If you could change one thing about The View, what would it be?

I would like to see The View depart TV. It was once a very_good show but after 9 years and now 11 - it’s become a sham.

I remember when Everybody Loves Raymond bowed out after 9 years because they wanted to leave properly, not overstaying (overkill).

Well, I feel the same way about the View; only for the past 2 years, they have made absolute fools (morons) of themselves and are beyond leaving like ladies.

A lady always knows when to leave, evidently Barbara doesn’t know these things.

Just my humble opinion.

I would make the show live 5 days a week instead of 4.

I would get rid of Bill Geddie and replace him with a strong, intelligent woman. One that would make sure the show represented women well and focused on things women care about. Not the latest Cosmo poll. I think making a move like that would take care of my other desired changes too like getting a couple ladies off the panel.

I’d get rid of Elizabeth Hasselbeck.

If I could change one thing it would be to replace Elisabeth Hasselbeck with a young, intelligent and articulate woman, of either political persuasion.

I would personally pack EH’s bags and lip gloss and buy her a one-way ticket to Loserville, then I would find an articulate, honorable Republican AND Independent (hopefully with some credentials beyond Survivor cast-off and horrific shoe designer) and balance the panel.

Nix Bill Gedde..get a smart FEMALE Executive Producer and do the show UPSCRIPTED. I would also consider replacing EH with a conservative who doesnt spew Hannity speech from the night before and can back her statements!

I would change some things concerning the Hot Topics segment. I would want a few intelligent women to be in charge of coming up with interesting and meaningful Hot topics. As well I would instruct the host to be more mindful of talking cover and interrupting the other host. I like the full day of hot topics and would keep that.

If I could change one thing about “The View” it would be to let Eliz H. go and recuit nice other folks of the conservative view, one at a time, till they find one that can respond to political discussions without going rabid.

I would change the researchers for hot topics and ensure no topic is off the table

LONG TERM WISH:
Fire whoever it is that is responsible for the hiring, firing, and production of this fiasco. Don’t know if that is BG, BF, or someone higher.

(hopefully from that certain other people will be fired, from co-hosts who shall remain nameless to camera crew to support staff. There are sooo many problems there is not a quick fix.)

QUICK FIX (action that will be the quickest to bring about signficant change)
Fire EH.

I would bring more substance to the hot topics, they are, at most, ’tepid’ topics

My only change would be less Barbara. I can’t stand it when she is on. I absolutely love EH though. More of EH!

I’d like a different cohost to represent the conservative side or a republican.

get rid of eh

The one thing I would do to change The View is remove Elisabeth Hasselbeck and replace her with someone who is actually representative of the “younger” demographic - ie 20-30 years old. It is fine with me if the person replacing Elisabeth Hasselbeck also represents he Republican/Conservative viewpoint. However, they need to be intelligent, mature, well-read and know how to debate (not scream, whine and simply repeat Sean Hannity rhetoric).

Vegas wrote:

Let Sherri go. She was a poor choice to fill the 5th seat. Replace her with another Republican with conservative values.Someone who can run circles around Elisabeth. Someone in their mid to late 20’s, that demographic is not even represented on the show.
