness stand.

Thats a lot to think about….. isnt it odd to freeze a glove (why would they do that?)… He could have gone over there after it happened… who knows… the cut on the finger.. when/how did it happen? dome light? lost bag? come on…. are u grasping at straws? Yes OJ was bad to Nichole…. abusive, but that doesnt make him a murderer… it does make him a dumbass.
Here is a question for you….. and be honest…. You are saying that this guy brutally murdered these 2 people, climbed into a white bronco, drove home… climbed over some fences so he could sneak in the house…. showered and changed clothes…. discarded those same bloody clothes (without getting any blood inside the bronco) got rid of all the evidence, (no blood in his drains) all in less than an hour before he was picked up to be taken to the airport.
We do know that evidence was planted…. Mark Fuhrman was fired for that as well as his racist statements.
The other things you are saying about the people on the “dream team” Guess how many members of the Dream Team are dead? How is that relevant to his guilt?
Kelly, you usually have good and thought out arguments about the points that you are trying to make… this just isnt one of them.
I hope u try and answer how he got rid of all the evidence that he brutally killed 2 people in that short of time.
December 5th, 2008 at 5:16 pm

you make a good point. you could watch CSI shows and they can take the smallest thing and find out who did it. in this case they could not. i always believe he was involve i dont believe he was the actually person who did it but i do think he know who did.
December 5th, 2008 at 5:19 pm
Okay movie recommendations. My name is not really Marthe; it is my homage to Marthe Keller. Who starred in Lelouche’s And Now My Love, an ueber chick flick. And I liked Bobby Deerfield also.
Diva is another favorite. At one point in the theater, I relaxed and put my trust in the director that he wasn’t going to pull a gratuitously nasty twist ending. Ironically, the book on which it was based had a nasty tone.
Gregory’s Girl for an honest look at teenage life.
The Coca-Cola Kid, for its whimsy.
December 5th, 2008 at 5:27 pm
Is this the same Roger from Ohio?
There was blood all over the Bronco, his socks, his blood at the crime scene, OJ’s hair found on Ron, clothes in the wash, a missing bag that his friend AJ Cowlings disposed of…but you’re right, Fuhrman did screw this up for the prosecution.
OJ also said in his book, If I Did It – that he had an accomplice – and that they just wanted to scare Nicole but he snapped when he saw Ron.
They froze the glove to preserve the DNA evidence. If you spread your fingers when pulling on a stiff glove - you can give the impression that it doesn’t fit.
And since when am I not honest? Why do I keep getting accused of that?
Research by Jacquelyn Campbell, PhD RN FAAN has found that at least two thirds of women killed by their intimate partners were battered by those men prior to the murder.
As far as the Dream Team - I wasn’t offering that as evidence - I also believe in Karma as susieq had stated.
December 5th, 2008 at 5:30 pm
Thanks marthe - I’ll have to put those in my NetFlix.

About the OJ book…. that was a crock…. I didnt read it.. but I bet I could have wrote it.
As far as the Dream Team - I wasn’t offering that as evidence - I also believe in Karma as susieq had stated.
Do you really think that if OJ were to have been found guilty that these 2 men would still be alive? another poor argument Kelly.

So the book’s a crock – but you never read it.
Roger says, “Here is a question for you….. and be honest…”
The WHOLE of what has happened to the Dream Team is bizarre.
It’s not a good argument for evidence (as I stated) but it is a perfect example of Karma, which was my point.
Mountain of evidence against OJ Simpson:
http://www.justicejunction.com/judicial_injustice_oj_evidence.htm
List of “Grasping at Straws” evidence from the trial:
Google: OJ Dream Team Wiki
(includes dome light)
-The gloves contained particles of Goldman’s hair and carpet fibers from Simpson’s Bronco.
-The left-hand glove found at Nicole Brown’s home and the right-hand glove found at Simpson’s home proved to be a match.
-The gloves were proven to be Simpson’s size. Although Simpson testified under oath that he did not own a pair of Aris Isotoner gloves, several media pictures emerged showing Simpson wearing the exact gloves.
-Paula Barbieri indicated that she had broken up with Simpson the day of the murders. She said he seemed very disturbed at the news. Phone records demonstrated that Simpson attempted to contact her shortly before the murders from his Bronco’s cellular phone
-The bloody footprints were identified as made from a pair of Bruno Magli shoes. These shoes were quite expensive and relatively rare.
-Ross Cutlery provided store receipts indicating that Simpson had purchased a 12-inch stiletto knife six weeks before the murders. A replica of the knife purchased by the police exactly matched the wounds on Brown and Goldman.
-Police discovered the dome light in the Bronco had been removed. A search of the vehicle revealed the light was carefully placed under the passenger seat and was in good working condition

WHERE IN THE WORLD IS OSAMA bin LADEN?
So far - it’s really good.
It’s by Morgan Spurlock, that guy who did Super Size Me (he ate McDonald’s for a month). He also did the documentary 30 Days - living on minimum wage in Columbus, Ohio - also very good.
My favorite part so far - he goes to the doctor for his health check-up before heading to Pakistan/Afghanistan, and the doctor says, “Where are you going?”
And he says, “To find Osama bin Laden,” flatly. LOL
And then he gets to a mall in Pakistan (?), and he walks around asking if anyone has seen Osama. But what he seems to reveal, it that there are more people like ‘us’ there, than there are people like Osama…moderates. And even though many of them have grown tired of the US occupation, many are very warm.
I think he gets within 50-75 miles of Osama.
It’s very funny – very entertaining.

