    whoppi was good with hannity.

lmao at hannity “I was talking about bill clinotn” classic. :)

and ” dont have sex with strangers” loves it.lol he is hilariuos.

    thanks winnie and rog.

  2. MiamiVision Says:

Thanks, Roger from Ohio and Winnie, for supplying those videos!

I thought it was a real good interview. Loved it when she cracked up re-the president lying and he meant bill clinton and she meant gwb…

she is always so comfortable (except perhaps at the View table) when being interviewed - but then she always, to me, seems to have a buzz on. lol

  3. berndoubt Says:

What makes Whoopi different in every other setting except on The View? I really like her everywhere else. She should try to handle Bitsy the same way she handled Sean Hannity. The problem is, and I really hate to even say it, Sean Hannity appears to have the one iota of intelligence that Bitsy lacks.

  4. gonnavent Says:

That’s it - I really try, honest - but I just can’t seem to comprehend how the mind of a conservative republican works. It’s like they have chips in their heads that won’t allow them to compute that republicans are capable of messing up. Really Hannity - George Bush didn’t lie to the country?

  5. marthe Says:

My favorite part was Whoopi throwing her head back in a spontaneous guffaw when hannity said dumbya didn’t lie.

My first thought when whoopi commented that she felt a sudden pain in her side? Bits was sticking a pin in her whoopi voodoo doll, screeching hannity must win!

they actually had a real discussion. I say slap a wig on hannity and we have our new conservative co-host.

  6. Mary Evans Says:

Thanks Rog and Winnie. I thought it was quite interesting. Hope EH tuned in as usual and saw that Hannity didn’t.constantly.interrupt. And why can’t Whooppi chat like that on The View? I too loved WG’s reaction that they weren’t talking about Dub, Hannity was talking about Clinton! Wish they would play that clip on The View tomorrow. Yeah, I can’t stand Hannity but would take him any time over EH. At least thoughts are his own and not borrowed and memorized with a handy cheatsheet with deflections such as socialist, abortions……

  7. Roger from Ohio Says:

I wish I could be interviewed by this clown.

He kept harping about Rev Wright and why didnt Obama leave the church… did he stay because he agreed with Wright’s “radical” views?

My response to that tirade, would be this….

Sean…. you claim to be a devout Catholic…. why did you stay with the church when you found out that it was happening through out the church where priests were sexually abusing children….. did you stay in the church because you agree with and support pedophilia?

  8. Lopez Says:

Hannity and Bitchy are one in the same. Hannity doesn’t regurally let others talk without interupting.

  9. Kelly Says:

Sean Hannity wants an honest President…Sean Hannity wants the Truth? Since when?

Great job Whoopi. The word is “wrangle.”

I had never seen Hannity’s show - and now that I am defiled, I feel it’s my right to say Sean Hannity is as awful as I had always imagined. Hannity is a professional liar who hides behind freedom of speech and his corny GREAT AMERICAN branding scheme.

-Hannity holds up the Constitution, which BUSH shredded by wiretapping journalists
-Hannity claims America corrected its injustices while we bomb Iraq/create more terrorists
-Hannity drills some more on Rev. Wright while ignoring Pastor Ted Haggard
-Hannity talks about respectfully disagreeing while hammering away on Michelle
-Hannity talks Wright, Ayers, and patriotism while economy tanks and jobs are lost…

    HANNITY = HYPOCRITE + PROPAGANDIST-FOR-HIRE

Hannity thinks Obama is a liar? Obama didn’t lie about Wright when he offered his opinion of him– nor is Hannity’s claim that Ayers is “non repentant” (as TLB loves to repeat), true. Not true. What Ayers said was that he didn’t regret taking a stand against Viet Nam – a war that killed so many of his friends and so many innocent lives; thousands upon thousands of more lives and devastation than the Iraq War. And how does any of this matter when discussing President Obama? I served on many boards too, and I don’t condone, condemn or have knowledge of all the other board members’ views or history. Guilt by association IS OVER SEAN.

Barack and Michelle Obama are some of the finest – if not the finest – America has to offer. President Obama has set the bar so high – people like Hannity can only hope to crawl under it.

“If you’re our president, tell me the truth…” are you serious Hannity. You can sit there and say that with a straight face? Why weren’t you interested in the “TRUTH” when billions went missing in Iraq, when whistleblowers ended up dead or missing, when torture at Abu Ghraib was blamed on a few lower-level soldiers, when Pat Tillman’s death was covered-up, when Florida rigged GWB’s first election, and Ohio rigged the second? Where were you Sean when BUSH spent 3 years out of 8 years on vacation, when BushCo. outed the CIA officer or when Bush hired BlackWater to protect Big Oil? Where were you in the quest for the truth during deregulation, SEAN? Why didn’t you have a problem with the Bush appointments, like Brown, Rice or Snow?

