Whoopi/Sherri Rumors continue

The LA Times is reporting that Whoopi Goldberg and Sherri Shepherd have been offered the co-host spots on The View. ABC has yet to make an official announcement. If it is true, I certainly hope that Whoopi adds some pep to her personality because her guest spots were rather dull. If she doesn’t, what is left of the The View audience will be falling asleep…or changing the channel.

    I no lonegr watch the View, but I have managed to catch Whoppi on in the past. I find Whoopi to be a complete bore and Sherri is too lowclass. For someone who claims to be a Christian she has one of the most dirty mouths when she does her stand up. I’m talking stuff that would have made Richard Pryor blush. Rosie was the best IMO.

    Whoopi is okay, but would not be my first choice.. I do remember her being a guest host a few months ago and remember her being more vibrant. I believe that was when Rosie was on - maybe that was the difference?

    I hope Sherri does not get it. The more I saw her, the more I do not care for her. I suppose her hosting occasionally is not bad but everyday? Ick.

    I still say Gayle would be a great addition to the panel.

    Gayle wouldn’t take that job. That would be a step down for her. Working with and for Barb Walters is very tedious…she’s such a phony person.

    Whoopi is okay. She keeps things calm and collected. Don’t know if she really meshes well with One-liner Joy or Talking-point Elisabeth. Whoopi might be able to teach Sherri a thing or two. No, they are not really fun to watch. Rosie whipped things up and that’s why it was exciting to watch.