I see that you are not even reading or commenting on my post. However, the glove was OT planted. OJ lost/dropped it when he hit the AC or vent or whatever as he was reentering the house. That is the bang Kato testified to. The limo was there at time prescribed, but no one answered the door. After the driver waited some time, called his employer and said no one was home - the limo company telephoned OJ’s house. At that time, OJ was back home, answered the phone and said he was in the shower and did not hear the door bell. As for the bloody clothing, OJ had plenty of time and opportunity to dump it after he exited the limo at Los Angeles airport or even if he took it on to Chicago and dumped it there. I do not believer Mark Furman was dirty. After he took the 5th, OJ’s attorneys and F. Lee Bailey could ask, say, accuse, insinuate, speculate all they wanted because Furman could not answer.

You got me, whoop dee doo
My last word about O.J. I wish they would have kept open the investigation and followed some of the other directions that the evidence pointed. We will never know the actual truth…. even if OJ came out with all the facts and produced the knife I doubt he would be believed by most people…. The Goldman family made their millions, Most everyone that surrounded the case got paid…. careers were made…. the only ones that paid a price were the dead victims.
Really sad if u think about it.
Oh… when I said my last word about it…. that probably isnt true.. Ill answer anything asked of me.

Sorry… I did read your post…. I didnt comment because…. well because I distract easily.
I was in Eugene Oregon during the trial, I watched just about the whole thing, just like you did. There is so much information going back 13 years I cant really be honest about the specific details.
I do remember them going over the time line…. one thing that sticks out and you dont address in either of your posts… that was a very messy murder scene….. who ever did it, would have had to be covered in blood…. then to get in a white bronco, covered in blood, without leaving a trace of blood in that bronco. got rid of those clothes, no trace of blood in his house, in his drains…. all in like 20-30 minutes
It isnt possible.
that was the biggest piece of evidence for me.
Also, in the civil trial…. different evidence was used…. along with a different time line.
I was reading some stuff about it after being involved in this convo, and they said the dr in the first trial said it would have taken about 20 min for Ron to be killed, in the civil trial he said it was done in 1-2 minutes…. which should be believed?
December 5th, 2008 at 6:50 pm
Roger - I agree it was a bloody scene, she was almost decapitated. As for Ron dying, I believe with the rage and hate and OJ’s comments about Ron driving the car OJ paid for, OJ stabs were so forceful and penty that a few minutes is all Ron’s murder took. OJ could have had a blanket so some such covering over the seats in his Bronco to protect it from blood stains. Or, Al Cowlings could have driven the Bronco to OJ’s house and OJ drove AL’S vehicle
home. If only the Akita could speak!!
December 5th, 2008 at 7:06 pm
Photos of the bloody Bronco near bottom of page – and testimony of OJ sightings leaving the crime scene - that were dismissed:

December 5th, 2008 at 7:08 pm
What is odd to me is all the “evidence” that you have spoken of, and Kelly has spoken of is all circumstantial. It could all be explained away… that was why he was found not guilty, there was no “direct” evidence of O.J. Simpson committing any crime.
December 5th, 2008 at 7:28 pm
The blood in the Bronco wasn’t circumstantial – it was actual.
Point there – Cochran planted the seed of doubt with the mishandling of the evidence (no gloves, improper storage, missing vials of blood, Fuhrman)…hence, the evidence could have been planted. The blood connects him to the crime scene.
But Cochran gave the jury their reasonable doubt.
By-the-way: just a point of interest, Fuhrman went on to solve the Moxley murder.
December 5th, 2008 at 7:42 pm
Roger
Could it be that the reason he was found not guilty was because the Jury was predominently african american and the Rodney King incident was still fresh in their minds?…Just a thought.
December 5th, 2008 at 7:48 pm
not to step into your convo - but it’s an interesting read…
If OJ was not guilty, why the hours-long Bronco chase? hmmmmmmmm? The not-guilty do not flee.
December 5th, 2008 at 8:12 pm
What is wrong with our judicial system? You can murder 2 people and get off scott free, but strong arm someone in a hotel room, and you get 33 years….Where’s the justification?
December 5th, 2008 at 8:18 pm
IMO, oj is guilty. There is no way that jury was ever going to convict him. When some of the jurors came out and said it wasn’t about domestic abuse they were so wrong…Nicole was abused terribly by oj, and when oj found he could no longer control her, that’s when he lost it…many abused women are killed when they try or do leave the relationship. That is the most dangerous time for the victim. I think there were drugs involved because of Kato and oj supposedly purchased some before oj went on his murderous rampage. I think oj had help in getting rid of the evidence either by al c. or possibly his own son. I’ve always thought oj might have stripped down before he got into the bronco and wrapped his clothes into a bag or something. Someone else knows what happened, and hopefully his conscience will get the best of him before he takes it to his grave. I think Kordashan (sp?) knew, the look on his face during the verdict told it all.
December 5th, 2008 at 8:28 pm
The glove not fitting was a big set up in the trial and the prosecution walked right into it. Some say oj’s hand was swollen due to not taking his arthritis meds, and then when you put on a rubber glove and spread your fingers apart so you struggle to put it on, was a joke. That glove very well fit the night of the murders. He planned to kill Nicole and Ron just happened to walk up the sidewalk at the time he was attacking Nicole. Who wears a cap and gloves in summer weather in LA? The other sad thing about oj killing them, was his children were asleep in the house and could have very well woke up and saw their daddy killing their mother. He didn’t care…and still has no remorse. He deserves to rot in prison. I don’t think he will be playing much golf and having too many women by his side.
December 5th, 2008 at 8:56 pm
Just read some of the comments about O.J. and his first trial. It sure brought back alot of memories as I watched it on television. I see some of you mentioned the glove.
Just recently I heard a tidbit from a guy that used to manage O.J. and at this moment I am trying to recall his name - Mike Gilbert, or something like that. Anyway, back then he told O.J. not to take his arthritis medication which caused O.J.’s hands to swell up, making the glove not properly able to fit Simpson during that trial years ago.
And as Cochran said, ‘IF IT DOESN’T FIT, YOU MUST ACQUIT.’
December 5th, 2008 at 9:18 pm
Greta has an hour on oj and Kato, Mark F., Mike G., Gloria A are all on.
December 5th, 2008 at 9:46 pm
Looks like Pat and the Pips are the only ones here tonight?
December 6th, 2008 at 4:49 am
I tried to post this last night – but it wouldn’t go through?
According to Faye Resnick’s book, Nicole had an affair with OJ Simpson’s bud and fellow football star, Marcus Allen. He was young and handsome and OJ was already jealous of him.
http://www.highbeam.com/doc/1G1-60781767.html
Faye thinks that is the reason OJ went and bought the knife…OJ found out about Marcus. Nicole and OJ had tried to reconcile a few times. Nicole and Marcus hid their affair, because she knew OJ would blow his top, and Marcus was married.
OJ had also spied on Nichole before…watched her in an intimate act with another man…that’s when the famous 911 recording took place.
Also, with the bloody glove, it was frozen and thawed several times, which caused it to shrink. If OJ also had swollen hands, no wonder the glove “didn’t fit.”
(I typed AJ Cowlings earlier – meant to type Al Cowlings)
One other thing in Faye’s book – when OJ attended Nicole’s funeral he approached the casket and said something (my book is buried in a box somewhere – so this is not an exact quote)… OJ said something to the effect: Look what you made me do.
December 6th, 2008 at 12:50 pm
No one will ever convince me that oj didn’t kill Ron and Nicole. One of the dream team lawyers was heard saying when asked if oj did it, the response was F___ yes, he did it.
Pictures of him wearing the famous gloves that they even had a store receipt for them and the “Ugly Ass Shoes” that oj said he’d never wear. Then the race card was brought into the trial and days went by when Nicole and Ron’s name was never mentioned…it was the trial of Mark Furmann. Judge Ito was a joke and the prosecution blew it. Chris and Marsha were not the ones who should have tried this case. This so called “trial of the century” made a mockery of the justice system, and just showed how money and celebrity status won the case. oj was in trouble several times after that, and it was just a matter of time that he screwed up big time to finally land him in prison. I know the murders were not to come into play in this new trial, but I think even oj knew that he didn’t have a chance in hell! The past finally caught up with him, and fair or not, I’m glad he will remain (hopefully) the rest of his life in a cell. Maybe he will find GOD, and become born again…if he ever believed in the first place. He now needs to make his amends because his next jury is made up of only One.
December 6th, 2008 at 1:02 pm
Really Pat??
The past finally caught up with him, and fair or not, I’m glad he will remain (hopefully) the rest of his life in a cell. Maybe he will find GOD, and become born again…if he ever believed in the first place. He now needs to make his amends because his next jury is made up of only One.
So you hope that he “finds god” so he can be born again…… so you want to spend eternity in “heaven” hanging out with O.J. Simpson?
You think the he committed a double murder…. why dont you think he should be punished for that in the afterlife?
December 6th, 2008 at 1:09 pm
Actually rog, finding GOD in prison seems to be what many murderers do, so I said it sarcastically when referring to oj. I truly doubt he will ever be remorseful for the double murders, in his own mind he feels they deserved to die. I truly hope he burns in HELL. I’m sure you won’t see me hanging out with oj in HEAVEN, anymore than Nicole and Ron.
December 6th, 2008 at 1:33 pm
The real question is has BAWA ever done the nasty with him?
December 6th, 2008 at 1:34 pm
oh, by the way rog…hope you caught Michelle on Fox News yesterday…she was great. She appeared on Neil Cavuto’s show. Oh wait, that’s right, you said she was fired from FOX NEWS???? Imagine that, must have been a taped show from the past?
December 6th, 2008 at 1:35 pm
I bet she would have if it would have won her an interview with oj.
December 6th, 2008 at 3:05 pm
Pat–
Im sure Michelle Malkin is back on Faux News…. there are so few conservative any more that they have to get back the ones that they fired.
Nothing lasts for ever…. There arent any right wing nut cases that are ever held responsible for the bad behavior and incorrect info that they pass along.
I wouldnt be surprised if she gave a little sumthin sumthin to get back on her show…. it has been said more than once that she does her best work on her back.

“Yeah, we work with n*&&ers and gangs. You can take one of these n*&&ers, drag ‘em into the alley and beat the shit out of them and kick them. You can see them twitch. It really relieves your tension.” -Mark Fuhrman
“When I argue with 20-year-old Republicans, they don’t believe me when I say that Mark Fuhrman, a FOX news Contributor now, is the WORST kind of flaming racist and it reveals much about FOX news that they ally themselves with this man.”
Mark Fuhrman currently serves as a forensic and crime scene expert for FOX News Channel.
“You might say that, being a cop, Mark is exposed to the worst of the Black race, but he hated blacks and Mexicans, both as suspects and as colleagues.”
“Why did Robert Shapiro ask Fuhrman if he had used the word, nigger, in the past ten years? It was common knowledge:
‘That’s the guy who found the bloody glove?’ Mr. Deutsch said to his wife. Mr. Deutsch happened to be familiar with the detective from a case in which police officers shot a black robbery suspect and then, Mr. Deutsch believes, planted evidence against him. After the newscast, Mr. Deutsch put in a call to Robert L. Shapiro on the Simpson legal team. He reported that the detective had once applied for a stress disability pension and had told psychiatrists that he had tortured suspects and hated ‘n*&&ers.’” -Robert Deutsch From a New York Times review

If Fuhrman planted evidence in the OJ Simpson murder trial - then he framed a guilty man…IMO.
December 7th, 2008 at 9:24 am
Sorry - didn’t mean to leave the n-word in the last post.
Fuhrman’s Bio at Fox News:

“…Mark Fuhrman, a FOX news Contributor now, is the WORST kind of flaming racist and it reveals much about FOX news that they ally themselves with this man.”
December 7th, 2008 at 9:27 am
“Much of the white community, and Ron Goldman’s father, felt it was irrelevant to the case that Mark knew OJ Simpson, had arrested him before, and stated many times that he hated, abused and framed the black men he dealt with. You might say that, being a cop, Mark is exposed to the worst of the Black race, but he hated blacks and Mexicans, both as suspects and as colleagues.”