George Bush and Co cherry picked intelligence to justify the invasion in Iraq – according to Patrick Lang, a former Defense Intelligence Agency officer for the Middle East.

And you wonder why the ‘50 million liberated Iraqis’ are erecting SHOE shrines to the journalist who lobed his shoes at Bush…they aren’t erecting statues to Bush…SEAN. They didn’t ask us to liberate them…or to steal their oil…or to kill their children. They didn’t ask us for anything. YOUR president SEAN waged an illegal war and used cherry-picked intelligence to justify his intended deception. Grow-up.

Google: Bush acknowledged he lied about Rumsfeld, but media refused to call him on it

Hannity/FOX/Murdoch is spreading disinformation, spin, hype and propaganda that enabled BUSH to destroy effortlessly for 8 long years – and that is why he is dangerous. He hides the truth, spins the lies, and distracts with minutia. You Sean, are the LIAR. You are a well-paid puppet and you know it. Your immoral deeds are between you and God. Good luck with that.

BTW - I just watched Whoopi in the documentary “Searching for Debra Winger.”

The film explores the Over-40 Actresses in Hollywood and their personal journeys to find work, meaning, purpose, vitality and themselves.

I’m not yet forty – but this documentary speaks to me and I would highly recommend it for anyone who enjoys watching these actresses out-of-character, as they let go of their youth and embrace their inner beauty. Whoopi is as she always is – frank and refreshing.

This documentary also touches on the creative process that Heather in LA so aptly explained when discussing Christian Bale’s meltdown.

Searching for Debra Winger 2002 (love Debra).

  10. marthe Says:

We are thinking about our fellow ozzie posters and their fellow citizens during these horrendous fires. Latest I’ve heard is 108 dead.

  11. mibi Says:

hannity does no believe the words that are coming out of his mouth. He just about laughed when whoppi started to lauging. He just gets paid to say the things he says so he says them.

fires are the worst. so sad. im praying for them.

  12. Hallie Says:

So much good info. Thanks, Kelly. When Whoopi can be herself and doesn’t have to deal with the teleprompter (hasn’t she said before that she’s dyslexic?), people whispering in her ear, and the segues to commercial, she’s much more lucid and personable. This moderating gig doesn’t seem to be a good fit for her.

  13. rainlillie Says:

    Oh Kelly,
How I wish more people had the thirst for knowledge and information that you have. Perhaps if they did, Bush wouldn’t have been able to get away with all that he’s gotten away with.

I agree, Sean is a dangerous man because he fills the heads of his gullible ,intellectually lazy, morally challenged audience with misinformation.

  14. susieq Says:

“I agree, Sean is a dangerous man because he fills the heads of his gullible ,intellectually lazy, morally challenged audience with misinformation.”

And Elisabeth is doing her best to reach the people who are smart enough not to watch Hannity.

At least Whoopi is willing to go on a show where someone has a different opinion than her. Elisabeth on Rachel Maddow, I think not.

  15. Kelly Says:

Thanks Hallie – agreed. Whoopi’s at her best…when she relinquishes control.

eain – we were all betrayed by Corporate Media, and apathy did us in. But the majority, hallelujah, woke up.

Good point susieq – I would love to see Rachel turn Hasslecrack into baby powder.

I also want to extend my thoughts to our Australian friends. We hope you’re all safe and sound.

  16. Kelly Says:

    eain? lol - rain
(r and e are keyboard neighbors)

  17. Lopez Says:

Am I the only one who thinks Whoopie didn’t do well?

    Who’s with me?

  18. berndoubt Says:

#17, what didn’t you like? I liked that she listened, but didn’t back down and I love that she laughed at Hannity’s absurd assertion that Bush didn’t lie.

  19. Kelly Says:

I will say this: Whoopi was no Ashley Judd.

rain has the Larry King video up on her site – and Ashley lets Palin have it (they even show The View clip of EH scolding all the socialists at the table).

    Judd is good. Really good.

Joey - make sure you watch the video - they confirm what you said about the wolves not endangering the herds, but rather, humans being responsible for the dwindling numbers. Palin’s intent is to give wealthy hunters a new thrill kill. Twice the voters in Alaska voted down aerial hunting only to have Palin backdoor them…with their own tax dollars.

“ANCHORAGE, Alaska– Citizens have voted to ban aerial wolf hunting twice but the issue is back.

This is the third time there’s been a statewide vote on this issue. The other votes were in 1996 and 2000, both against aerial shooting.

The first vote was overwhelmingly against the issue and the second vote was a very strong majority. However, the state Legislature overturned both of those decisions.”

  20. Roger from Ohio Says:

Since this post is about the media…. this post that I found on the wOw blog by one of the commenters……. a very impressive left wing activist…..she posted this and I thought it was important enough to share with some of the activists in here as well.

