      Thank you Winnie,
I found the podcast very interesting, and enjoyed hearing your thoughts.
I agree with you, it seems most of the guest are from ABC. Or it seems that way to me too.
I couldn’t agree more with you concerning Barb’s book. I had wanted to read it, was kind of looking forward to getting it. Now I feel like I know just about everything in it. Why buy it? Perhaps most people purchasing it are not regular viewers of The View. She is a very well known, and a highly thought of woman.
I found it interesting to hear, and see one of the Hot Topics researchers. It is something I never thought about. The fact that they had researchers. It does shed some light on some things for me. I think you made a very good point about this young male, where does he get his ideas about what viewers think are hot topics??. I don’t think you are reading too much into it at all. If they don’t have, they sure need an intelligent young woman or 2, doing this very important job.
      YES, Winnie as a researcher!!!
I believe that Elisabeth has many, many fans. More than some people might think. I have no doubt that Bill G. likes her, and wants to keep her. I also think, or it makes sense that she must be some sort of asset to the show. At least I hope. (As in regards to keeping her).
I personally enjoy reading your post about Rosie, and being able to keep up with what and how she is doing. So I appreciate them.
I am “so glad and appreciative”, that you decided to keep doing doing this blog. I know that it has to be time consuming, and at times nerve wracking. so thank you so very much.

    2. ShannonP Says:

It cut out at the end for me, I tried it again and it did the same thing. I could hear up to the part where you were going to answer a question you get from time to time.
So from what I did get to hear, very interesting! I really enjoyed your thoughts and they reflected a lot of mine. I had the same experience, I was going to read BW’s book but then just decided not to because of the overkill of talk about it already, I lost interest. I am really tired of hearing about the book. What new things could there be to discover that I haven’t heard ad nauseam already.
I had the same thought too on the researcher. A guy that gets freaked out over a woman breastfeeding to the degree he did is someone that is researching what topics to do? Maybe that’s why so many of their topics are boring and unintelligent. A “women’s” show that is produced and researched by men?
I think in today’s climate of drama based media, EH is unfortunately what draws viewers. Look at most message boards about the show and it’s all about EH and it’s by people that claim to hate her, but guess what…they still watch the show. That’s all that matters. I also think that Huffington Post must get paid for the amount of stories it does to promote The View and EH and BW.
Anyway, I hope you keep the podcasts coming!

    3. Sky Says:

That’s the first time I’ve listened to your podcast. You did a great job with it. Thank you for sharing.

This is a trivial issue but one that has become a daily eye sore on The View. I’d like to know if it bothers you or anyone else for that matter that Elisabeth doesn’t get her roots done for weeks on end? I watch The View in HD and let me tell you, those roots get worse everyday. If she can’t get them done properly then I’d like to suggest that she simply quit coloring her hair. She certainly can afford to get her hair professionally done and I wonder if she honestly thinks that big brown roots is a good look on her? It isn’t.

As for BW’s book, well she’s said it all on every show she can get her surgically enhanced mug on and it’s to the point of nausea now to even hear the title of her book or her name. There was a time I used to like her, but the problem with her is that she doesn’t know when to retire. She is well passed her prime and it shows. She slows The View down when she is on it and has turned it into one big advertisement for herself with the promoting of her book. Shameless and tacky that is is carrying on into yet another week.

Keep up the updates on Rosie. To me the time Rosie was on The View was the most provocative, entertaining, heartfelt and interesting. Nothing they have produced to date has come close to that level.

As for the hot topics, the discussions always stop short of what might become a good debate when it is a good topic. It seems to me that there is an effort to water down conversations. They are more like Lukewarm Topics for the most part. I think the women of The View are capable of more then what they are discussing for the most part. I would find it more interesting if they came up with their own hot topics or allowed viewers to email in hot topics they would like to hear discussed.

Look forward to your next podcat.

    4. ShannonP Says:

Sky, some magazine I was reading the other day talked about it is IN to have your roots exposed now. How it’s sexy. It’s the only place I’ve ever read it and I can’t remember where it was, but I remember thinking I bet EH read this and is going for the latest hip look, to be before the crowd on what is trendy. I personally think it looks lame. Choose a hair color. If you want to go the bleach blonde look, do it fully. It’s like she wants to be a blonde but wants to let people know she’s really a brunette too.

    5. Sky Says:

You don’t say? Well maybe we’re too old to know what’s in. ha ha I don’t think it’s a sexy look personally for a talk show host. If she were Madonna, then maybe.

I’d compare her 2 months growth of roots to someone who had a manicure and hadn’t touched it up in weeks. Unsightly.

Having said that, she is a beautiful woman and even her roots don’t take away from that. Just saying…