December 7th, 2008 at 9:55 am
That info would be correct, as Mark Fuhrman moved to IDAHO after the trial in 1994 to get away from black people as I know it. He was always a racist and will remain so 4ever and he will go straight to H*E*L*L* too…or so I hope.
December 7th, 2008 at 10:19 am
I wonder if Fuhrman and OJ will be bunkmates in hell.
They don’t call it ‘hell’ for nutin’.
December 7th, 2008 at 11:09 am
Roger – I understand your distrust of cops. I had a step-father who was a drunk cop who had the protection of the force behind his crazy, violent behavior.
When I attended college, a college police officer killed a nursing student (you probably know about this - Melissa Herstrum). He ‘arrested’ her for driving past his barricade, handcuffed her, drove her to the jr campus and shot her several times. He had been to my college apartment – we knew him growing up – he seemed normal enough.
And then there are the Mark Fuhrmans of the world.
I had a classmate who was Tasered to death by police offers – while he was handcuffed and in their facility (you probably heard about this too). Years earlier, they chocked him while handcuffed, cutting off his air supply, and caused permit bran damage – for which he was awarded a cash settlement. A few years after that court case – they killed him by repeatedly Tasering him. The local coroner ruled in favor of the cops – saying he just had a bad reaction to the Taser because of drugs in his system…his fault for taking drugs. Cops aren’t trained to handle mental illness, which of course was exasperated by the brain damage they inflicted on him years prior.
The War on Drugs is much like the War on Terror – both created by our government – both encourage MORE of the very thing they claim to be eradicating.
We nearly became a police state and a church state (like Saudi Arabia) – we came so close to total collapse.
Watch WHERE IN THE WORLD IS OSAMA BIN LADEN – you’ll see how badly we played right into Al-Qaeda’s hands.
December 7th, 2008 at 11:14 am
…they CHOKED him while handcuffed
December 7th, 2008 at 12:08 pm
Remember our Military Vets today and the sacrifices they made so we can be free. God bless them all.
December 7th, 2008 at 12:28 pm
I do remember them Pat – which is why I voted for Obama. I want them home.
I see you’re not interested in the innocent killings of civilians overseas…just here in the USA?
I don’t blame our troops - I blame the Bush administration. Big Difference.
Since the War in Iraq, there have been more acts of terrorism worldwide than in the 20 years leading up to it.
And today, there are known terrorist cells in more than 100 countries around the world…despite the US spending $500 BILLION on the War on Terror. A problem once isolated in Afghanistan, is now homegrown all over the world. Target: USA and all our allies.
Are we eradicating terror…or are we exploiting it?
December 7th, 2008 at 1:45 pm
We wanted our troops home during WWI, WWII, VietNam, etc. We will always be at war until the U.S.steps back and let countries fight their own battles.

“Watch WHERE IN THE WORLD IS OSAMA BIN LADEN – you’ll see how badly we played right into Al-Qaeda’s hands.”
ITA! Abu Ghraib and the invasion of Iraq was a dream come true for Bin Laden. The United States being labeled as a country that engages in torture was the icing on the cake.
It also didn’t help that the right-wing parrots used the term “he’s a Muslim” against P-e Obama as if it were a slur. Tell me again what message did that send to Muslims around the world? The folks who we’re going to need in this fight.
December 7th, 2008 at 2:46 pm
#88 ITA
Muslims are 1/5 of the world population. What happens when the US encourages fear of Muslims?
And this from Tehran Times:
Bush: A disgraceful legacy…
You have to admire President George W. Bush, who on January 20 will leave behind him what is arguably the worst U.S. presidential legacy ever. No sleepless nights over a global economy in freefall for him. No conscience haunted by the millions of souls, whose lives have been ruined for ever due to his misadventures in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Seemingly no concerns about his 24 percent approval rating, meaning he is more unpopular than even President Richard Nixon prior to his leaving office. Watergate was an almost inconsequential misdemeanor when viewed through the prism of Bush’s secret executive orders, attack on civil liberties and wiretapping. And neither does he appear bothered that the media portray him as a buffoon, as anyone who tunes into Jon Stewart’s Daily Show or Letterman can attest.
Superficially, at least, he displays no regrets, no contrition.

December 7th, 2008 at 3:12 pm
More from Tehran Times:
Poll after poll evidences that 80 percent of Iraqis want a pullout now. In truth, it’s pretty amazing that one in four Americans still think he’s done a good job. We used to call Britain’s Tony Blair “Teflon Man” but no one deserves that tag more than Bush. Just cast your mind back to 2000 for a moment.
Then, America was wallowing in a fiscal budget surplus of $230 billion. Today, the country is drowning in a deficit of $455 billion and growing. Then unemployment stood at 3.9 percent. Now, it’s hovering around 6.5 percent.
In 2001, 32.9 million people were living below the poverty line. By 2007, that statistic had risen to 37 million. In 2000, it was estimated that there were two million homeless Americans. There are no figures for 2008 but amid mounting foreclosures there are growing reports of tent cities springing up and families resorting to sleeping in cars.
Moreover, 28 million people are now reliant on government food stamps to purchase essentials, said to be the highest number since the 1960s when the program was first introduced. With a credit crunch still biting, banks and financial institutions failing and stock markets headed south, Americans — or at least a quarter of them — must be the most forgiving people ever.
The rest of us aren’t likely to be as charitable. Those of us who value human dignity will not forgive the indignities suffered by people deprived of habeas corpus and tortured in Guantanamo, Bagram, Abu Ghraib and an untold number of other U.S.-run or — backed gulags around the world. Furthermore, we cannot forget Bush’s hollow promises to bring a Palestinian state into fruition by the end of this year when his lack of effort makes clear he had no such intention in the first place.