We changed our government, but not the media— who apparently have not weaned themselves from covering every utterance of former Bush staffers and administration officials as if it were always

This week, Andrew Card decided to scold the new President of The United States for not following an oval office dress code, and went on to say (lie) that his old boss “W” never went into the oval without a jacket and tie because he had too much respect for the office of the President. This grandstanding was silly and it turns out it was also a LIE.

Photos are out now of PsOTUS BUSH, REGAN, FORD, CLINTON, KENNEDY and CARTER all working in the oval without a jacket… sometimes without a tie.

Andrew Card should go back on the talk show circuit he so loves and apologize. He should say he was wrong, and apologize for wasting our time as we are busy right now cleaning up the disaster area left by him and his old boss.

Andrew now serves on the Board of Union Pacific Railroad— Please contact him via their office in Nebraska and demand that he respects the office of the President enough to apologize for being wrong.

  21. Kelly Says:

“I liked that she listened, but didn’t back down and I love that she laughed at Hannity’s absurd assertion that Bush didn’t lie.” - bern

That was some funny chyt - you could pratically hear Whoopi’s jaw hit the floor.

  22. Lopez Says:

Bern, I find Whoopi, on The View and Hannity, unpolished. She’s a horrible speaker.

Did anyone catch Ashley Judd on Larry King Live? You can check it out on YouTube.

I expect Whoopi to sound polished, like Judd. Whoopi has been on The View long enough to have learned the art of answering and asking a question.

    She’s uninspiring.

  23. gonnavent Says:

Sorry to do this, but BERNDOUBT, how can I get in touch with you? When you made your introduction you mentioned that you were looking for job. Well, just got back from a meeting and a client of mine wants me to find a great copywriter for a one-off project. Nothing big, but it may be fun? I don’t know! You clearly can write - and I would just put an ad on craigslist anyway - so I thought I would ask you first. If you would like to get the details and discuss further, please let me know. I don’t want to put my e-mail address up here (I’d be sure to get tons of spam if I did that) so I’m wondering how I can get in touch with you to explain the project and talk about it further…..any suggestions?

  24. Lopez Says:

gonnavent, email Winnie and give her your email address. She’ll forward it to Bern.

  25. gonnavent Says:

thanks lopez for the suggestion! berndoubt, if you are interested, I e-mailed Winnie my e-mail address via the contact button on this page! I hope you contact me - I think you are a great writer - and while the project is nothing BIG, you may have fun with it!

  26. ShannonP Says:

Lopez, I wasn’t impressed with Whoopi. I was surprised she was even on the show.
I was though impressed with Ashley Judd and how she conducted herself on Larry King. She surprised me, because I haven’t been a fan of her acting and I was expecting an airhead to be honest, and she wasn’t at all. She was informed and an excellent speaker on it. I love how they suggested CNN and other media go to Alaska with Palin and let people decide. Not to just conduct these hunts in private. If people saw the cruelty involved, there would be an outrage.
I think people should boycott Alaskan tourism until they change it.

  27. Mary Evans Says:

I wasn’t sure why WG was on Hannity. I think she did a lot better than on The View. Not that I really care about what she thinks.

But it is annoying, imo, she did better than when on The View.

I think a moderator - well, moderates the discussion, like Mere did, not like WG does. She doesn’t seem to get her gig. I get very tired of her rambling and excusing viewpoints like - we JUST don’t know, really
everybody. How many hour did her work, where are my tolls going, etc etc etc.

  28. Lopez Says:

Thanks for your thoughts, Shannon. For a while it was just crickets. I’m glad it isn’t only me.

  29. Roger from Ohio Says:

Lopez…. you do know that crickets make good pets….. and you can take them fishing.

I agree with you that Whoopi was kinda weak on Hannity’s show. But she seldom impresses me.

Hannity said a few things that were just incorrect….. she didnt set the record straight, except when she was laughing about Bush lying.

To her credit though, there wasnt any reason why she should expose him….. if she would have I doubt they would have aired the show.

Im not sure why she was on his show….. does anyone know the background on why she was on?

  30. berndoubt Says:

#23 and #25, gonnavent, that is wonderful! I just got to log on to Watching the View for the first time today, so please don’t mistake my lack of reply for a lack of interest! I would love to be a professional writer! Thanks so much for thinking of me!

  31. berndoubt Says:

Lopez and ShannonP, I guess she was easier to understand when she was allowed to finish a sentence and that made her seem better. I think I know what you mean about her not being polished. She certainly isn’t the person you’d ask to deliver a commencement speech. If she wasn’t so afraid of losing her “gig” at The View, maybe she’d be better. I do get tired of her sage from on high attitude. I probably plays much better in person than on television.

  32. Aileen Says:

Whoops was just herself as I expected. She has no need to put her fist down the dumb arse’s throat and pull out shpinxter . I love when she nearly fell backwards in the rediculous statement that George did not lie in all of his 8 years. Why bother even going on his show?

    I’m just saying..