Kelly,
You are so well read. How much you want to bet that folks like TLB are going to say something like why should we care what terrorists like the Iranians think of us?
The thing is the Iranian people were very pro-America. They were with us after the attacks on 911. This is a global fight and we are going to need help from people all around the world to try and prevent future attacks.
It’s kind of hard to get people to put their lives on the line, when you’re seen as the aggressors. That is the image that this administration has created. Hopefully P-e Obama will restore our moral standing along with our image.

Rain - If anyone can rebuild the good reputation of America – it’s Obama..and the American public.
Asia Times
Obama team promises ‘new dawn’
WASHINGTON - Introducing the top figures in his national security team in Chicago on Monday, United States president-elect Barack Obama promised a “new dawn of American leadership” that will be marked by much greater emphasis on diplomacy and multilateralism than the incumbent George W Bush administration.
December 7th, 2008 at 4:08 pm
One huge thing that would help a lot to rebuild the Reputation of America would be to investigate, and prosecute if necessary, the Bush Administration.
Im sure that many files and “evidence” has been destroyed or “lost” but there are many more that werent. All of that information could be accessible to a “special investigator” of Obama’s choosing. (maybe Edwards?)
For all of you Bush “supporters”, you should want this as well…. that way your “guy” would be able to be exonerated. The “truth” could then be let out and then Bush’s actions could be justified.
If they didnt do anything wrong, then lets show that…. if they did anything illegal, then lets hold those people responsible.

Kelly- If you would spend more time reading the scripture and less time reading the Tehran and Asia times, you would realize that ObamaBinBiden isn’t going to fix the problem, he’s going to be the problem.

Lost Files???? Oh the clinton’s lost files…where are they anyway….Vince Foster? Whitewater??? And now they are both back in the White House…maybe they will find the lost files next to President Bush’s….amazing….
December 7th, 2008 at 5:34 pm
“ObamaBinBiden”
I’m sure that’s a typo. To associate the name of our next president with a man who has caused and created death and destruction around the world is beyond despicable!
Roger, I agree those who engaged in and authorized torture and Rendition should be held accountable.
What the hell does Vince Foster and the Clinton’s have to do with the torture of detainees?

No one can accuse bho of being tight with cash.
In the final weeks of the campaign, bho spent $147 million on, among other things, aging rockers, temporary tattoos and Google ads, the New York Daily News reported.
The Daily News cited federal records that show bho hired Jimmy Buffet and the living members of the Grateful Dead for a fund-raiser. The campaign spent $4 million to get its message across though ads on Google.
And those 400,000 temporary “bho” tattoos? The tattoos were sent to 66 different bho offices around the country in late October in time for Halloween, the Daily News reports.
bho also dropped $62 million on TV ads, $9.4 million on additional online ads and $4.4 million more on print ads.
December 7th, 2008 at 6:02 pm
In a few short days this country is going to elect a new president of the United States, and quite frankly I am terrified. I am one of those baby boomers that grew up being taught, both at home and at school, that this was the greatest country in the world. I grew up knowing that our forefathers had shaped two of the most enviable documents in the world — the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. I grew up believing that if I worked hard enough, that I would have the opportunity to do and be anything I wanted.
And now we learn that Barak Obama thinks these revered documents are flawed. According to recently “discovered” tapes made by Obama, the senator feels that the Constitution is a poorly written document that does not give the federal government enough power to change the lives of its citizens! He also feels that the Supreme Court has not only done a poor job of redistributing wealth, but that they have not advocated enough on behalf of its citizens. Call me silly, but I thought the court’s job was to interpret the law, not make it.
So let me see, thanks to these very same “flawed” documents, Barack Hussein Obama, has enjoyed the opportunity to run for the highest office in the land, despite being the most inexperienced candidate ever to run for office. His background is murky, and yet he, having the good fortune to study constitutional law at one of the country’s most elite institutions, has decided that the constitution — OUR constitution — is flawed!
What I find truly amazing is that our supposed unbiased media, is mum. After all, isn’t the media the first one to assert the constitution’s first amendment rights whenever they want to tear into someone’s life, business or go after a government entity that they don’t agree with. Aren’t they even a little concerned about these new revelations and how Obama’s views might affect their future ability to do their jobs? Unfortunately, those of us who actually love our country’s history and try to follow what passes for news these days, have discovered that the media does not care. Why would they? They have been both cheerleader and active campaigner for this candidate. They are not about to ask questions that might make their candidate look bad. If any of you have any doubts about what this man’s agenda is going to be over the next four years, then you are naïve at best, or just plain stupid.
If the media and Obama followers think that this man has the country’s best interests at heart, all you have to do is look at his campaign. There is an old saying – just follow the money. Obama has raised more than a half a BILLION dollars to fund one of the sleeziest campaigns in political history. He has aligned himself with the community organization known as ACORN that is currently either being investigated, or has already been indicted for voter fraud in more than 15 states. We are also hearing that as much as $60 million dollars of his campaign money has come from suspicious sources, including foreign entities. He has enjoyed close relationships with very extreme radicals such as Jeremiah Wright, Father Flagler, Bill Ayers and Saul Alinsky. All of these issues would be “red meat” to the media if Obama was a Republican, yet they are barely mentioned by his media chums.
I would like to remind those in the press that you should be careful what you wish for. You will be one of the first to cry foul when you finally see that you are nothing more than a public relations hack for this man. You see, I think that you too will discover, like citizen Joe the Plummer discovered after asking Obama a simple, yet apparently embarrassing question, that if you happen to question or disagree with anything that the chosen One says or does, you too will be vilified.
And guess what, by then you probably won’t recognize that “weak” little constitution that so fervently protects your right of free speech. Don’t come crying to me. You will have no one to blame but yourselves!
December 7th, 2008 at 6:10 pm
Now here is one community organizer that bho should have taken lessons from.
“Nine-term Democratic Rep. William Jefferson, who has been battling scandals and a federal indictment for the past three years, lost his bid for re-election on Saturday.
Louisiana Democratic Rep. William Jefferson has been embroiled in a bribery scandal.
Republican challenger Anh “Joseph” Cao, an attorney and community organizer, defeated Jefferson in the 2nd Congressional district race. He will become the first Vietnamese-American elected to Congress.
With 100 percent of precincts reporting, Cao had almost 50 percent of the vote to Jefferson’s 47 percent.
The 2nd Congressional district, in and around New Orleans, is mostly African-American and heavily Democratic, and Jefferson appeared to be favored to win re-election going into the election.
“The people of the second district were able to transcend party, transcend race,” Cao said after claiming victory Saturday night.”

“If we are hit again by the terrorists - a good possibility now that bho has appointed an immigration expert who knows nothing about terrorism to head Homeland Security and the man who pushed the pardon of the FALN terrorists to head Justice. The blame game will swirl about who was responsible and who let down his or her guard. Bet that Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and her people will circulate their version, even if it includes slighting the role played by bho.
And if the economy continues its nose-dive and the public turns on bho, also very likely, will putative rivals like Clinton and Richardson hold their tongues and keep their supporters from criticizing the White House. Not very likely
bho is playing a dangerous game.”

I heard Cheney’s underground bunker will be empty, maybe it will be large enough to hold all the scared little faux news watchers. You guys can sit in there and stare at the terror alert crawl on the bottom of the screen. Bring some drinks and freedom fries and you’ll have one heck of a party.

That was an interesting post….. it is a shame that it came from someone else that you didnt site.
The crux of the story, is that Obama is going to somehow damage the constitution. It is an actual shame that you didnt have these concerns while George W. Bush actually did damage our constitution. When he used signing statements to usurp the constitution and laws. He took away American’s rights in the name of security. I dont remember hearing your concerns when this actually happened, but now u talk about what if.
Oh.. About ACORN…. they were investigated and exonerated. Why werent u concerned when John McCain was a keynote speaker for ACORN, but when President Obama was you became concerned?

Babs was honored and sang at the White House. She dedicated the song “The Way We Were” to President Bush, and said she couldn’t bring herself to sing “Happy Days Are Here Again”, since there won’t be any for the next four years.
December 7th, 2008 at 8:10 pm
wow Pat.. that was pretty rude of Barbara Bush…. Mothers should nurture and support their children… especially those that are “special”
December 7th, 2008 at 8:17 pm
Barbara Bush was also Honored for having the greatest son ever who became President of the United States for 8 wonderful years and who happens to be the best President ever.
December 7th, 2008 at 8:27 pm
I guess if Time Magazine could honor Adolph Hitler as “Man of the Year” Then Barbara Bush could think that her son was a great president.
6 of one… 1/2 a dozen of another.
December 7th, 2008 at 8:31 pm
“HAPPY DAYS ARE GONE FOR 4 YEARS”"” She can really belt a song out….
December 7th, 2008 at 9:04 pm
Something to think about ……
You know what would really PISS OFF the Democrats…
Bush should resign now.
Then Dick Cheney becomes President (that would really PISS OFF the liberals)!!!
Then he appoints Condoleeza Rice as VP.
Then Cheney resigns two weeks later and Condoleeza Rice, A Republican,
becomes the first BLACK President and the first WOMAN President !!!

Condoleeza Rice, A Republican,

And the country would still be in a mess. I dont care about black or white… or man or woman…. what I care about is a leader that has American interests in mind.
If our leader makes America a better country, the whole world gets better.
Bush has shown us what happens when American interests arent put first.
December 7th, 2008 at 9:14 pm
I agree with everything you say Roger…..but BO will not be that leader
December 7th, 2008 at 9:17 pm
Rog,
Say it with me now, President Obama! Now doesn’t that sound good!
December 7th, 2008 at 9:21 pm
No Marueen, not really
Reagan did a good job setting policy…. he did a poor job paying for his policies. If you really want to investigate it, you would discover that Reagan’s policies and non funding them caused the recession of the 90s.
December 7th, 2008 at 9:22 pm
President Obama
It is fun to type too
December 7th, 2008 at 9:32 pm
What a great post:
“Comment by Anna “Merry Christmas”
December 7th, 2008 at 9:42 pm
If Bush resigned today, this is what his speech would be…..
Normally, I start these things out by saying “My Fellow Americans.” Not doing it this time. If the polls are any indication, I don’t know who more than half of you are anymore. I do know something terrible has happened, and that you’re really not fellow Americans any longer.
I’ll cut right to the chase here: I quit. Now before anyone gets all in a lather about me quitting to avoid impeachment, or to avoid prosecution or something, let me assure you: There’s been no breaking of laws or impeachable offenses in this office.
The reason I’m quitting is simple. I’m fed up with you people. I’m fed up because you have no understanding of what’s really going on in the world. Or of what’s going on in this once-great nation of ours. And the majority of you are too d@mned lazy to do your homework and figure it out.
Let’s start local. You’ve been sold a bill of goods by Democratic politicians and the news media. Polls show that the majority of you think the economy has been in the tank for eight years. And that’s despite record numbers of homeowners, including record numbers of MINORITY homeowners. And while we’re mentioning minorities, I’ll point out that minority business ownership is at an all-time high. Our unemployment rate has been as low as it ever was during the Clinton administration for most of these eight years. I’ve been trying to get Bawny Fwank and Chris “Countrywide” Dodd to pay attention to Fannie and Freddie for 5 years, but they did nothing but sit on their fannies. Since the Democrats took over your congress two years ago, the stock market has tanked, the foreclosure rates have gone through the roof, oil prices went sky high and the stock market has gone from an all time high to 9/11 levels. I’ve mentioned all those things before, but it doesn’t seem to have sunk in .
Despite the shock to our economy of 9/11, the stock market had rebounded to record levels and more Americans than ever were participating in these markets. Meanwhile, all you can do is whine about gas prices, and most of you are too d@mn stupid to realize that gas prices are high because there’s increased demand in other parts of the world, and because a small handful of noisy idiots are more worried about polar bears and beachfront property than your national security.
We face real threats in the world. Don’t give me this “blood for oil” thing. If I were trading blood for oil I would’ve already seized Iraq’s oil fields and let the rest of the country go to hell. And don’t give me this ‘Bush Lied; People Died’ cr@p either. If I were the liar you morons take me for, I could’ve easily had chemical weapons planted in Iraq so they could be ‘discovered.’ Instead, I owned up to the fact that the intelligence was faulty.
Let me remind you that the rest of the world thought Saddam had the goods, same as me. Let me also remind you that regime change in Iraq was official US policy before I came into office. Some guy named ‘Clinton’ established that policy. Bet you didn’t know that, did you?
You idiots need to understand that we face a unique enemy. Back during the cold war, there were two major competing political and economic models squaring off. We won that war, but we did so because fundamentally, the Communists wanted to survive, just as we do. We were simply able to out spend and out-tech them.
That’s not the case this time. The soldiers of our new enemy don’t care if they survive. In fact, they want to die. That’d be fine, as long as they weren’t also committed to taking as many of you with them as they can. But they are. They want to kill you, and the b@stards are all over the globe.
You should be grateful that they haven’t gotten any more of us here in the United States since September 11. But you’re not. That’s because you’ve got no idea how hard a small number of intelligence, military, law enforcement, and homeland security people have worked to make sure of that. When this whole mess started, I warned you that this would be a long and difficult fight. I’m disappointed how many of you people think a long and difficult fight amounts to a single season of ‘Survivor.’
Instead, you’ve grown impatient You’re incapable of seeing things through the long lens of history, the way our enemies do. You think that wars should last a few months, a few years, tops.
Making matters worse, you actively support those who help the enemy. Every time you buy the New York Times, every time you send a donation to a cut-and-run Democrat’s political campaign, well, dang it, you might just as well FedEx a grenade launcher to a Jihadist. It amounts to the same thing.
In this day and age, it’s easy enough to find the truth. It’s all over the Internet. It just isn’t on the pages of the New York Times or on NBC News. But even if it were, I doubt you’d be any smarter Most of you would rather watch American Idol.
I could say more about your expectations that the government will always be there to bail you out, even if you’re too stupid to leave a city that’s below sea level and has a hurricane approaching.
I could say more about your insane belief that government, not your own wallet, is where the money comes from. But I’ve come to the conclusion that were I to do so, it would sail right over your heads.
So I quit. I’m going back to Crawford. I’ve got an energy-efficient house down there (Al Gore could only dream) and the capability to be fully self-sufficient. No one ever heard of Crawford before I got elected, and as soon as I’m done here pretty much no one will ever hear of it again. Maybe I’ll be lucky enough to die of old age before the last pillars of America fall.
Oh, and by the way, Cheney’s quitting too. That means Pelosi is your new President. You asked for it. Watch what she does carefully, because I still have a glimmer of hope that there are just enough of you remaining who are smart enough to turn this thing around in 2008.
So that’s it. God bless what’s left of America. Some of you know what I mean. The rest of you, kiss my ass!”

When you raised your kids…. who did you use to quote to them?
December 7th, 2008 at 9:49 pm
Correct Maureen, If I was President Bush, that’s exactly how I would respond…He deserves so much credit for these last 8 years. What a great President. Won’t be able to say those words for at least in the next 4 years. Is it 2012 yet???/
December 7th, 2008 at 9:53 pm
Everytime I hear the “Oval Office” I think of willy boy….how disgraceful….I think it should ever be called the “ORAL OFFICE”..and now the clintons are back to soil more of the White House.
December 7th, 2008 at 9:56 pm
FYI Roger……Pat raised her children well. Infact her daughter was hit by a road side bomb while fighting for your sorry ass in Iraq. To this day she refuses a government’s disability because she’s ready to go back and fight for our freedom. So, Rog…..Pat didn’t have to quote someone else, she did an excellent job of teaching her children what it’s like to be an American.

Non- funding? Isn’t that what Michelle’s husband is going to be facing?
Yes that is what he is going to be facing…. The wars have been unfunded…. the policies that Bush has implemented have been unfunded…. Bush has reduced the tax burden for the wealthy and has borrowed the short falls from foreign governments.
President Obama, Michelle’s husband, will have the burden of correcting the unfunded policies that Dubya has enacted on this country.
That is why… if u have been listening…. President Obama has told us how he will be funding any new policies… unlike his predecessor

fighting for your sorry ass in Iraq.
There is nothing or no one in Iraq that anyone should be fighting for me….. there is no one that has caused any danger to me or anyone else in the United States.
The fighting that is going on in Iraq is being done for Bush and Cheney.
December 7th, 2008 at 10:05 pm
The troops in Iraq are not fighting for my freedom. They are fighting becuase Bush sent them there based on false intelligence. Lets have a grown up conversation and put the slogans and bumper stickers back on the shelf.
Iraq had nothing to do with 911 and by all accounts wasn’t an imminent threat to the United States. The PNAC wanted to invade Iraq since 1998, they waited and 911 opened the door for them to go in.

Isn’t is the bloggers on Watchingtheview that say Lovely Elisabeth didn’t really mean her apology? Isn’t this the same thing?
No it isnt the same Maureen. When Kelly apologized, she did it because she saw her mistake and spoke about it on her own.
“Lovely Elisabeth” meant what she said and was told to apologize a couple of days later… and she snuck it in just before brake so there wouldnt be any discussion about it.

What a day you chose not to honor our military…great respect you all have….but that doesn’t surprise me at all.
December 7th, 2008 at 10:13 pm
Kelly,
You are woman enough to admit you made a mistake. Too bad the corrupt Bush administration and their cronies can’t do the same. But, it’s all cool, the public has now realized they made a mistake for going along with this unnecessary war and voting for his sorry a$$ twice. Bush’s poll numbers are lower than Nixon’s.
December 7th, 2008 at 10:14 pm
@137 Kelly your welcome. The best part is towards the end lol.
@138 Rainlillie ITA. i’m tired of people using the troops as an excuse to call those of us against the war in Iraq unpatriotic. I have a family member and i have friends in the military. Whether they agree with the war or not, they have to go because it’s their job. And they do it effectively and bravely. They don’t get to pick and choose what wars they go to. The government and the citizens let them down. We are supposed to take care of them like they take care of us.

Democratic Congress”—wouldn’t pass anything he pushed before them—AND YOU KNOW IT.

The American People elected a Democrat Congress in November 2006, they took control in 2007.
So please tell me what policies has Bush wanted that didnt get passed in 2007 and 2008.
But his veto pen has been busy in these past months.

December 7th, 2008 at 10:30 pm
Pastor Dan Betzer: How can followers of Christ hate?
While still alive, gasping for His last breaths on the cross, Jesus prayed for forgiveness for those who crucified Him.
God loves; some people hate.
Sad to say, some people I have met boasted of hating without even knowing why.
One reason people hate is because of fear. We fear something that is different from what we are accustomed to.
The color of skin, another person’s belief system, the culture of a segment of society that differs from our’s — just anything that deviates from what we consider the “norm” is often grounds for hatred.

It seems the majority of the people in the country are like Kelly anti-Bush and pro America. Bush has managed to unite people from all walks of in life.
They had one common goal on Nov 4, 2008…Change the direction of this country and not allow McCain to continue Bush’s disastrous policies.

Rain: I think an 1inauguration party sounds like a great idea!! I’m going to host one too…
December 7th, 2008 at 10:46 pm
Pat,
You support the troops by wanting to keep them in harms way. Keeping your mouth closed when they are sent to live in inhumane conditions at Walter Reed. I’d say that’s the kind of support they can do without. So Mr. Pat if you’re such a tough guy, why not sign up and fight for what you believe in.

The troops ARE THE MISSION.
There has never been anything more false said. The Mission was to seek out, capture and kill Saddam Hussein. After our troops found and captured him, he was given to the Iraqi government to be killed…. I think the words were…. “Mission Accomplished”
You see Maureen…. the troops are used to “Accomplish” the Mission.
The problem has been there hasnt been a defined mission after they captured Hussein.

Women identifying themselves as Protestants obtain 37.4% of all abortions in the U.S.; Catholic women account for 31.3%, Jewish women account for 1.3%, and women with no religious affiliation obtain 23.7% of all abortions. 18% of all abortions are performed on women who identify themselves as “Born-again/Evangelical”.

If the Bush administration is so concerned about abortion then why are they making it difficult for women to get access to birth control? How much will women have to sacrifice to comply with their whimsies and baseless beliefs?

December 7th, 2008 at 11:37 pm
#229 Red–
If the Bush administration is so concerned about abortion…
They arent concerned about it Red…. no Republican is… Abortion is just an issue used to get people fired up for an election.
If any Republican was actually concerned about abortion, when they had control of congress and the presidency, they could have made abortion illegal. They didnt because it would have ended their issue.

Pat – you want my stance on abortion? Here it is:
I wish to God it never occurred. My heart breaks. I would like to see the morning-after pill available…as if that would solve all problems?
I believe God, in His infinite wisdom, gave man free-will.
And one day, man will stand before our Lord, and be judged.
We know not, all the ways of His will.
And when you think Pat, you know how others should live their lives, remember – it was never between you and them…it’s between them and God. You have no idea his might, and yet he spares us his influence.
YOU – don’t decide how others should live.
YOU – decide how you will live.

So should Winnie require us to report our SAT or IQ scores? If you have a phi beta kappa key your opinion counts for 5 points, if you graduated in the bottom of your class, your opinion earns 3 points [and a failed run for the presidency].
One of my grandfather’s favorite stories was to mention he graduated fifth in his high school class. The punchline was there were only 5 students.
I’m a patriot, not a mindless cheerleader.
I admire people, but I don’t worship them. Obama is not my messiah, but he is intelligent and I sincerely believe he wants to make a difference for this country. I am buoyed by his deliberative temperment.
And the military. Hey, I still have my dog tags from being born on a military base and overall they are a dedicated group. And referencing the WoW Whoopi interview I posted a link for in this week’s schedule comments, maybe some focus should be put on recruiting ballerinas and gymnasts, because they understand discipline.
But we also need to put light on the rapes, murders and incompetencies of fellow soldiers and not sweep them under the rug, like the Catholic church did with abusive priests.

OJ got exactly what he deserved. The verdict wasn’t racist. He did the crime now he has to do the time.

Pat-
If you care about all children, then you should be happy to spread the wealth to the families that need it, and support Obama’s wanting to fund early childhood education and not support Bush’s wishes to move Head Start from Health and Human Services. SInce you care about ALL children.

wendee, that’s exactly what I will be doing when bho gets a hold of my income, so no problem there. I just won’t beable to invest as much in stocks or in my 401k, my donations to charities will be limited and I probably won’t be purchasing any new cars for awhile. See, by taxing the $250,000 and over, only worsens the economy. Doesn’t make sense to me….it’s a piss poor plan IMHO.

I feel very sorry for you that you won’t be able to invest as much or buy a new car. On the other hand, I feel more sorry for people who are trying to make ends meet, have lost their jobs, their homes, their health insurance, and cannot afford a new car they need because a republican who was in office and gave the higher income brackets a break allowed that to happen. But since you care about ALL children, you shouldn’t be upset.
